It's only really annoying if you let it annoy you.
Just take the game nice and slow, squelch the opponent if the emotes annoy you. Rope them back if you feel it's on purpose, use the extra time productively and plan your next few moves.
The old story, we all faced the people who intentionally wait after they make their move in order to make the opponent leave because they don't want to have a 30mins long game (and yes i'm not even joking, we are talking about 30 MINUTES).
Now its about time to talk about this and make something change and happen. This is an issue that has been going for WAY too long. The players who still enjoy to play HS should not still face such issues when they are ranking up.
Just as of my case today, and who I am. Im a guy who played this game since beta, I quitted many times within this years, but lets say I made legend about 15+ times on my own account, chilling and having fun. Today I was ranking up, from rank 4 to 2 in about 2h and I met this guy who was intentionally making his move and sending me emotes and making his turns the longest possible. And I got to thinking, is this still a thing in hs? like SERIOUSLY? After SO LONG the community didn't stand up to FIX this problem in the game that its RUINING the joy of it COMPLETELY???
many times I had in my head the simple idea of advising the game creators to understand, that by making a playmode where everything must be done faster, would have brought up way more interest on the game for many type of players who don't want to have endless games and even enjoy to play long decks without being scared of having to face matches of 10+ minutes, but side from that, are we still having the issue of people intentionally making games ENDLESS?
If you care about this problem, and if you care about fix issue being solved, upvote this thread and lets hope someone will take actions. Side note, I won't be playing anymore HS until this is solved.
You are propperly not very old and therefore impatience. Its like saying when playing with a chessclock that chess players shouldnt use the time they have! People can use the time to think about the next turn og get a good hand read, this is what makes good players.

I haven't had it happen to me much. Not a big problem. Maybe 5x in well over 10,000 matches.
If you are having a higher percentage than that, maybe the problem is YOU.

Don't let little things like that get to you. And if you don't enjoy the game, play something else that you will enjoy.
