I played control Warlock and my Opponent played mage. EVERY single turn he was roping me and since we are both control it took many turns. This is just very annoying to play against - any plans of Blizzard that will prevent stuff like that from happening?
Usually, whenever this happens, I just rope them back. Play another game at the same time, or just browse the internet or something.
They rope because they want you to concede. I find that almost every time, once they realise that you don't care about how long the game takes, they stop roping you.
First of all: Blizzard reduced the may time for the first 2 turns.
Second: I understand, that it is annoying, but this are the rules. It is maybe not very polite, but in a lot of situations, you just need the full rope to identify your best turn.
Nevertheless: Yes I also hate when ppl use the rope every turn without a reason
People rope when they see warlocks and druids.Actually alot of people do that. They are annoyed from both classes. I personally never rope and play turns as soon as i can after i thought, sometimes i rope but thats just because its probably a hard turn and i have to think at the late game. Don't be discouraged from those dicks, keep it up

Simple solution: dont play cancer decks that upset people like CubeLock
They need to just remove the time limit completely and let players take as long as they need.
That way, Control decks dont have to worry about getting their cool combos out before they rope and salty players can test the patience of EZ-mode aggro players by seeing if they can still force a win by refusing to end the turn for as long as possible. Think that’s an awesome idea! 👏
People are scummy. They will take advantage of any situation that allows them to be even slightly scummy and use flimsy mental gymnastics to justify their sad behaviour. This will always be the case. I recommend multitasking a bit while playing Hearthstone, such as also playing a handheld game that you can easily pause. That's what I sometimes do. Hearthstone doesn't typically require all that much attention anyway.
I wouldn't mind seeing some thing like the game start with the reduced turn times it has now and every consecutive turn adds 5secs until you reach the max of 75secs. This supports most deck styles and allows more time for complex turns as the game progresses, while also supporting aggro style decks that prefer short games/turns.
I often find myself roping in late game when playing combo or control decks just to make sure I have the right play and sequence it properly. Early game that length of turn is unnecessary at best.
Blizzard could realy just introduce a "report" option for ropers, which would get their behavior over many games inspected, either automatically in some way, or maybe manually if that is a problem. The system should give a lot of "benefit of the doubt" to players to prevent just punishing people who think really hard, but ropers often play all their cards out fast, and then let the turn end with a rope, which is easily noticeable. This would not only punish people who rope, but also discourage people from roping on purpose.
As an added benefit, I'd feel really good knowing that an asshole roper got punished for his behavior. Not letting it bother You is one thing, the satisfaction of justice being brought is another .
During CThun decks meta I once played tournament match which ended 3-2 in my favor and had such decks as Freeze Mage, Cthun Warrior, CThun Druid, Malygos OTK Shaman and similiar stuff involved in the process. Imagine how many hours me and my opponent spent on this xD
"I have seen worlds bathed in the Makers' flames, their denizens fading without as much as a whimper. Entire planetary systems born and razed in the time that it takes your mortal hearts to beat once. Yet all throughout, my own heart devoid of emotion... of empathy. I. Have. Felt. Nothing. A million-million lives wasted. Had they all held within them your tenacity? Had they all loved life as you do?"

I played some c'thun warrior back in ungoro before it got any support whatsoever and I gotta say, it felt bad losing like a 40 minute game after your opponent finally got in enough chip damage

That's why many people play aggro. It just saves time. Either you lose quickly or win quickly.
I have played 15games in hour with mage so amazing difference :D i like control decks but maaan 30-40minutes oer game is too much

We had this topic already a couple of times.

Shit just happens man. You got queued with some asshole. Thats all. I dont think there is anything blizzard can do about it.
I guess your opponent felt superb to your "cancerous" cube lock and decided to teach you a lesson not to play cards XD

Why not introduce an option for both players at the start of the game to agree on a reduced time for each turn? Like 1 min, 45 secs etc.

When you play with a cancer deck, you deserve to be punished ...

You can always concede and start a new game :)
