I wanted to share one game (screenshot) with you which is in relation with present day nerfs. What was nerfed are Druid ramp cards which constitute his identity from the beginning (basic cards). At the end of turn 6, this guy had 2 health remaining... and turn 9 he healed for 44 (with Standard cards)! Ok, no big deal, but hey in practically less than 3 turns he healed for 44! Hey! Not throughout the whole game; and with no ramping. Yet ramping is the problem, armor is not. :)
Now, seriously... I played hundreds of Druid games, enjoyed them, simultaneously aware they are powerful, not too powerful as people exaggerate (just remove one characteristic and they are dead like now), but they move around or up to 62% in comparison to a lot of other decks. Very consistent decks. There are 4 main aspects of Druids: 1) ramp (vertical), 2) Spreading Plague (horizontal), Ultimate Infestation (post ramp swing execution) and... 4) Insane amounts of armor! So, you ask what aspect makes these 62% the most? Blizzard says ramp, although I wouldn't say anything if we aren't in front of the nerfs, I say - armor.
Not Ramp because it's Druid's identity and he risks early game. We can talk about Plague, but there were games where I said to myself if there wasn't Plague these Druid decks would be tier 9, nonexistent, wouldn't do half the things what they do and only can do. Remove Plague, and all current and non current Druid decks would be dead, like they are now. UI for me is just a powerful 10 mana card. You can breach / play around all these defenses including walls of taunts, but then insane amounts of armor await, produced very cheaply.
Hero power, DK, 2nd hero power, Branching Paths, Oaken Summons (taunt / spellstone synergy) and finally: Ferocious Howl. The problem lays in this card, actually not much because of it as a particular card (3 mana draw a card gain 9 armor, lol), but because it was added last, probably to provide Druid with armor for the new Standard year (for some reason Druid became an armor class). And we ended with so many armor cards what would be too much for, heck, 3 Standard years.
When I was playing Togwaggle or Mecha'thun decks, during confident situations I was gaining 60 armor on average, often 80+, never bellow 50. Hundred plus would be possible if games would last that much. 50-70% of that armor is a surplus for what Druids are doing and need.
...People then call for nerfs... Blizzard for _some_ reasons come and does that in a manner - of an elephant released in a glass house.
All those cards you mentioned that creates loads of armor are expansion cards and they will be rotating out in another 4 months. Hence, it will not be an issue later on. Ramps cards like Wild Growth and Nourish had to be nerfed for the long-term health of the game.
This is from a Druid player and I understand where the nerfs are coming from. I don't like it but for the healthy of the game, I understand what it means. Don't worry about armor because it is just a current rotation theme and the next cycle will bring different themes to the table.

Actually I'm not worried at all. :) I just wanted to point out how Blizzard, in _some_ desire to solve problems (couldn't wait the rotation), chose to nerf a less problematic aspect of Druids (leaving comparatively more problematic). This guy wrecked me - without ramp! - but with a help of armor.
We are waiting for new Druid identity and playable archetypes in future. For now we can enjoy 'hero attack' archetype.
I've never really had an issue with the druid lategame shenanigans, it doesn't seem that much more gamebreaking than other control decks imo. The problem was that they could reach it so fast.
I really hope they support the attack power they got going in Rastakhan, or at least some better treant stuff. I think at least one of them will get some good support soon.
increase WG to 3....think about it what does it do? ok no coin WG on 1 then you have three mana on two...what does a druid play on three that you really cant deal with...NOTHING. turn 3 you WG now its turn 5 for you what does the druid do...used to play ramp now its turn 6 ramp and then hes at 10 mana. The problem is ramp in this game is a mechanic that doesnt work and never will. This isnt Dragons in Shadowverse where that class ramps as well but that game isnt busted like hearthstone..how long has hearthstone been around? Blizzard has no idea how to make anything aside from WoW and people are leaving that shite as well. HoTs failed wtf is that other game they gave away for free because it sucked...destiny. Overwatch is a fail..they are just milking the customer base. They are bankrupt on ideas and have serious coding problems if they cant figure out how to make tournament mode..shadowverse has that MTGA IN BETA HAS THAT. This company is just done. I give hearthstone until summer 2019 before its base is half of what it is now. They have no idea wtf they are doing and its hilarious to sit and read all the complaining about a game that is so simply fucked up its actually awful. This game would have failed if not for the WoW fanbase and overall player base that blizzard had when it launched the game. Wtf do they sink money into..warcraft remake.....LOLZ who is buying that shite...nobody. if they remade D2 nobody would buy that at this point. Go on Steam and buy so many good games for 5-10 bucks all day long. who needs a heavily marketed and overpriced rock like blizzard anymore. I'll say it to any of their employees or corporate people ..your company makes garbage wrapped in gold foil paper. They can nerf every card in the game and it still wouldnt matter. When you start with broken fucked up shit you end up with broken fucked up shit no matter how you rearrange the broken fucked up shit. Exploit the game like I do and laugh while you take a dump. Hearthstone is still good for that.
Well how exactly would you implement the changes? I mean, there are only two cards to target to fix the ramp issue but every other card in druid seems to give armor as a side effect. You'd either have to reduce the armor gain on all of them collectively or completely change what a few of them do to make the druids have less armor giving cards overall. I do find it weird though that druids are so much better at gaining armor than warriors...which....I thought was supposed to be one of their main things...
i have played at least enough games in standard format to complete the quest everyday and I have never even seen this card played yet ...such a great card though hey
If they didn't nerf Druid 5 months ago, now I would wait for the rotation, rather then break what's not broken (kill year 2013. basic card).
P.s. to shake the meta they should print better cards, not those sameish (kingsbane, togwaggle tutors, armor gain) that strenghthen current dull meta and then nerf something trivial to the issue.

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
I only skimmed the OP. Now Druid has the Glass House Elephant? The card is broken. Please nerf.
