Am I wrong to say? 1 example Barnes summon a 1/1 I silence it became full attack and health ? What is this shitty mechanics why risk for a card have extra advantages that risk nerfing as we know blizzard are greedy when it come to nerfing especially legendary. It should be simple and logical as this game is originally designed for its simplicity. Another unclear and dumb mechanism swapping a tar creeper logically u thought it would be 5/1 instead it become 5/3. What was the developer thinking if hearthstone want to make the game more complicated skill wise printing complicated cards like MTG I'm happy for it not such dumb mechanics
Hearthstone mechanics make sense. They give you the ruleframe and you act within it. No issues there, you just have to learn them. An actual problem is that there is no rulebook you can learn the rules from. And that some rules are used inconsistent by new cards, so that you cannot predict 100% how the card will behave in fringe cases. And that happens again and again...
The Barnes summoning acts as a debug making it a 1/1 so when you silence the minion, you silence the debuff as well.
The tar creeper one, if you swap it as a 3/5 it'll become a 5/3, nothing confusing there.
That what I'm saying if u understand the mechanics good for u. But why give it an advantage tho ? Barnes saying summon a 1/1 copy of a minionit didnt mention any debuff
Barnes, although controversial, is working as intended. He summons a minion from your deck, and then adds an enchantment that reduces health and attack to 1/1. Silencing the minion removes the debuff. It also removes any beneficial text such as charge in the case of King Krush. In addition, cards that resurrect a minion will restore the slain 1/1 with full stats.
In the case of the Tar Creeper, more info is needed - who's turn was it in each case? Swapping an aura-boosted minion 'fixes' the stats to the aura value and then the aura is typically reapplied. The only type of buff where this re-application does not occur is a temporary one, like that of Abusive Sergeant. If their Tar Creeper was swapped on your turn, I would expect it to become a 5/3 on your turn and a 7/3 on theirs. Of course I could be out of date about this as they have printed several rounds of 'swap' cards since I last looked into it and I rarely encounter them in game as I don't run swaps or aura-boosted minions in any deck.

What else would it be? All stat manipulations in the game are buffs and debuffs. Would you complain about silence giving back your attack debuffed by Aldor Peacekeeper or health debuffed by Equality too?
When playing vs big priest, the silence can be game winning anyway because what they really want is that 1-1 to die so they can resurrect it.
I thought this game supposed to be simple and casual how does new or casual players know ? Maybe I'm wrong the mechanics aren't dumb but it's design are. Summoning a high cost minion on 4 itself is already powerful resurrecting it back to original state on 2 mana and 6 mana is already OP add an extra advantage not being able to silence it is what I call dumb design

What u mean silence can be game winning? Since u silence it become original stats how is that game winning?
If you aldor a creature and after you silence it, the creature gets its default attack back. If set a creature into a 3/3 with the paladin spell/minion and you silence it the creature gets its default attack/health back. Everything is consistent and works as expected so the mechanics make sense.
I hate the “Barnes” rule and think it should be changed. It’s not intuitive and isn’t healthy for the game (it cores one of the most broken Wild decks). That being said, it always has been the rule and is consistent as such.

If you want to nerf Barnes, i have an open ear for it, but the rules should not change:
Silence removes EVERY effect of a card. This also means that it removes on 1/1 tokens the debuff that makes it a 1/1. This changes it back being a card with full stats, minus damage received.
And sorry, but it is healthy for the game, because it isn't really abused: sometimes it happens, but in reality it doesn't really matter. Yes, sometimes a 1/1 gets silenced and turned into a 8/8, but then it's your fault to keeping it alive (because you can't silence a minion and give it charge at least since warrior-card was nerfed)
If this was only a barnes-rant, then we have other threads for it.
They should just make persistent stat modification permanent across all zones, as in change the health/attack without enchantment text. It's not like there are that many cards that move minions across zones. Of course, Barnes Hunter would still be a thing though.

Because it will be a vanilla minion that you can just ignore.
The Barnes mechanic is perfectly fine (in terms of mechanics). The problem is your misunderstanding of the silence mechanic. Silence is not an universal debuff that solves any problem with a minion. Silence restores the base stats to a minion and takes away every effect and card text. Thus, it is absolutely logical that the 1/1 malygos receives its original stats.
What you are looking for is a transform effect like polymorph or hex. Or removal that doesn't kill the minion like entomb. Or steal mechanics like cabal shadowpriest.
I think all of us have done things like trying to kill a minion hit by Equality with Earth Shock. You will always remember how if works after that. No biggie tbh.

Once you learn it, it's both predictable and stupid.
