It will never be great - Rogue is too slow, has no healing or armor gain. In fact - It is nice idea, but rogue will simply die before getting massive value from Pogo guyz.

I advise you check out kolento playing high legend with a huge win streak. (version without elekk's and striders as they bog the deck down, the version he plays is far more streamlined and also has tech against aggro)
I was also a little disappointed how fast aggro trampled the early version I was playing, but after refining the deck, I can beat every aggro deck on ladder now... sure they beat me as well, but not every single time like with the initial version I built.
The deck works like a charm when built (and played) well. granted it's not an easy deck to play so I think the winrate is dragged down by people playing it bad.
also people who don't play it are looking at the wrong decks when checking it out, seeing an abysmal winrate which is attached to the miracle version, not the tempo version. (the tempo version was at 56% last I checked)
as an advocate for the deck I feel it necessary to educate people in the ways of the bunny. people playing sub optimal versions and claiming itls bad because they simply built the deck wrong for the meta, is giving the archetype a bad name... ha ha.
Please at least watch the good version of the deck played at high legend by a good player before claiming it's not or never will be "great" it's already great (in my opinion at least). just a tricky rogue deck that a lot of people are playing completely wrong at the moment.
Not to say their decks are not good, they are just not good in this meta. it needs to be very fast and be able to reliably draw what it needs... The newer versions are doing this. I hope the deck can be refined further. Also if they give us more draw next expansion it will be amazing :)
Thanks for reading. If you want a link to that video I can send you it (it's already in the thread a few posts back though)
I don't understand how Rogue can be misspelled so often... in post titles no less! imagine if have the druid post were listed as "driud" or priest as "preist". I wonder about the prevalence of dyslexia in the hearthstone community.
Tested quest with bunnies, any bunnies you play afted the quest will apply their battlecry ON TOP OF the 4/4 stats. It is a blast to play so far, though I haven't encountered any aggro yet.
ah that's awesome man.
as a rogue player would you recommend the quest? I would craft it now so I get as much play from it as pos before it rotates.
You guys are here complaining about zoo, druid etc but once aggro get tuned down in the future this rogue deck will rise. It literally jade druid 2.0 with infinite pogos. Mark my word people will start complaining about this deck in the future its really strong. What do you guys think about this?
Maybe when Quest Rogue is nerfed again. I don't believe in the Pogo-Quest Hybrid. I don't think it's necessary.
Just lost to Pogo when the guy got every single combo piece early on. Must be the flavor of the day because everyone is talking about it.
it's just gaining traction now as people are discovering the more optimized versions and realizing that it's actually a good deck.. the early versions were just bad for the current meta as they were too slow and un optimized when considering what the game plan is. although elekk add's more bunnies, it can become a dead cards and dead cards slow the game down and kill you. Same goes for strider. The 4/4's from the striders are nothing compared to what the bunnies can do, and even though you draw a spider and a card, the strider itself slowed the deck down also.
basically if you are playing strider you are not playing bunnies or trying to draw your bunnies. it completely goes against what the deck needs to be to be good right now.
people worked out that it needed as few minions as possible to be able to effectively draw into the bunnies... so only minions that help draw bunnies or create bunnies in some way are included, other than giggling inventor which is tech against aggro decks (it also works a charm with sonya, which a lot of the time aggro cannot remove when it's behind 2 divine shield taunts) needless to say if you can't remove sonya and are foced to trade into the taunts, the aggro deck will just loose. you get your taunts back, can trade your giggling in to ger her back for 1 mana, as well as your bunnies and stuff as well.
