So I recently broke into rank 10 so I was thinking of a new deck to play to rank 5. I decided to try my luck with the new Burn Mage.
Go to deck creator, notice that I don't have a second copy of Cinderstorm for my deck. I only owned a single golden copy of it.
Without thinking twice, and without any prompt to tell me otherwise, I accidentally dropped 800 dust on a second copy of Cinderstorm. I am now at 500 dust, whereas before I was at 1300, which was only 300 dust off from my next legendary or epic craft.
Needless to say, I am extremely upset. I didn't assume that clicking on my single golden copy of Cinderstorm would prompt a golden craft. Wish they had given me some prompt about whether or not I'm sure I wanted to drop that much dust.
Can't someone vent without anybody feeling like they're obligated to fix it? I didn't ask for or expect any advice, sympathy, solutions, nor did I curse Blizzard. I didn't write the post with any underlying intent or response in mind, other than to let people know what I just did. I acknowledged in the title that it was a mistake on my part which very clearly claims responsibility. This is the type of pessimism Hearthpwn needs to be rid of and I don't understand why it's so difficult to simply be nice.
I'd have sympathy, but you're trying to play burn mage so I'd say in a cosmic sense you got what you deserved.
I only considered Burn Mage because I'm F2P, it's cheap, I own Aluneth, and the only other decks I can really play are Miracle Rogue and a Keleseth-less Zoolock. Control is too expensive for me, unfortunately. Besides, Burn Mage is Tier 2 at best in this meta, so it shouldn't even be a candidate for cancer deck of the meta.

The fact is nobody really cares, this forum is flooded with people whining about absolutely every card, as long as they lost to that card, or people writing their lives like you. If you are in need of friends to who you can explain your mistake, this forum is not the good place.
Made a similar mistake today. I wanted to use Harbinger Celestia in a deck and I remembered a deck that was posted by a hearthpwn user which also contains two copies of Treachery and an Unlicensed Apothecary. Sadly I only owned one treachery and no apothecary so went ahead and crafted them but I thought the deck required you to have two apothecaries instead of one. I realized this too late so I accidentally crafted an additional apothecary which I'm most likely never going to use, not to mention I was already apprehensive about having to craft these cards since they're really shitty cards. Your situation sucks much more though, I think Blizzard should implement a feature where you can disenchant a crafted card for full dust value as long as you don't use the card, or atleast until you leave the collection manager. For now I'm afraid we'll just have to live with our own stupidity...

Like I said, I wrote the post expecting nothing more than a laugh or for someone else to chime in about a stupid mistake they made once before. It also makes more sense to make a Hearthstone relevant post on a Heartstone forum than to vent to people IRL who don't play the game.
The ability to disenchant at full value ought to last a little longer, IMHO. Like, 5 minutes or until you play a game with that deck, for example. Probably would be more of a P.I.T.A. to code than it seems, but would anyone really have a problem with that? It'd be a pleasant quality of life change. I'm sure many players have crafted and regretted something.
I am sorry dude, that sucks. I am also a f2p player but have been playing off and on since beta. Regardless, I feel your pain and I think Blizzard should have a longer grace period after crafting cards.

so? what do you want to hear from us?
After crafting you can immediately disenchant the card for full value.

This.
So you want us to tell you it isn’t your fault and that you are responsible for your actions?
Grow up dude.

Stay strong my friend :)

Having two golden copies looks better than one golden and one non-golden.
Chin up my man. It's an expensive mistake but hey, now you have a pair of goldens. Roll with it. Burn people's faces off in style.
If we have to punish people who play decks people dislike everyone would have a miserable experience.
mistakes happen, i once registered in this forum just to find out its full of idiots
It is unfortunate that you didnt disenchant it right away for a full refund.
making this thread was also a terrible mistake

Hi my dood.
Well, everyone knows you'll have better draws the more golden cards the deck contains, right? Kappa
