I plan to play a edgy almost meme level decks that long term likely will not be top tier decks. However it should also be able to punish people who are playing "fun decks". I would reccomend others to take the same approach even if you are dust limited as the first few weeks are alot of fun than 2 months of climbing with a netdeck in a stale meta. Plus personally I find it fun to invest in non-meta decks as it is more of a challenge to win with not tier 1 decks and I feel more acomplished as I am playing my own creation even if it is a version of a competetive deck. For example even though I am a legend player I have never played cubelock but instead play a turbo rin deck when I feel like playing warlock. Trust me, it is satisfying and I would highly reccomend just crafting a deck that is fun straight away.
I will probably play a mixture of Shudderwock OTK as many decks will be slow at launch, so it will be possible to pull off the combo (see signature, and even check out the page for full description of how it works). I will probably mix it up a bit with some form of odd deck, maybe odd aggro hunter for fast climbing whilst having fun playing a deck that may become unplayable soon.
What is you guys' approach to crafting initial decks? And what deck are you most looking foward to playing!?
I think similar to spell hunter in K&C there will be alot of shudderwock decks for the first few days perhaps weeks and then it will die down slightly and become a low tier 2 deck that is a good choice in certain metas (similar to what quest mage was in its prime except I would say more consistent and slightly better).
Somebody already made a thread for that stuff, here's a link. Might want to post there because they are both basically the same things.
Oh mb it seems like they released it as I was creating this post. I think its fine to have duplicates as I want to take this thread in a slightly different direction to be more of a discussion of why you choose to craft certain decks (entertainment/value for money/f2p/climbing etc).
Im already playing good old handlock in wild!! Best deck ever :)
Edit: you really need skill for this deck!!!!
do you have a deck list?
No but i use the same list like 3 years ago xD oldschool shitt but i added rin vs control match up and i would add glinda when she come :) core cards are healbot, sludge belcher, molten and mauntain giants, twighlight drake, sunfire protector, ancient watcher and defender of argus (everything you put 2 coppies if you can) .. you can add demon package with 2 voidcaller malganis and doomguard/voidlors and jaraxxus is pretty great in handlock :) just use core cards and then adjust it to your playstyle hehe i didnt go with demon package but i could make one with it :) you can add ragnaros and sylvanas for late game :)
I will do the Odd Taunt Q Warrior, because I want to see if it is as good as I seriously believe it will be in the upcoming meta!
Then I have a Quest pally deck with Hero Power OTK variant in mind! Q Pally is surprisingly strong in it's current state, and now with just a few added tools I will put it to a test.
Rush Warrior is definately high on the try-list too. And Davaretta mentioned "White Dragon Quest Priest" here which sounds cool af!

Don't mind me, just the UK National Champion.
Shudderwock Shaman, not my proudest fap, but certainly the best one
Don't mind me just passing by

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
Shudderwock.
I'm pretty sure the game is going to be 50% Shudderwock, 50% dude Paladins preying on unrefined control decks for the first month.

Shudderwock & Hagatha Shaman will be the first deck I build. Followed by odd Mage.
Not proud to say it, but I'm late to the Cubelock orgy and figured next expansion is a good time to try it out

This. I don't even care if the deck turns out to be any good, shudderwock is gonna be fun as hell to play.
Rider of Taelkas and Shadowleader of the Creya Dragons.
Battlecry Shaman (obviously)
Odd Warrior
Secret/Prince Liam Aggro (my signature)
Even Shaman
Even Handlock
Odd Priest w/ Glitter Moth
I'm going to play Priest and Warlock because I hope they will be OP again and I'll be getting my free ranks ez.
I guess no one here has any love for Quest Hunter, cuz that's my first deck.
I will be running shaman hagatha shudderwok
White Dragon Quest Priest. I will slay the Shudderwocks! *Chortling intensifies*
Suicide warlock. Because now it has too much support to it with cards like Blood Witch and Deathweb Spider and Duskbat etc.
You may make fun, but ill be the last one blasting those 7 damage lifesteals up cho ass ;)