Then the DK is really great for getting value from bunnies as each one then becomes 2.
with all of this in mind there is no need for elekk's as you can make enough bunnies with the current package, and strider is counter to the games actual gameplan of making bunnies so again it's dead weight.... not to say in some much slower meta this version wouldn't work (as I'm sure it would) but right now the deck must be fast to survive, so these cards are surplus to requirements.
PS: I actually crafted 2 elekk for the deck so it's not like I don't like the card, I actually love it. It's just too slow right now. I am however using it in an academic espionage deck at the moment... still think it's too slow for that but I'll be dammed if I'm spending 800 dust on 2 cards and not using them. ha ha.
disagree, those pogos take a while to getin action, all the time you spend setting it up by the time its ready your dead
that's really not the case if the deck is built right.
yeah things can go wrong, but that is what deck optimization is about. the newer versions of the deck are built around drawing and creating more bunnies. it gets it done fast.
Yes you can get over ran by aggro, but so can everything. The point is now you can actually beat them. if you don't believe me check out the Kolento video of him beating zoolocks at high legend.
You should also be running your saps and vanishes. they help a lot. zilliax on a bunny heals you right back up to full no problem as well. and the combination of giggling inventor and sonya is too much for most aggro decks to handle unless they have a silence.... granted people will be running tech, no one is really expecting bunnies right now so you usually have nothing to worry about.
deck has gotten much better since day one. If you're actually interested there are plenty of videos now of people playing the deck at high legend, so it can't be that bad, right?
I agree that Pogo-Hopper is FAR better than people are saying. A lot of people don't realize that it is a mech, so you can magnetize Zilliax to it for healing and removal. As long as you survive the early game, Pogo-Hopper creates an inevitable win condition in the endgame, as you are immune to fatigue, can heal easily (lab recruiter your pogo-hopper and zilliax [before you magnetize it]), and just spend turn after turn playing larger threats. It's basically a return to Jade Druid and the only limiter is that druid has superior control tools to help them survive until their infinite combo.
I run a very successful deck that uses this combo and find that the trick is not to play hoppers early. Play the early game like a tempo rogue and then start bursting out hoppers when you can reliably survive. Also, don't shadowstep your hoppers, because you get more immediate value from your slayers and striders.
It's not that Pogo-Hopper is bad, but I don't think it's a sleeper deck. I played a bunch of games with it the first week of the expansion and as a player that reaches legend monthly with non-meta decks, I wasn't able to get it better than rank 2. It is possibly the most fun deck I've ever played and involves a lot of careful and thoughtful plays (and produces some incredible wins when you come back from near death with just a couple of pogo hoppers sticking) but I wouldn't call it oppressive.
That said, I was playing the unoptimized version that ran striders and elekk and stuff. I'd get just flat out killed before I could set up my pogos since rogue has pretty much no healing or armor gain. The newer version running giggling inventors and zilliax is certainly better, but I just can't see any deck built around bunnies being better than high tier 3 to mid tier 2 - viable but not overpowered. Pretty impressive for what many considered a "meme" card but certainly not Jade Druid 2.0 or anything like that.
I'm sorry, but it's really not. It's a niche deck with a serious gameplan, but any sort of early aggression obliterates it. It just doesn't have the offensive or defensive capabilities to establish any from of board presence early.
It's kinda like Jade Rogue, except better late game (since you can't possibly outlast it) but much much weaker early.
disagree, those pogos take a while to getin action, all the time you spend setting it up by the time its ready your dead

