As the title suggests, I'm curious about the Hearthpwn community's reception of Youtube videos demonstrating how these gamers play certain decks (e.g. KiwiiNbacon, Kristophesaurus,ect.). A little while ago, the downvotes used to very often correspond with the content - if there were big misplays/poor plays throughout the game, whining, ect, it would be downvoted. Now however, it seems that gameplay videos get downvoted more often, even if none of the above are true. Has something changed in the community's feelings towards these videos? Or is it just something I'm becoming more aware of/coincidence?
Thoughts & opinions appreciated.

I invested in Reno cause I heard you could get rich quick, now I'm broke.
KiwiNbacon is the guy that always plays most upvoted decks on the hearthpwn hot decks page right? i've watched a few of his videos and his commentary is annoying and unconstructive. He'll read every single card name thats played and explain whats happening like its a video for the blind
"..SI7 agent into my bonemare, now he's gonna finish off with his patches, then go face with the rest... we drew bloodreaver guldan.. not so good because we only have 7 mana... i guess i'll just play doomguard"
that guy makes me wanna pull my hair out, i cant stand it *rant over*

I can't stand that guy. He hijacks other peoples upvoted decks and show cases them with a video with a commentary of a 10 year old. His videos of course only shows games where he totally destroys his opponents. His reactions to his won games is like he just had sex. He's never past rank 4-5 in any of his videos and he gives away weekly card decks just for subs because who else would sub to his channel.

I don't know the guy, but if he's bad then why are you watching his video's? I understand that sometimes you just don't like something, but why downvote instead of simple ignoring it? I'm sure some of the newer players might enjoy showcased decks with simple commentary. Rank 5 is high enough for players still learning the game anyway. I personally appreciate people who are trying to make an effort for the community.
I downvote KiwiiNbacon at sight. Basically, he tries very hard to ride on very upvoted decks from others.
He made 2 videos of decks of mine. I was actually glad he showcased my decks because I am not able to do make videos myself. He always mentions the deck is not his and tells from whom he got the deck. So I think he does a good job.
I don't ever downvote something on youtube and I only upvote to add a music video to my upvote list xD. Anyhow it is mainly only salty kids that hungers for attention that down vote videos, I think most of us don't really care.
I like his videos - seeing him having fun, enjoying the game as much as he does while even making the occasional misplay is all part of his charm that makes me like him so much. Doesnt play like a god like the pros - he plays like just a regular guy and does exactly what he sets out to do which is to 'show case' a deck that he likes...
Its like the down voters are jealous of an ordinary guy with decent enough skill getting attention...
I don't downvote but I did watch some of the highlighted gameplay videos, and the missplays are very painful. I have never reached Legend either, but (I hope) I don't make those kind of mistakes. Like others have said, if you need to learn the game while watching other people, might as well watch someone who's good.
I think it's pretty bad to say, but I dislike EVERY single video of kiwiinbacon. He does tons of missplays when he showcase decks, he's boring asf and won't ever try to explain the strategy behind a deck, he'll just randomly read some card description, he'll eventually say what's happening in that turn, bla bla. I tried with 4-5 of his videos and meh, just meh, there was a time he was in EVERY single page, not only the most upvoted deck, and it's SO annoying. dayum.
I think you guys are to harsh on him. He means well and does an ok-ish job. That is enough for me. That does not mean it should be enough for you guys, but it also does not mean you have to be so harsh on him.

"I'm going to play a card" is not educational and "10 mana cards aren't useful with 7 mana" isn't exactly rocket science. HS isn't a small indie game lacking in community content. It would be much better for new players to watch someone else

In fairness, its Youtube. Home of the jealous kid downvoters. Heh!
Downvotes dont really mean anythibg on there. Other than a means to ty and troll the video uploader. I ignore the few downvotes I get on mine.
I will upvote almost anything as long as I can see there is effort put into it. Same thing for deck creators.

kiwii bacon is very bad
Kiwi is playing terrible given how long he's been playing this game. i don't vote but i can totally see the reason why people do that.
if you wanna learn the game might as well learn it correctly.

Well said. I don’t care enough to downvote but I’ve seen some of his videos by chance... and I can’t say that he’s a good player

Sorry bruh.
Ugh, I have to agree that kiwi is THE WORST. He's a terrible player, and his screen presence is super annoying.
Feels bad to pile on like this, but he really needs to improve his game -- both his YouTube game and Hearthstone.

He’s entertaining. Leave it at that. If you don’t like don’t watch. Simple.
Kiwiinbacon misplays more times in a video than Regis Killbin gets compared to Ben Brode in a stream.
