Why does people hate priest so much, it seems like it just simply can't have good cards or good decks cause people start crying and bitching about it.
Divine spirit and inner fire are arguably the only good cards from the classic set thst priest has (other stuff like pw:s and shadow priest are decent as well) and you want to take it away? Those are just combo cards that are gonna get hella unreliable with shadow visions rotating.
I think that complaining about Mind Blast or Divine Spirit is a little like claiming the something should be done about bullets because people keep getting shot without realising that they require a machine of some sort to propel them. These cards may be the thing that ultimately appears to be causing you pain, but it's teh cards that enable them which are usually more the cause of the problem. In this particular instance, we need to look at cards like Prophet Velen, Radiant Elemental, Topsy Turvy and Malygos. And perhaps Shadow Visions as well. If Topsy Turvy was raised to 1 mana, it would solve all the problems with Wall Priest.
These are the cards that cause the real issue. But they are easily missed due to fact that the agony of losing often focuses around the card that seemingly deals the killing blow (rather than the cards that cause the problem in the first place).
Priest is ridicously strong, being able to draw and duplicate the most powerful cards when needed makes the clase impossible to beat. The only chance is to rush them down quickly because once it gets going around turn 6 its game over.
Its a staple for low budget decks and gives them a win condition. Like a basic shamnan deck can win with bloodlust. So no not a problem card in itself. Changing ti would make the standard priest deck unusable.
I don't understand why Divine Spirit and Inner Fire don't get nerfed. Based on the last few nerfs blizzard has been making the case that classic and basic cards have been auto includes in certain decks. Don't be mistaken by my comments divine spirit/inner fire are by no means auto includes. The druid ramp nerf i understand, the paladin one puzzled me a little bit but still i'm okay with it. Now I have to imagine blizzard has noticed that the divine spirit/inner fire combo have been around forever and have consistently found their way into top tier competitive decks. they should honestly just rotate the classic set and/or nerf a bunch of the popular basic cards that still help maintain a classes "identity" but doesn't make them auto includes. I understand divine spirit/inner fire wont be nearly as effective come the rotation because preists are losing their resurrect cards and that makes it a much easier time for the opponent to clear only a few high health minions. But since the beginning of hearthstone these two cards have been the a win condition all on their own. I just think it's time for blizzard to completely re-evaluate the basic and classic sets or maybe i'm just too frustrated since i've lost to 3 wall priests today
While i don't believe them to be problematic since that kind of archetype constantly phase in and out of the meta-game depending on the supporting cards around, I also do believe that eventually either card should eventually be moved to hall of fame just cause their presence can cause priest to feel way too similar to play year by year which in turn may bother or fatigue people with the class, causing what would otherwise be just another deck/win condition to feel oppressive.
Shadow Visions is the problem card and everyone knows it. IF priest (and Mind Blast priest for that matter) were meme tier until this year really and they arent that good until the meta settles.
its just case like Prophet Velen the card doesnt see any competitive play until Shadow Visions came out and gave priest consistency for combo game plans wheter its mind blast or divine spirit/inner fire
its a huge fucking problem, not only that preist is op enough, the preist gets a gay lightspawn, then he doubles its hp,wich doubles its attack so its at what 10/10?( cheap cunt) plus he heals him, boom 12 at 5 mana crystals. why the fuck does this devine spell not cost 10 mana or 8? i do'nt know but i'ts fucking op how much damage some minions can do and how you can just blitzkreig the people with 2 fucking cards.its op,it needs a nerf
I feel like it should give +5 Health or something. That way it maintains the burst health effect, but is soft capped at +10 with two copies. I understand it makes it slightly better on smaller minions, but It's mostly used for big combos anyways.
There are many problematic cards in the classic set IMO, and Divine Spirit isn't one of them. Especially now that Shadow Visions rotated. The card is fine.
Transparent OTK hate is transparent. I actually played before Shadow Visions & IF priest was never a consistent OTK deck prior to Shadow Visions. See any IF priests anywhere in the meta now that rotations have happened?
There are some obvious reasons for that (the most important being that an IF priest deck that has only 2 Divine Spirits requires a deck full of almost nothing but cycling and decks like that without busted survival & removal on top of that just don't work on a competitive basis).
Must be in Hall of Fame the next year !

I think people just grow bored of the same win conditions appearing in the same class over time. Another good reason to have a rotating core set....
It's good for classes to have win conditions. It's just nice to mix them up.

Shadow visions is the real problem card.

No, go away.

We will see its decline at rotation.