Ha ha, yeah I do love the deck.
And Kolento I am mentioning because he has played a good version of the deck, people know who he is etc.
If they see him play it it might change their opinions.. I mean it's going to do a better job than me defending it on the internet at least :D
He is just excited for his deck and can we blame him? I remember I also spammed a lot about jade elemental shaman back in Un'goro. I also talked about how the deck has potential (or at least it could have had it, if druids didn't get so many good cards in KoFT and shaman didn't suck that much).
Anyway - I also think the Pogo Hoppers are a gem, but the current meta doesn't allow it to shine. Zoolock is extremely aggressive - there is no way for a slow rogue deck to handle that much aggression. Druids also have powerful card draws and can outshine most slow decks.

I like to shadowstep one of my bunnies on turn 9 along with playing DK, then on turn ten play a zero cost bunny then double vilespine using the DK hero power. It's pretty effective at controlling the board.
Also I usually like to save shadowstep for a recruiter to add more copies to the deck. it doesn't really matter if the firwst one dies if there is now 6 extra copies in the deck.
Clever use of vanish is also really good at giving you bigger bunnies.
I feel like with the a more tempo orientated version, like you say dude playing the early game till you're at a point where you can you can start spamming bunnies is the best of gameplan, using giggling mid game to stall while you wind up.
Still getting a start on them by using recruiters early game is what you ideally want to do. you want to get those copies in your decks asap, so you can start drawing into them when it's time to start building them up properly.
I don't actually run striders in my current version as I found just focussing on the bunnies was the best idea. as soon as you have the ability to get the value from one you play it then you immediately start using your draw to get them out of the deck. You use sonya and DK to get even more value from them. And you can use mimic pods to make extra copies of things. granted you don't always draw a bunny or a recruiter, but when you do it helps.
I think the deck requires you to be devious with the combos so you can get value from sonya, and you really want to get hold of the DK and load it up turn 9 so you can start playing 2 for every 1 bunny.
It's certainly a really cool deck. I never played jades, but I played against them, and I love being able to beat druids with these bunnies as it's like revenge for all that jade BS last year.
He is just excited for his deck and can we blame him? I remember I also spammed a lot about jade elemental shaman back in Un'goro. I also talked about how the deck has potential (or at least it could have had it, if druids didn't get so many good cards in KoFT and shaman didn't suck that much).

No no blaming at all, i am just fascinated, thats it. Long time since i was that much into a certain card and/or deck. But i have to say, first time i saw the golden animation of this little fella, i felt a bit in love :D didnt think he would end up in a viable deck though. But after hearing the praises i might try it out. especially since where i am right now(eu rank 2/1) there seem to be no zoolocks anymore, a lot of controllocks and burn mages instead. Do you think the deck stands a chance? Oh and I don't own sonya, she is probably pretty important, huh?

Dude... watch that Kolento vid. he beats zoolock at high legend. This deck is not as slow as people think. (I've beaten zoolock as well, but not at as high ranks so I use him as proof of how good the deck can be)
You will of course loose games, but it has over 50% and that means it's good as far as I'm concerned. The only reason zoo and stuff is at like 65% is because it's dreadfully easy to pilot and there are a lot of them played at low ranks... some decks you don't even see at low ranks like togwaggle druid.. you never see one of those till you;re at the top of the ladder.
I honestly think out of all the aggro decks, zoo will give us most hassle as they carry spellstones, but paladin is a cake walk if you can get your giggling + sonya trap out. they just can't beat it.
Also yeah, sometimes any deck will run over you, but what I'm saying is the pogo rouge of now has the tools to win against every deck. Most decks have a 50:50 chance more or less, it's just the fast aggro decks get to hammer out more games faster and if they do draw right they can win really fast....
if the pogo decks starts messing with their tempo while building it's own into a taunt factory they just can't get past that though. (I'm actually glad the deck isn't seen a as threat by many because it means they are less ready to deal with it.
you can just gamble that they can't remove your sonya behind giggling and if it pays off you win, there is no possible way they can get through infinite annoy-O-trons with no removal to kill sonya.
I've had some great games using that, but going all in with recruiters and bunny on board as well. then being able to trade everything in and get them back and start putting giggling or just the taunts back up again while building the bunnies and adding more to the deck with the 1 mana adds. until they are able to either get through the taunts and trade into sonya, or silence her or something you have infinite value.
it's plays like these I don't think people are aware of until they start playing the deck and realize how broken it can be when you play it right and you get decent enough draw... thing is now the deck is built just to draw what you need so it's really efficient.
Thanks for your vote of confidence though ;) ha ha.

if you want to try it out, check out my version called "giggling death bunnies" It's exactly the same as what kolento was playing, although I'm toying between thalnos and a 2nd piper.
thalnos is good for with the fan of knives though and if you use them with the DK up you can thalnos then double fan of knives for 4 damage to their board, it's pretty strong.
it might take you some games to get into the flow of it, but I promise you it will be fun learning to play it.. don't listen to the people saying it's bad, they either haven't played it, played a bad version of it or didn't understand how to play it properly.
I don't wanna come off like some crazy narcissist or anything, I'm not bigging myself up, I'm just saying like the deck isn't an auto pilot deck and the people that are saying it's bad should frankly stick to odd paladin, rogue isn't easy.
I guess someone needs to test it out to be sure.
It will never be great - Rogue is too slow, has no healing or armor gain.
