Since the release of the new expansion I'm having a lot of tough time. Mainly because, I cant find myself a deck that I enjoy playing. I find myself on losing streaks, frustrated after losing games I should have won and surrounded by the feeling of being lost
I know that its a very special time in HS, with the meta not being fully known. Yet because I usually reach high ranks on ladder, not surpassing rank 15 feels very weird to me.
Would love to see any of your suggestions, mainly decks that one could enjoy through a period of time without getting burnt out (for example, I have a full CubeLock deck that I played *a lot* during the time between C&C and TWW, yet because of its repetitivness I stopped using it). Dust isnt much of a problem.
Sounds cliche but hear me out. Try Even Paladin. It tends to be more midrange, and I suspect could even be geared to be just a control deck, but point is there are plenty of ways to go about building it. Unlike Odd Paladin - which tends to be much more aggressive with auto-include card choices and build arounds like Level Up! - Even Paladin has the good removal (Equality/Consecration/Pyromancer), the spellstone, Truesilver, Tirion, Lich King, The Glass Knight (which to my surprise is turning out to be a really good "just OK" card).

I have been thinking mainly about making a druid or paladin decks, because none of the other options seem viable. furthermore, pally and drood and classes that I barely play and I surprisingly have a respectable amount of the important cards for each. Since both of them seem equally attractive for me, I dont know what should I pick

FWIW I'm normally not a paladin player mainly because I don't find aggressive decks satisfying to play, but Even Midrange Paladin has been really enjoyable.

I'm honestly in the same boat. Not only am I having trouble finding a fun deck, but I'm also having trouble finding a deck I can consistently win with.
Even paladin is decent... But I donno. It lost its appeal after I played it a few times. Even shaman is a lot more fun in my opinion. I'm wondering if I should try to build other random Genn decks, but if you go past turn 10, I hate having a wasted mana every turn haha.
I'm just hoping nerfs come around sooner than 2 months into the game because I'd like to build a deck without thinking "Can it stand up to cubelock? If no, try something else, if yes, can it stand up to paladin? If no, restart" haha. Every other match is a lot more fun. Just in my opinion =P.

I've been having a lot of fun with Rush Warrior this expansion; doesn't have the greatest win rate but i'm still having fun and climbing. Highly suggest you check out that deck. Taunt druid seems like a pretty interesting deck too but I feel like a nerf to the cube is coming soon so i'd be wary about that. Even/Odd paladin is really cool too, however I personally think Even is better than Odd because you have so many more tools to work with other than the chance of a turn 5 level up. Even Zoo lock is also a cool and cheap deck if you're looking at cheapness too.
If you have a lot of dust to work with, I say take a chance on a deck that you think would be fun, I did that last xpac with spell hunter and had a blast with that. A deck i'm thinking of making because it looks extremely fun is Echo-Zoo look with Glinda; idk if i'd be able to climb but it seems like a fun deck that if I put the time into trying to make it work i'm sure i could climb to legend while having fun
Also remember, the longer you play with a fun deck or 'off-tier' deck the better you become with it; there are people every season who climb to legend with tier 4 decks because as they play more and more games they figure out how to play against certain decks and how to win. Overall i'd say find a deck you have fun with and play to master.
would you say that those decks are Odd, Even and Murloc Paladin, Spideful Drood, Cubelock and control warlock?
And I guess that some taunt warrior and miracle rogue
The main "boring" meta decks the guy is probably referring to are cubelock and odd/even paladin. Spiteful Druid is still... overrated, I think. Good deck, yes! But beatable haha.
I haven't seen a murloc paladin this expansion yet.

It's a myth that this is a very special time in HS. The meta has already formed around a tiny number of incredibly boring decks.
Why do you even play Hearthstone? Also your comment is entirely irrelevant to the thread you are posting in. Take your sour grapes and go outside for a change.
I recommend playing Hadronox Druid op. The deck is a ton of fun and feels very good to win with.
I too had problems until I told myself "the heck with it, I'll stick in low ranks for a while". I'm playing an OTK Quest Malydruid with Faceless and the Kobolds legendary. When I can get 4 free Malygos on board for free, fun is back in the game.

I haven't been able to play an enjoyable true mid-range deck in years but even Pally is just so damn fun. You have loads of build options and the gameplay is leagues more engaging then ANY aggro or Spiteful deck out there.
I do also think that Even Pally outclasses the Odd versions. Since I have more dust than usual, about 6k, I think that I will eventually go for Druid or Paladin. the question is, Since there are so many versions of Even-Midrange Paladin and Druid decks and I am willing to use most of my dust, what do I go for. Its a really tough question
Would like to thank you guys for the overwhelming support and idea- sharing.
The main idea behind the thread was to share the feeling that I now know a lot suffer from, which is the "feeling" for a deck. There is nothing more satisfying, for me at least, to outplay your opponent after a well- thought game. Thats why I like to play the midrange-control type of decks, and thats why im attracted towards even pally and some-kind-of-druid deck.

Taunt Druid and Spiteful Druid are both awesome decks. So if Druid is one of the two classes your leaning towards I would recommend Druid!
