Sure, I can spam aggro on ladder and beat them 100% of the time but I prefer control decks, especially some of the control decks that are around right now but, they stand 0 chance against Shudderwock. The infinite clears and cheesy Reno combo with Electra and Healing Rain, it's so boring and sad to play against. Does nobody else feel the same way? I feel as though I'm locked into playing more aggressive decks because of this single counter which.. I always seem to meet when I switch to control..
Time to join the rest of the braindeads and spam Zoo Lock I guess.
What control deck are you playing? Control warlock has his projects and gnomes, control warrior has his own good battlecries and azalina. It should be quite hard if you're playing odd warrior with no quest, but well, if you're playing this it's only your decision to auto-lose to combo decks and not a shudderwock fault.
Shudderwock shaman decks are not doing well atm. They have plenty of bad matchups: Big spell mage, control priest, mechathun decks, even warlock, most druid decks...
Why are so many control players so grumpy about losing to combo decks? It is actually supposed to be like that: Aggro>Combo>Control>Aggro
Of the 259 games I played this season I faced 18 shamans and 7 of these were Shudderwocks. And I beat 5 of them with Control priest. I am not sure if there is an actual issue to talk about, lol.

Aggro vs control is 50-50....you need PERFECT draw to win vs aggro nowdays....(should be 35-65)
Control vs combo/otk/mill is 10-90
Combo vs aggro is 35-65 (most balanced match up at the moment)
Yep combo should win vs control but again control COULD HAVE at least 30-35% chance to win... (ALL classes not just warlock)
That what you said are polarized matchups and everyone say its bad....xD it should never be autowin matches....but again its hard to achive that...thats the problem :/
I don't see many Shudderwocks, but I agree that standard BADLY needs a neutral anti-combo tech card. There's no worse feeling than knowing it's impossible to win a game no matter what you do.

You pulled a lot of numbers out of a hat there!
Can you guess the worst matchup of Odd Rogue (aggro in this meta)? Odd warrior, and it is a ~75-25 matchup, which is awful by Hearthstone standards. It is even slightly worse than Odd warrior vs Shudderwock shaman;-)

Is BSM doing well against shudderwock?
Wondering the same. BSM is a heavy control deck by default. W/o any techs (except maybe lucky outcomes from The Lich King) the mage player can't stop the Shudder combo. The only way of winning against them I can think of is rushing them down (with e.g. the 9 mana legendary), but setting up Dragoncaller Alanna takes so much time that the shaman can most likely find the combo pieces by that time.

It does well vs the midrange version. I will check pure combo later.
Shudderwock is a terrible card, completely ruins one's experience of the game (not due to losing, due to the animation) and should never have been printed. In my opinion they were trying to capture some of those Yogg shenanigans when he rotated out of standard which led to both Shudder and Tess but they failed miserably.
I don’t play shudderwock but I wish people would shut the fuck up about it. Seriously? The animation is why it shouldn’t have been printed. Brain dead. This isn’t an interesting topic to discuss. Seriously, shut the fuck up already.
I thought they fixed the animation issue... I haven't seen it played in so long, I don't even remember. What rank are people seeing it at often enough for it to be an actual issue?

Aggro can win sometimes vs control, is not a 90/10 match, hard match 70/30 are ok, if a tech like Dirty Rat exists the match still very hard for the control player but have a chance, that is make the control players so grumpy.
Just release a tech card to improve the chance in this kind of match and problem solved, leave all this combo decks uncheck (except for warlock) force many people to play fast/aggro/tempo decks because you have a chance to win vs anything (except maybe control warrior).

Odd warrior and Azalina
Need to agree. Had a 20+ minutes game against a Shudderwock Shaman, but i know from start: I not gonna win this one.
Playing against combo decks without any possible tech is depressing.

what? Shudderwock is one of the last things that make this game fun for me...

Eh, Shudderwock in Wild has a tough time now. Aggro is pretty aggresive now and puts a lot of pressure and Druid outraces them by a mile.
combo shudderwock isn't even that popular.
Try facing a jade shudderwock shaman with evolves devolves. Alt f4
