Actually without all these dumb fanboys and these events that bring a lot of money i don't think hs would be in a good position. Still no tournament mode, expansions worse and worse, more rng, ladder even more difficult to climb than before, druid is still a joke class with only overpowered cards.. Yep hs is really bored but with all these kids who suck blizzard because this game is their only reason to live i don't think it's going to change. 1/4 of my friend list doesn't play anymore at all and the last guy who got legend for the first time is disconnected for at least 3 weeks, which shows well the state of this game after all.. Can't wait to leave this crap game, probably the best idea i could have
Just because someone doesn’t agree with your opinion doesn’t automatically make them a fanboy. I play the game because I find it fun, not because I’m some fanboy. If it stopped being fun, I’d play something else like magic.
A big part of what makes the game a lot more fun is not stressing out over being competitive. The moment I stopped worrying about ranks and all the game became fun again. A game is supposed to be enjoyable, if you treat it like a chore, that’s what it’ll feel like.
Also OP, people always say the game is dying. Every time they say it they’re proven wrong when the game continues being the biggest online card game. I kind of doubt that’s gonna change any time soon.
When you see the new expansion, you'll cry. When you see the resulting meta, you'll cry again. There's always the Metroid secret worlds - several times the size of the actual game, implemented with a single line of code, hell a single opcode.

You like Hearthstone or not, the game is dying because expansion are expensive in gold and dust. There is no more cheap adventure, only big pull of cards and now 2 legendary.
So yes if you play a lot or play a bit less and preorder each expansion you can follow the move.
But most of player are between rank 25 and 15 and can at best play tier 1 aggro deck like zoo. Or disenchant other class card for a more expansive deck.
So yes the game will die, when people will be bored to stuck rank 20/15 OR have to play only 1/2 class in order to have competitive deck If you are new player you will need a new year for having only 4 expansion, the new one and the 3 older. (in standar.) So if you want to be able to play with something else than classic cards you will need at least to buy 60 pack of each extension so 60x4=240 packs to buy. Nice "free 2 play"
Casual player are 90/95% hearthstone's players and all together they are the real income of Blizzard. So yes, if casual player leaves the game because it's more expensive in dust and moreover extension are boring. The game will die.
I think in 2 years HS will really start to die, but don't worry. Blizzard like money, and they will do a Hearthstone 2 for a fresh and "balanced" start for everyone.
So, I apologize to the folks who have read my diatribe on this before, but when the phrases "game is dying" and "my opinion" are combined, it always get me going.
Whether or not a game is dying can be quantified in several ways. The most notable two are "number of unique players" and "amount of money generated". Which one you want to use to define "dying" is not an opinion, it's a choice. Whether or not either of these things is happening to Hearthstone is not an opinion, it is a fact or falsehood.
I don't know how many unique users are playing the game, so I cannot definitively say whether it is a fact or falsehood, but a fact I don't know that I assume is not an opinion, it's a guess.
I do know that Witchwood and Boomsday are the most successful expansions in the history of the game when defining success as "money made". That is not an opinion, it's a publicly-disclosed fact.
So, in conclusion, all available evidence suggests Hearthstone is at its most successful ever. That is not an opinion. At best you could guess that one marker is not favorable, but again, that is falsifiable.
In addition, I would guess (do I need to say "not an opinion" again?) that this meta allows success with the largest variety of decks in the history of the game. I do not know whether that is a fact, but appropriate data I don't feel like tracking down could prove or disprove.
Do not use "opinion" to mask lack of information. Hearthstone is doing just fine. It will be interesting to see if MtG:A and Artifact have a marked effect on the next year. My GUESS is they will not. I've watched countless pretenders as they approached release be called "the next (insert Blizzard game here)". Hasn't happened yet. In case the point hasn't been beaten home enough, that is a GUESS based on a TREND, not an . . . well, you get the idea.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
It's like saying "TF2 is dying/dead". There's no measurement to it, and by most monetary values, it's msot definitely not dead. There's still a massive player base, there is still an active community, there are still updates, Valve still makes money off it (hence no TF3 or HL3), and there are still lots of TF2 youtube channels out there. The biggest issue with these threads is that people either say "no lul u mom gay" or they compose an argument that just utterly destroys OP's post. There's nothing wrong with someone expressing their views on the game, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with them suggesting how they would make the game better. What IS wrong is people blatantly being aggressive and spamming hate, saying shit like "you shouldn't like the game because Team 5 is stupid dfibuaiusb". That's just being outright disrespectful.
I just heard about MTGA and came to forum to check comparisons and I saw those topics. I also quit the game two weeks ago because it became a burden a task I don't like to do each day. But I don't think that game is dying at all.
