I picked the paladin shrine that says "whenever you take damage, your opponent takes 5"
Warrior was final boss. Not remotely close.
I picked that one too. Got the "Start with an extra shrine" upgrade and ran over the 7th and 8th bosses incredibly easily. Also had the champion that gave me a consistent truesilver on turn 3 regardless of whether I had a good mulligan or not. Absolutely broken.
Blizzard actually managed the Rumble Run to feel like a bad Tavern Brawl:
Grab the prize and never touch it again.
It's really a shame how they just increased the rng-factor (Dungeon Run > Monster Hunt > this) by basically adding no new content. That's at least how I feel. DR was fairly balanced, MH already had some weird OP bosses. But RR is just out of control. Some matchups are instant concedes, even vs the 2nd or 3rd boss.
I really enjoy playing Dungeon Run. When a quest pops up, I gladly play some games. Witchwood...well, yeah, if I have too.
But I don't think i will ever play Rumble Run voluntarily again after grabbing the card back.
It is fun but man oh man sometimes you are toast. Faced the shaman with the triple battlecry effect on match 7. Turn 2 Keleseth followed by a Mistweaver.
It was all fun and games until War Master Voon dropped that 8 minion who killed my entire board and got 2 armor for each kill..., had lethal next turn...
Actually, after trying an hour of it, this mode is not fun. Like the others said, it is made hard on purpose and luck-dependent. You will get screwed around the 4th, if not the 5th, champion you are facing. It's good that the cardback can be obtained with one playthrough cos I am not playing this again. It is not as fun as Witchwood or Kobolds runs.
Especially when you face Captain Hooktusk, her Shrine will just destroy your deck. Plus, her Shrine seems to have a weird glitch. If I am playing Rogue and got her Shrine as mine, after 3 turns of reviving, it does not steal a card from the opponent deck the moment it is revived but it does for her though. This is very weird and had anyone else experienced this?
Overall, this Run is made hard and luck-dependent to increase gameplay time. It can actually be done in an hour or less if it was not so luck-based and there is little to no point of deck building unlike the other Runs from the other expansion.

I feel like this is much worse than DR. The new totems just feel like a worse passive treasure but are a lot more rng dependent. Some classes feel too strong and have too much health. Honestly kind of disappointed that it's basically DR and MH reskinned and with more rng.
Just cleared it with the Mage hero power shrine - feels very very strong, especially with the minion that increases its damage permanently by 1 (and is always drawn at the start).
My problem is definitely the lack of replayability. I enjoyed it plenty, but my incentive to go back and keep playing it isn't there like it was with DR and MH.
I dunno, it feels really samey. I only went through two runs, one with the paladin shrine where it deals 5 damage whenever you take damage, and the mage shrine that refreshes your hero power. Both decks were very pre-made and efficient, but the paladin one just got dumpstered by a lucky AI priest.
The mage version was just like autopilot for the first 4 or 5 bosses. Dalaran aspirant on turn 4 into board clear and the next turn fireball face for like 14 damage. It's just dumb how arbitrarily easy or difficult these fights are. Not impressed
Played a few runs and so far very disappointed. I think because you get the card back beating it once they tuned it too hard and too RNG.
i love the single player content and still play it on occasion even though I’ve beaten it all many times. This one I don’t plan to play again.so frustrating on the last few bosses because they all have some insane combo that unless you have the exact right answer you lose. Too many steamroll opportunities for the bosses.
Bah, such an opportunity, seems like it is wasted.
I'm really glad to learn you only need to clear it with one class to get the card back.
I don't understand the masochists who love Dungeon Run and its bizarrely overtuned reliance on RNG for the last two bosses and what treasures you managed to get.
Dungeon Run RNG fiesta is infuriating, not even Ranked meta causes this to me.
despite RNG and some unfair boss plays what bothers me the most is that they basically just do reskins of monster hunt now every time...
i mean come on in the old adventures many bosses had their own mechanics etc. dungeon run and monster hunt were kinda newish. this is just a lazy reskin now. very disappointed
This thread confirms my suspicions.......Europeans ruin everything with their whining
Jesus dude, talk about generalization. Are you really that stupid to believe that all people in an entire continent are whiny just because you read like 15 forum posts from people who aren't necessarily European anyway?
Now about the Rumble Run. I've only been able to play two and a half runs, but so far everyone saying it's way too highrolly and rng dependent seems to be right. In my second run Loti (as the fourth or fifth boss I think) played that rush beast that summons a beast with the highest attack from your deck, it summoned Tyrantus and she played Menagerie Warden on it the turn after. RIP first run. In my second run I faced Zentimo with triple battlecries as the fifth boss. Was completely powerless to do anything because of keleseth on turn two. I don't know why they make you face a card that everyone hates already and triple its effect so that it becomes even more of a highroll (assuming he doesn't always have it in his opening hand). I do think a lot of the shrine effects are cool though and I am looking forward to atleast trying them all out.
Edit: I forgot to say that I also agree with the OP about the flavor, emote spamming the bosses hasn't been this fun in a while.

Nope.
Mage is pretty OP. Jan'alai's Flame is too powerful for 8 health
Greetings, traveler.
Let's make Hunter great.

They didn’t add quest for it either like the others.

Hey. =)
The gameplay is great. It's just that compared to other adventures, its very little
*cluck*

Boomsday lab is really great, on the other hand.
For some reason, I've had zero desire to play this mode. Got halfway through one run, then just conceded 'cause I didn't feel like finishing it.
If it were possible to play this offline, then I'd be very excited, but for now I'd rather play constructed.
I love the stealing shrine. Had 2 for the last boss and just stole his entire deck when I had still 14 cards in deck

To me, it feels too hard. I have not struggled as much with any of the other PVE. Some bosses just feel unwinnable.
