Many people seem to think Wild is either super aggro or who combos first so Hunter decks will not survive Wild. Do you think with additions like DR Rexxar, Zuljin etc the decks will still be played competitively?
Mech Hunter and Secret Hunter are already part of the current Wild meta, since Boomsday.
Part of it yes, overpowered... maybe mech-hunter more than secret hunter. Wild have the benefit of an hard-counter that standard doesn't. Wild Mech Hunter is an really aggressive archetype that can destroy many decks out there. Secret Hunter is strong too, but it does not really have any other support than Cat Trick.

It has barnes yshar and a reliable way to dig for them, masters call
Do not mix Secret Hunter ands Spell Hunter. They are similar but not the same.
Secret Hunter has Subject 9,Secret Keeper and Cloaked Huntress + 2 Heroes,
Spell Hunter has Barnes,Yshaarj,R'hokdelar and 2 Heroes.

That's a different deck mate. Secret hunter has Subject 9 and Cloaked Huntress. Doesn't play Barnes.
Rexxar is not as OP in Wild as in Standard. In Wild, value is insane (and not in a good way). With Jades, N'Zoth, Kazakus, Big Priest and Even Shaman, it doesn't manage to outvalue its enemies so easily. Besides, filler small beasts grow with each set, such as Lost Tallstrider. I don't think Hunter will ever be as much of an issue in Wild as it is now in Standard.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
hunter is not that impressive in wild because there are so many more answers.
Like, the main reason why Zul'jin is insane in Standard is because few classes have answers or a comparable turn 10 powerplay.
In wild you have tons of AoEs, heals, N'zoth, etc.
Deathstalker Rexxar can win you games in Standard because removal and vluae is limited, therefore unlimited threats beat it.
In WIld value is basically unlimited and DK Rexxar is too slow.
Everything else works fine, which is why Secret Hunter is a valid deck.
Honestly, I wouuld try to really double down on Deathrattle Hunter and use Play Dead and Feign Death with Sylvanas Windrunner and other really broken Deathrattles.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

No. If it doesn't see play now, why would it in the future unless some broken cards come in?
I think you're missing something: current Standard sets are already playable in Wild, therefore

Secret Hunter,MechaHunter and Spell Hunter are all pretty good decks to climb. All of them are in Tier 2 and are not going anywhere soon in the Wild.

I play egg hunter in wild, very similar to DR hunter, but with broken shit added in for the memes.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Thought everyone played Metaltooth Leaper hunter in wild.. everyone seems to have a hive mind when it comes to hunters.
Not sure if hyped yet.
