Hunter has gotten some crazy strong spells this xpac. I have a feeling they are going to be the oppressive class everyone hates. They have 3 mana draw 3 beasts, 2 mana kelthuzad for 1 turn. 1 mana +1/+1 windfury/rush (random target though)
Then a 10 mana "lets do it all again" card(hero power sucks though, at least compared to guldan). The draw doesn't even fatigue them since it is a version of discover. They have gotten some amazing value/tempo cards this xpac. The only bad card so far is the 5 mana "baited arrow" spell. And some decent neutral beast synergy cards.
Hopefully i'm wrong and we won't have to welcome our new hunter overlords.
I really think Zuljin is nuts with spell hunter, use subject 9 as well and boom, you got a green christmas tree. As well as the potential of a bunch of huffers that goes face. Now that’s a big oof.
There will always be one class that seems to dominate ladder. It's a part of the game, I think. It's been Druid for the past two or so expansions. It was Cubelock for a while before that. Shaman and Warrior Aggro decks before that. Undertaker seems like so long ago now, and Hunter has been biting the bullet ever since with getting on average sub par cards. Until now Hunter hasn't been anything higher than like mid tier two or high tier three.
I think it's about time Hunter got some love. And if I end up playing against a bunch of Hunters this season, then good for me, I've played so much of the class that I'm pretty accustomed, and know how to play against them well. I actually enjoy Hunter vs Hunter games, it's the control games I always wanted to play but never could.
Basically what I'm saying is, you may be right. Hunter may become dominant again. But I don't think it's worth being mad about. There's always gonna be a "Druidstone" "Shamanstone", and if it turns out to be "Hunterstone" at least with the cards we're getting it doesn't look like it will be aggro.
no class can play ten drops on turn five, except druid
no class can gain 35 life with one card, except druid
no class can armor like druid, even warrior
no class can OTK like druid.
no class can ever be as oppressive
besides, the cards you mentioned don’t really compare.
Revenge of The wild is vastly differnt than KT, KT does it
1. Every turn
2. For all minions, not just beasts
3. Has a body
and Master’s Call only draws 3 if you hit 3 beasts, most hunter decks won’t hit that too often (maybe midrange).
Just for the sake of the argument:
1, Aggro shaman (back in the tunnel trogg days and before the nerf on Tuskarr totemic and Rockbiter) and Pirate warrior (when HE was in Chaaaarrrrge) - just to name a couple
2. Bright-Eyed Scout is a neutral, so theoretically every class can play a 10mana card on turn 5.
3. Amara, Warden of Hope can heal you up to 39 actually. And I am not going to say anything about Mossy Horror or Void Ripper or the state of the board to enable you to summon 7 1/5's out of single spreading plague.
4. I think you are right, that on a single turn druid is able to gain more armor than any other class, but that's it - warrior is still the armor champion when we talk about long control games.
5. I don't know what you mean by "OTK like druid", but as a combo priest I have made 96/96 Ysera's, I was able to OTK an opponent pimping a lousy novice engineer (not from 30hp ofc) or was able to OTK him on turn 4 since he couldn't do anything before that (bad draw/mulligan I guess) on my radiant elemental.
6. You can't tell the future, so that's a stupid thing to say, that no class can ever be oppressive as druid.
Please man, get your facts straight, before going to hate on something.
On the topic:
Hunter will get stronger, yes, but same as the druid - it won't be on top for too long, simply because smart people and deck builders will start teching against it or other decks will be simply even more OP than hunter. But I can totally understand Team 5 for pushing hunter - once DK Rexxar rotates out, hunter will lose so much power and become yet again 1-trick pony (read: go face and try to win by turn 5 or concede). So, all in all I am happy that they are trying to push different versions of hunter :).
And I am not even a hunter player :p

not sure about hunter being the new druid... but what i dooo know is that is that rogue will be the old priest, they serious want rogue written out the game, no fighting chance
and a full board of 3-3 with spell stones...i do think rexxar is just better though. it provides a chance for lifesteal minions every turn. this is just like one turn burst. so i wouldn't jump the gun on it.
Yes, they recurved some very nice stuff. However a lot of it I think people are overestimating. On top of that they will lose a huge amount of power on the next rotation. If they are King, the reign will be short.
I assume what you really mean is that by mid-expansion it'll be one of the three least played classes, and by this time during the RR life cycle it'll be the least played class? Right?!

They already are the new druid, haven’t you noticed that when you face them 90% of your games on ladder?

I'm ok with that.
I wish this weren't an exaggeration. My climb to Legend this month would have been a lot quicker! Hunter is more counter-able than Druid.
At least its not SMORc hunter, I hope...
Spell hunter will be a huge problem.

Hearthstone needs more birds
what about odd warrior?
Okay okay, I'll show myself out.

Find something to counter it, then.

have you seen the other cards?
Hunter gets some decent cards and suddenly everyone thinks it will be OP, lol
