I am a F2P player, always have been, will probably always be. but this is the first time in a while where I actually feel like a small budget player with no cards.
and so I wonder if maybe only investing in 3 classes might be a good idea, and I don't mean just only crafting for those classes. but also DE everything else. not commons, and rares, but all the other epics and legendaries
I three classes will be shaman, warrior, and warlock. I counted and I would get 14500 dust. that is enough for almost every card I am missing from those classes.
most of this is coming from druid, I have 5 legendaries and 8 epics from that class. but they decided to kill combo druid, and all the ramp. and now all there is left is token and beast druid. all of which I don't like. I never really have found any appeal to rogue, mage, paladin, or priest. hunter and druid would be hard, but I think I could let go of druid, but I am not sure about hunter.
I am mainly looking for advice from other F2P players. it is to easy to say 'don't do it! just be patient' when you have spent over a thousand dollars and own every card.
*edit* I would like to clarify that I DO play wild, and I have a pretty fair wild collection. and all the cards I mentioned crafting I have wanted to craft for a while now. I did not decide "what if I dusted all my cards, lets see what I can craft. . ." I already thought about what I need, and what I want. I am already sure about the cards I am crafting.
*edit* I looked over it again, and the only thing I would really be losing is druid, the other classes are mainly just a epic here and there. but druid will be dead if I DE it. so change the title to "should I DE druid?" and then consider that. it sounds really bad saying "should I gut 2/3 of my collection" but most of that is just from druid.
Short term? Cool, you got few thousands of dust... Yaaaay, you can play some weird version of a Warrior now! Long term? Fuck no. The cards you have are decent, overall pretty good. Half of the cards you mention you want to craft are not worth the dust imo. Only DE if the expansion has rotated and only if its unplayable, thats my rule as F2P.
I believe that you have already made up your mind, and you will seek out the replies that support your decision. Go with your gut, but also realize that the return on disenchanting legendaries and epics is really poor. Think long term.

the hope is that longterm, I can continue to play shaman, warrior, and warlock. and I can continue to get good decks for them because I don't craft anything else.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
I also apply a similar policy, but not so extreme. In fact, i selected 2 classes i always disenchant, 1 to keep always at full power, the others depend. I am also a full f2p.
I tried to be more restrictive, but in the end i found 3 classes is not enough to enjoy the game for me.
But if so far you were able to enjoy it by playing EXCLUSIVELY those 3, FOR A LONG WHILE, then it might indeed work for you.
Do it, some classes are just garbage to play or play against, no matter what deck type Blizzard comes up with. If you hate a class now, you are unlikely to ever appreciate it. For me, it's Rogue.
Everything about the Rogue playstyle pisses me off and I wish I could ban the class from my game and never open another Rogue card again.
I'm never sure what people define as F2P, but I've never spent a cent on a game to be honest.
I can tell you I've never made it to legend, I've never played the top tier deck and nevertheless, I'll (probably) never DE one class for another for the simple reason: this game, just like everything else is dynamic and constantly changes and rotates. Giving myself a chance to always be relevant by crafting legendary or 2 every expansion and several key epics gives ME a pretty good feeling. I'm never too far behind in my feeling...
classes change and one may be strong now but weak next year
I personally dont care about whats weak or strong. but having every single deck just barely out of my reach is just so frustrating and soul crushing. I want to do this to stay ahead on some decks

I play f2p on all 3 regions. I personally would not do it. Better to just DE the cards you have that never see play and craft a few cards to keep your decks strong. I often get legend even though I am nearly always missing a few cards that ideally I would like to have in my deck in favour of being able to play more classes. But it really is personal preference. Zuljin and Rexxar alone = very strong hunter deck
IMO that is a bad idea. I'm a F2P player myself and I rarely DE cards. I plan to sacrifice 1 or 2 classes for the benefit of others, but not 6. At the very least wait for the rotation. I don't know if you play wild, but if not, you'll get dust from those cards, that is my general gameplan. IMO F2P and wild just dont work together.

most of the good cards I would be losing are: Branching Paths X2, Ultimate Infestation X2, To My Side! X2, Fandral Staghelm, Malfurion the Pestilent, Halazzi, the Lynx, Deathstalker Rexxar, and Zul'jin. and there are others, but this is what would hurt the most.
the cards I would be crafting are: Electra Stormsurge, Al'Akir the Windlord, Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound, Darius Crowley, Dr. Boom, Mad Genius, Mojomaster Zihi, Sylvanas Windrunner, Far Sight X2, Town Crier X2, Voodoo Doll, Big Game Hunter, and Crowd Roaster,
what do you think?

I wouldn't do that, but I have the tendency to never de anything unless I really need to. Ultimately it's up to you
do it
Just. DO IT!
I made this thread so that everyone could say yes, and I would not have to make that hard decision.
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
Absolutely not.
There have been classes that I've hated until a certain archetype was introduced. Then I couldn't stop playing them.

No. Never. You're going to regret in less than a month, because the decks you play with now probably won't be viable soon.
All my friends who have DE'd classes have quit the game soon after; don't make that mistake.
Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
do not do it

OP, Just DON'T DO IT!
You will eventually get bored of playing the same classes over and over, especially if they are only 3.
JUST DO IT
