Actually, I am pretty sure that having full standard collection is pretty easy for a F2P player if he dusts cards when they rotate out. Wild is the place where you do need money to have many decks.
I stroooooognly disagree with this. Having a decent number of wild decks is leaps and bounds cheaper than maintaining a standard collection. Now, there are downsides to that, like having to deal with a LOT of wild-only garbage and annoying problems, but it's for sure cheaper and has its own perks.

If your goal is to craft several high tier wild decks and maintain them as new expansions come out, then this is very doable as F2P, too. I am talking more about having a large collection with meme decks and stuff.

Dusting cards that rotate out only gives you back 25% of the dust value. Unless you're very good at arena and play lots of it, I don't think F2P allows you to collect enough gold to get the other 75% of the cards (in dust value). I usually got about 70 packs worth of gold saved up before an expansion, but this time I got a bit more, since there were a lot of events that rewarded high amounts of gold. And while that may be enough to get the important cards, it is nowhere near a full collection.
I have my alt account for a few months, not more than 6.Currently i have more than 40 legendaries. Most of them farming arena,if you know what you are doing, then you are in a good spot.
Hearthstone is not P2W, is pay to have fun or farm a lot to have fun. I've fun playing different decks and strategies, I get bored prety quickly of playing the same deck -there're allways exceptions-.
I just pay when there're decent bundles like the Witchwood one where they doubled the packs for the money or the get 10 packs + 1 dragon legendary for 5 bucks and I don't regret.
The problem is after some months when the meta stalls and you get bored to play the same decks and play against the same decks.
Hi folks, this is my first post in hearthpwn and this is my F2P answer for all players who speaking about HS is not F2P. This is my solution. I'm been playing HS since NAXX and now i created a new F2P account like 3 weeks ago. Now I have a golden Wizzbang for fun and simple odd paladin (without Crippers and Level Up) for climbing the ladder. Now I'm in 13 rank and still go on. Don't waste you money on HS just enjoy F2P ultimate experience.
I'm not english native speaker, sorry for mistakes.

What if i want to buy some bundle?
Then you've really only got two choices.
Either you; 1) Don't buy the bundle and keep living a riskfree life. Or, 2) Buy the bundle and risk having your legs chopped off in case the government ever finds out. You know the government has a zero-tolerance policy in regards to buying digital stuff. But then again, do you really need your legs?
Well, there's a streamer in the spanish community (Feelink) who started a brand new F2P account and achieved legend after 5 days playing a budget zoo deck. So there's no need to climb the ladder playing Whizbang, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO CLIMB you can check de existing decks and find out to replace legendaries.
Im a f2p player only Got 50 packs once in my 4 years od hearthstone at old gods I think. I create any card I want as I mainly play arena and I am good in it. Arena is better for New players then ladder as there is no rewards there
Hear hear. My son who plays more than I (uni student) already had after a couple of months of playing on the 2 other serversas f2p other than his main has achieved concurrently legend on all 3 servers. On the other 2 he has been dusting all except the cards he needed. As a result has on one of these servers already 3 teir one decks.
For legend success as F2P I think it comes down to ability, time and to a big degree how hard you go crafting high teir decks dusting all other cards.
It's tough at first, but once you've grown up a bit, f2p is more than doable. One just need wise collection planning.
Ofc, if you want a complete collection, you must be ready to put a large amount of time and effort in the game.
If you are regular but lazy, like me, you can still keep up with a bunch of consistently complete classes, provided you disenchant at least a couple of the others.
I usually am not active in this community, but to all those who complain about Pay to win:
I reached Legend for the first time this month. Been actively playing for about half a year, extremely rarely have dust ed cards (I even still have a golden Splintergraft). I have never spent any money on this game. I don't put that large of a time investment in.
It's quite easy to reach top ranks in this game F2P. If someone wanted, I bet they could even have a full collection by putting in a large time investment on going infinite in arena. I usually get at least 5 wins on each arena, meaning my gold constantly goes up preparing for future expansions
took me 1 day. Idk what youre talking about

HS is not F2P if you want to experiment, but as long as odd paladin, rogue, and zoo warlock have favorable WR F2P is still extremely viable.
I'll call absolute BS on that mate especially if you are still trying to keep cards to make Zoo & Odd Pally decks.

Ironic. It could recycle others, but not itself.

Well, you can't really expect other than BS from people if you're BS'ing yourself, can you?

3 packs for every five ranks? Its some one time reward for new players or what?

So you're saying it's possible for a new player to get 3200 dust within 24 hours without spending any money?

whizbang would be superb fun if allowed to pick class/deck etc
Yep, for the 50-25 grind.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
