Now let me start by saying this is not a salt thread at all, it is an observation. Quite the opposite in fact, since the priest deck I am using has about an 80% winrate against any even shaman I play against.
So I have not been playing ladder in wild for a while and the last time I played it this much, Odd Paladin was pretty much every other matchup I came against, next to Combo druids. I am guessing ever since the Saronite Chain Gang change, people have opted out of Shudderwock shaman (Which doesn't make much sense since there are still tons of options to summon copies of your shudder in wild but hey got to go with muh netdecks) and everyone's gone full on Even Shaman.
I have a very positive winrate against this deck since if you can handle the early pressure, they will run out of cards very quickly and having Reno in your deck is devastating against them. The reason I am making this thread is to express my frustration in the fact that these kinds of lazy, mindless decks are once again dominating the meta. Even though they're not even winning against me 80% of the time, it's still very boring to come against these decks every other match because the match is always the same - They flood the board with cheap minnions and do as much face damage as possible, I clear their board once or twice, play Reno and win or in the cases where I lose it's just because I don't draw any of my board clears.
I am tired of people giving these decks the excuse that "they're cheaper". No they are not cheaper than your average deck. You need at least one legendary in Genn/Baku (two of the most cancerous cards in the game) and you need tons of epic minions such as that giant and in Odd Pally's case it was Shield Up or whatever it is called.
To sum it all up, I don't think I am a superior player for playing control decks vs people who like these aggro decks, I am just implying that I don't contribute towards the cancerous meta that has been created by flooding every possible netdeck site with these idiotic and mindless decks so new players feel the obligation to craft these decks instead of going with something that would make hearthstone more fun for everyone, regardless if they win or lose the game, playing against Even shaman is not fun. Oh and also that Even Shaman players are probably still attending special education classes well into their 30s
I'm a bit confused by this post. It feels like at first you are talking about standard but then turns out it's about wild. Even Shaman has pretty much always been the stronger deck in wild and Odd paladin was played, but not to the extent of Even shaman. When Aviana got nerfed (and Star Aligner Druid basically dying), an absurd amount of games I played were against Even shaman (I don't have statistics since I don't use a deck tracker, but at least 50% of the games I played were against them). As far as I know, Shudderwock has never seen a lot of success in wild since there is just significantly better decks to play in the format.
About the whole "they're cheaper" argument, people who are f2p/don't want to spend a lot of money or just haven't played a while tend to make cards that can appear in multiple decks, such as Zilliax or Leeroy Jenkins. While Odd paladin and Even shaman do use some more niche cards, it is not like most control decks that rely on several legendary or epic rarity removal to be good.
Also, just a heads up, claiming you are not superior to someone else for the choice of your deck and then calling the people who use another deck to be mentally disabled doesn't really help the notion that you aren't salty about losing to a deck like this.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
Who says playing a deck full of board clear is less cancerous than vomiting your hand on the board and going face?
People define cancerous everything they can't play or, in most of the cases, what they can't defeat.
I can confirm that playing against countless removal such as Psychic Scream until "the light has betrayed me" and multiple Mind Blast is not that interactive either.
Moreover, you say this is not a salt thread, but yes it actually is: people can get salty even when they win, and that's your case.
If you want to play a game where you win are you are satisfied of the way you do it 100% of the times I suggest you Solitaire
I know many guys who would say that Priest is the most cancerous deck in standard.
OddPaladin and Hunter are The top dogs at the moment? That’s fine by me I can tech my deck against that or have at least an interactive game. ( What i guess Hearthstone is supposed to be?)
But against Priest... Boardclear + heal and then they otk you... fun and interactive....
If you win 80% against even shaman and there are quite a few on ladder you should be legend by now and there are definitely less even shamans.
I play six different decks (Mecha'Thun Warlock, MillZoth Rogue, Reno Priest, Fatigue Warrior, Reno Warlock and Even Shaman) to climb on wild ladder to have counter queue options and more variety. Of course one of those decks is even shaman to counter AGGRO decks, because it is a strong midrange deck that counters aggro/tempo decks like mech hunter, odd paladin and pirate rogue. This combination brought me to rank 2 so far this month, but with your magic even shaman counter you are most likely legend since day 1, so you don't need to listen to me.
At least you are pointing out "I don't think I am a superior player", because no, you are not if you play one style all the time and can't even differentiate aggro from tempo and midrange. -> Salt thread please.

But they are actually CHEAPER. Compare Odd Paladin or Even Shaman to Reno decks, one can be played with two or three legendaries and some epics while the other is full of one offs of niche legendaries and epics. If a f2p player wants to climb ladder, he would probably go for a 8k-10k dust deck like Even Shaman rather than 18k - 20k Reno decks.
To sum it up: You wish the meta would be as you want it to be. Your superior Reno player brain is amazing while the brains of pesky Genn and Baku players are attending special education school in their 30s. I would believe you that this is not the Salt thread but this just really baffles me. Have fun playing your superior Reno decks. xDDDDDD
I don't play much wild, but I've played even shaman plenty in standard. It's a fair deck and it's tons of fun to play, especially against other mid-range and aggro decks. Board clears are no more brainy.

"It's not a Salt Thread"
"Cancer, Stupid Aggro, Special Education needed, blah blah blah"
Not a salt thread? Really? 😂
4/3/19 RIP Keith Flint. 😔
No.
Nerfed Odd Paladin is the new Odd Paladin.

Cancerous decks is not an objective concept.

Calls them mindless decks, plays a deck that relies on drawing Reno Jackson to win games. Nice.
Copy that.

I've been dicking about with an Odd-Shaman Deck. Wound up with four Ysera's in one game yesterday. It's quite fun.
Golden Hero Collections thus far; -
Europe: Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior (9/9)
Americas: Druid, Mage, Paladin Shaman (4/9)
Everywhere else: Workin on it.. (0/9)
Nobody cares of that much subjective BS in 2019.
Nothing to discuss from an OP full of so much prejudice.

"I clear their board once or twice, play Reno and win" and that's somehow ingenious, creative, strategic or fresh?
"80% Winrate.... winning is boring".
I must be doing it wrong... :-(
