BEFORE a new exp comes out Blizzard usually updates the deck recipes. So what happens with Whizbang the Wonderful ? Can you not play the "card" until the exp comes out? Or you can but it still uses the old recipes dispite the fact that they no longer available?
Edit: Just to be clear Imo theres no freakin way that you'll be able to play the new cards with Whizbang the Wonderful before the exp is out. (not everyone got it)
I wouldn't be too surprised if that's a way to play new cards early. We've seen instances in the past of new cards getting played before the expansion. Two examples immediately spring to mind: during Naxxramus Webspinner was generating random beasts that had not been released yet, GVG was made available in arena the weekend before release.
That said, those are extremely old examples and one of them was probably a mistake/bug. But I can't imagine this was something Blizzard did not see coming. They've got a plan for Whizbang. We won't know what that plan is until we watch it unfold.
Definitelynotsalty is probably right that he won't use new recipes until release, but it would be sweet if you could get a preview of the new cards through Whizbang prior to release. It would be lame if he became unusable for a short time.
Side story: I was playing the Tavern Brawl at the time of the Frozen Throne release last year. I don't remember exactly what it was, but I remember getting a random minion on board and it was Val'kyr Soulclaimer. Literally right as they released it! Remember my opponent hovered over it for a while because we were both like "OH CRAP!!! New card!!!"
That was the first, and likely last time anyone was excited to see this minion...
I highly doubt that you will get to use new cards before the expansion fully drops. That gives you an unfair advantage, and at that point, Blizzard might as well release the expansion that day itself. So, maybe Whizbang will be unusable for those 3 days, and then he will be usable after the expansion drops, and you can use the new recipies.

Whizbang will continue to use old deck recipes up to the moment the expansion is released.

Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.

1 question. I assume on wild it works in the same way, so after it rotates it'll be almost useless?
