I do not use emotes at all, and i use the auto squelch feature in hsdecktracker.
I know it's stupid but i do burn easy and this is the way i find easier to keep playing.
BM'ing is an excellent exercise in the human experience - you are denying yourself something important in both not engaging in it and not receiving it yourself.
There is no greater pleasure than to have an opponent BM you from the onset while you meekly reply, "My Thanks" until the point that you disrupt their win condition, drop an "Oops" then beat them silly and BM them back; conversely, there is no greater humbling experience than to be so confident in your skills, only to be shown that you still have much to learn, with the opponent's BM being the cherry on top of the humble pie - life is far too short to deny yourself these experiences, you are truly missing out when you should savor them instead.

I have been playing from around march or april of 2015 and believe me i experienced all that! Even the most common, oponent emoting all game when he had all the anserws or top decking everything he needed, only for me to win in the end. I truly see your point, but at this point i just don't have the patience for all that.
A match between two players constantly spamming emotes like crazy is one of the funniest things about this game. Those who squelch their opponents sadly are not aware of all the fun they are missing... :(
As card design is meant to debase people to repulsive rodents, emotes are there as a celebration to that effect. Existence of emotes in signify Blizzards contempt for is users.

Oh, c'mon Hooghout, emotes are fun as hell. Don't be a killjoy. :(

I'd rather have fun with a higher skill floor, more diverse decks, more difficult win conditions, less steep RPS and more classes having viable decks. But because earnings are good, which invokes laziness, T5 settles for emotes as 'fun.' Sorry ruining your interpretation of fun.
1. Sometimes I rope my opponent cause I’m answering one of my friends at the moment. There’s no BM intention, it’s just slow on the phone.
2. Sometimes I don’t realize I can already kill my opponent, so I start killing his minions by accident. There is no childish “show all my superiority before the final move” in that.
I think many players I meet have the same problem, there is no BM in that. No reason to pay them back.

I fully agree that a higher skill flor, more diverse decks, more difficult win conditions, less step RPS and more classes having viable decks would add a ton of fun to this game. Also, emotes are obviously not enough, even when they are fun as hell as I already said (although this game at its current state would be terrible without them ;)). But, why do you have to be so mean with me all the time, Hooghout? You... you just literally broke my heart this time!!!
when my opponent ropes the first 3 turns, and you see him hovering his cards that he wants to play that turn it is ON. I start to rope till the end of the game, at which point he realize he must not rope anymore (always works) and when victory is there, BM the shayt out of them, then send a friend request and hit them with a few more punches.
if you suffered from this, yes its me, thanks for your tears.

The only time i use emotes is when new hero is out and i'd like to know what emotes he have. Also i came to automaticaly click squelch at the start of the game. Because of it i do this in other games when i see hero portrait even if the game doesnt have similar thing. For years of playing hearthstone its not even crossed my mind to use emotes. Unless my opponent plays the deck i like (and there is maybe 5) i hate him with all my heart, so i'm not just trying to be nice. I just never thought of it
I had a full board,he had no cards in hand and he was deeper in fatigue,i never roped nor emoted, the Plan was to let him slowly Wither and die through fatigue while i Just put taunts on the board and healed,he conceded a couple of turns later

I BM against stupid decks that are designed to do nothing but stall
Hearthstone: Main Oil Rogue
WoW: Main: Sub Rogue
It's amazing that people spam emotes as if people dont squelch them after the 2nd or 3rd time.
Fun > Meta
I thoroughly enjoy screaming, "IMPRESSIVE!" at every single card my opponent plays (yes, through the entire match as much as I am able)

Only when they say "GREETINGS" with a godlike opener and i win after all.

People who think that players who begin matches with a greeting are being arrogant towards them need to really shine the mirror back on themselves.
It often is just being polite (shocking!)
Exactly this. The people that think saying 'Hi' is rude and arrogant have a seriously skewed perception of the world.
4/3/19 RIP Keith Flint. 😔

The game was odd quest Warrior vs aggro rogue
Does this count as BM?
If they BM me the whole game and I end up winning I'll toss them a thank you.
