I will go with the always hated but always reliable odds of being a card with "Add a random Overkill card to your hand"
With that we can imagine a card that give +X/+X to a minion with overkill in your hand. Since overkill is based on attack, i guess we will a buff for a overkill minion.
Over-stated Overkill minion with a negative overkill. Like Overkill: Deal 2 damage to this minion or Overkill: Destroy this minion
Negative overkill can be cool but i dont think its in the spirit of troll using more power than needed to kill an opponent for the show. Plus, this minion would only go face without trying to kill anyone :/
This would be NUTS. Would have to be a legendary? Minion could become very hard to remove if true. I'd love it, but at the same time... wowza.
Would depend on how much attack the minion had! With 2/x it could only kill y/1 minions to keep the shield and it could be killed by eg. two x/3 minions. Not to strong imo.
Was disappointed that Overkill was so similar to Trample, but wasn't exactly like Trample. Now we'll probably never get Trample because it would be too similar to Overkill... :/

Lets do a list of overkill that could be real on the new set.
For exemple, I'm pretty sure a minion will have Overkill: Draw a card.
Probably a big minion that seems angry with Overkill: Deal 2 damage to the enemy hero.
What else can we get?

Kinda like trample in MtG.

Overkill: restore this minion to full health.
1) Overkill: gain life equal to the overkill damage
2) Overkill: gain +1/+1
3) Overkill: summon a random minion with cost equal to the overkill damage.
