ITT: People realizing that Hearthstone doesn't take itself too seriously when the game has been that way since launch.
That is became very clear when they indefinitely postponed the most important new gameplay addition for years: tournament mode. Yes, it's a f***ing joke.
In all honesty thinking about it now, I don't think there ever was a tournament mode in the pipeline like they said, they just said it to keep the community happy for a few months thinking it was coming. lol
This is my thought process as well. I would bet money that this shit never made it off the paper the interns they hired scribbled on. It was all to placate the audience while they were the big fish in town. Now that Artifact is coming with a dedicated tournament scene in their game, Blizzard's hand was forced and they shut down the idea before Hearthstone players started asking questions.
It's been about five years now. Either Team 5 is one of the most incompetent and poorly managed teams in gaming history or this theory holds a bit more truth than some would like to admit. It doesn't really matter though because anyway you slice it, it is bad.
On a side note, if Artifact's tournament client is even remotely successful, I wouldn't be surprised to see Blizzard copy it down to the T and add a few bells and whistles to it.
I would kindly ask you to start a new thread, if you want to discuss Tournament Mode or find one of many that already do that. Do not derail discussion in this one from the OP. That goes for everyone, thanks.
I'm fine with it. Like all skins this one is purely cosmetic, Blizzard can add as many as they want. I probably won't buy it, unless the package deal is really good. But then I would buy it for the cards, not the skin, like I did with Mechajaraxxus.
Whatever, you will all buy it. You need dust to hit the ground running for the next expansion, so WW vs. TBP doesn't matter. It would be cool if they introduced 'wild' packs as part of the promo. I think a wild pack should have more commons (like 8 cards total) than the traditional packs though.

Yes, MJ was a nice free hero as a bonus to a great deal for packs, but WW packs have lost their value, as most of us will have already crafted any competitive or fun card we were missing. I am not about to drop 20 euros on packs containing 4 epics I crafted recently.
Why not also an option with TBD packs? I would have at least considered that.
I don't think that players with almost complete collections are the main target audience here, except for completionist collectors who want every card back, every skin, every cosmetic. But for more casual players, which I assume are the bulk of the player base (which is not necessarily represented by the HearthPwn users) and who don't usually spent money on cards other than a preorder here and there this might be a temptation. Cheap(-ish) packs plus a skin might be incentive enough to persuade at least some to increase their spending on the game. And unlike KFT WW cards stay in standard for 18 more month.
At long last, the children's card game reveals its true form!
Legend with : S65 Freeze Mage, S57 Maly Gonk Druid, S57 "Okay" Shaman, S53 Boom-zooka Hunter, S53 Maly Tog Druid, S52 Wild Tog Druid ft.Blingtron, S50 Quest Rogue, S49 Dead Man's Warrior, S41 Wild Clown Fiesta Druid, S41 Hadronox Jade Druid, S40 Wild OTK Dragon Druid, S35 SMOrc Shaman, S33 Jade Druid, S22 Control Priest, S19 Control Priest
Is it definitely going to be with 20 WW packs? It might be part of the blizzcon virtual ticket loot?
Everyone going to be playing Odd Paladin with Giggling Inventor and Emote spam and rope before they Lethal you with Level Up!
I thought malfurion was sir annoyo
I Bought All The Funnel Cakes
Holy light!
This is what happens when the darkness offers better cookies and the light ends up sorely in need of new recruits to fight for justice.
Personally Im happy they decided to add him.
Greetings Emote: "HEEEEELLOOOOOO!!!!!!"

I personally find it too stupid, although his emotes are going to be... let's say fun.
However, I think Paladin doesn't need more heroes right now, as it already has 3.
they could have done so many heroes.. they can even add a hero every week and sell those skins like no tomorrow but instead.. they are doing these..
i really dont get it. why everything has to be dumbed down nowadays?
I consider myself a collector, but I'm going to pass on this. The obvious cash-grab attempt behind this is too infuriating.

Obviously, this hero is meant to be ridiculous (and annoying): it is an ironic hero.
You may or may not like it, but it is fitting with the spirit of HS, and i am sure many players will use it.
Personally, i prefer more serious heroes, and cards too (but irony on arts and captions are very welcome).
I don't mind it being purchasable (even more so because i don't care for it).
Another $80 shitty skin
One day this game will stop existing. I can't wait.
WTF is wrong with people ? why so much hate ? He is so cuteeee. lol

I doubt it will be $80
No way, if it was blizzcon loot they would have said it straight away.
