Did the rest of us get dust refunds for all the control and/or otk/combo cards we crafted, just to get laughably crushed by wild Kingsbane Rogues? No? Then why should you get dust refunds for crafting cards for one deck that is affected by nerfs?
Btw, archtypes were only killed in standard. You can still run Kingsbane and Shudderwok in wild by either actually intentionally building survival tools for the rogue or substituting Doppelgangster for the more expensive wild-only version of Saronite Chaingang (gives same Shudder duplicating effect during the battlecry).
i would like to see rogue play same style as Gonk, the Raptor druid problem is the fact that you spent 5+ mana on taunt and rogue just play sap Name or Vanish to remove and then go face. these 2 cards are most annoying to lose to.
i think they should redisign these 2 cards + conceal.something like this:
sap : 3 mana, make an enemy minion dormant for 2 turns. your weapon loses 1 durability
conceal : 1 mana, echo give a minion stealth for 1 turn it cant attack heroes after
vanish : 2 mana give your hero stealth for 1 turn.
new cards ideas:
bribe : 7 mana take control of an enemy minion, give copy of this to your opponent
4 mana 4/5 : whenever your hero attacks a minion it also damages adjacent ones.
9 mana legendary: 5/7 when you attack and overkill a minion give your weapon attack equal to overkill amount.
smoke bomb: 3 mana give all minions 50 % chance to attack wrong character including friendly minions excluding your heroes.shuffle this into your deck.
5 mana crimson vial: rostore both heroes to full health, fully repair both weapons.
8 mana 4/5 neutral legendary: ignis, the furnace master: battlecry: equip copy of your opponent weapon with all enchants and full durability.
Ahm, I wanted to point out that I crafted my 1st competitive deck in less than 10 months of playing hs. Somewhere between 5 or 6 to be exact. So I dunno why you disproof the statement of the other user.
[edit] Oops, kinda forgot to add WotOG to this equation. Ok, so I built a competitive deck in 9-10 months (w/o benefiting from the "legendary in first 10 packs" feature).
Nerfs were the best ones blizzard has ever done, stop crying ffs just becouse your free farm cancer deck doesnt work anymore, the timing of the nerfs is perfect
I am glad the legendaries weren't touched. The longer degenerates go by with dust problems, the longer it will take the meta to devolve into the next shitshow.
Blizzard passed with flying colors on this one.
It sounds rough but truth sometimes does that. Since we got some problems out, let's now wait till April for spellstones to get out of the meta forever. then we will create new ones and will complain about those. Everyone on board?

Sorry to say (ok, not really sorry), but i totally agree. I think, after Kingsbane ruined control for half a year in wild, nerfing the common card is the best move. Players who played this degenerate deck already ruined the play of many players; and the more degenerate it became, the more player played it. We already saw how many players alone in the last few days crafted kingsbane?
And why wasn't control to get a dust refund for having an UNCOUNTERABLE deck? Sorry, but when you craft an total overpowered and degenerate deck, than you are supposed to know that it will bite you in the back.
To the self righteous people saying that people are getting what they deserve - why do you think that? Some people play to be as competitive as possible. Why would you not choose to use the best tools available? The problem with the "blame the player" mentality is that you over look the true issue - namely the imbalance of cards in the game and/or the lack of "fun" (a subjective notion anyway) created by these decks. People do use real money to buy/craft cards and it feels shitty to have your new stuff removed. Just because it doesn't currently affect you doesn't make it right.
TL/DR - Don't blame the players for using the tools that Blizzard provide.
In particular I think the nerf to Kingsbane is a little unfair given it's been around for a while now anyway and once again it's a new card that's been printed which has brought it back in to focus again (same thing happened with quest rogue). Now for clarity I hate playing against Kingbane rogue deck - not because it's ended up too powerful (there's always going to be a deck that's better than everything else) but because playing against it felt helpless and there was no "tech" counter aside from playing aggro and hoping you kill them before they kill you.
It's an interesting dilemma (how to keep OP decks in check) that I don't think Blizz quite knows how to solve. Take Jade Idol - endless bigger green men and immunity from fatigue - another problematic scenario that makes you feel helpless as a player. Instead of nerfing the problem card (Jade Idol) they created Skulking Geist - an epic which also ruined many different decks which weren't a problem to begin with (Evolve Shaman for one). The cynic in me see this as a cash grab - "want to be competitive? - you now need these two extra epics" - but perhaps this is a better way to address the issue of an overpowered combination (because lets face it - it's nearly always a combination of cards that is an issue rather than a single card (except UI)). Once the meta settles and everyone stops playing the "best deck" the need to include these tech cards reduces allowing those decks to come back in to the meta again. Maybe instead of the life steal nerf they should have printed a "silence and destroy a weapon" with the new set (for example) but that does rely on forecasting which decks will become oppressive.
This approach gives the players the choice in both directions -1) do I include the tech option or not and 2) Are too many people teching against my deck for it to be viable. I agree it's still frustrating to lose even when you put the tech card in your deck because you didn't draw it, but at least you feel like you have a chance.

Your conceal would allow rogues to bypass taunts, just saying.
Everyone says "Don't craft Right after an Expansion hits, wait until the meta has settled."
People who ignored this now are whining that they crafted "useless" cards.
I don't see how they are useless, Kingsbane still sees Play in Pirate Rogue, Droods will still use UI and their other power Cards (Spiteful Druid returning?) and Level Up! might just end up in new Even Pala Dude lists. Unless you crafted a complete Shudderwock Shaman from scratch in the last 2 days, I don't see why you complain.

I agree these nerfs were mandatory but I miss the hunter's dk nerf. But we're discussing about the dust refund policy, not about how good those nerfs are.

It's rotating soon, and no one cares about wild. It's meant to be "WILD"

So much this. You people never learn. Why should you get rewarded for impatience and stupidity due to lack of learning from the past when other decks have been nerfed semi-early on in the past?
Perhaps THIS TIME you'll learn not to immediately blow all of your dust on the first fotm deck before everything settles? Then again, probably not. ;)

Such a great response it's also valid for some of the current nerfs so it's inconsistent.

Are you talking about Rexxar or Zuljin?
Both of them are legendaries, so nerfing them, and then giving people a refund for them, especially for Rexxar, who is on his way out anyways, would give people more dust then Blizzards wants to hand out, it seems.
So, there you go: your question still has a strong connection to the dust refund policy, which is being discussed here.

I'm blown away the OP has any upvotes. All of you who clicked the up arrow are whiny little brats.

BOOOO HOOooo. reading these sore loser salt posts makes the nerfs even better and more enjoyable for me.

As for the topic, Blizz obviously did this on purpose to minimize dust refunds, nerfing decks without nerfing actually busted cards.
As for the thread, so many people are gloating here about other people's misery, it's absolutely disgusting.
Oh boo,i can't win anymore without my Kingsbane...O h boo..
