Playing Control Mage against a Cubelock. I had a good opening, I countered his Mountain Giant on turn 4, destroyed his weapon, polymorphed his Doomguard and was sitting at full HP until late game. I still lost, though, I couldn't compete against the DK hero without having mine...I had 5 cards left in my deck, one of them was Jaina...feels bad.
Perfectly countering 3-4 things they do isn't enough to beat cube lock if they draw decent.. If you can't zerg them down with an agro deck, you instead have to perfectly counter 5-6 things they do in order to stand a chance. Great, isn't it? I hope they murder that fucking archtype into the ground next balance patch and issue 3 day temp bans to anyone with account history of laddering with it.. It's literally 100x as aids as handlock was.
Dude handlock was the hardest deck to pilot at that time......

Handlock was my favorite deck to play at the time, I was saying it was at least balanced for the most part (you were easily punished and Jaraxus wasn't anywhere close to the get out of jail free EZ button that guldan is).
Mmmmh Jaina is always at the bottom of my deck... is that a bug? Of course it is not but WHY IS IT ALWAYS THERE??

i dont believe it's possible for my account to win in casual anymore.
Oh hi Kaladin. How are you enjoying your Face Collector, control hunter and Glitter Moth meta xD. Maybe you keep losing because you don't know a damn thing about the game you are playing. I still remember how you were fighting the people who thought control hunter wouldn't be a thing lol. Where is your control hunter?

So I guess all the pros that made incorrect predictions also know nothing about the game?
Difference is no pros thought Glitter Moth, Face Collector or Control Hunter would be viable.

Really don't give a shit who thought it was good or bad. Pros make wrong predictions all the time. Just because I predicted cards would be good that ended up not working out (because I tend to be overly optimistic and favor greedier archetypes) doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing. Furthermore, just because I make appropriate use of the salt thread doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing. Lastly, just because I don't hit legend every single month doesn't mean I'm a bad player who doesn't know what he's doing.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
Taunt druid really isn't that good of a matchup. I've played taunt druid from rank 8 to 3 (I know, I know, shoot me) and I feel decent against paladin. Sometimes I can quickly ramp up to primordial, swipes and wraths come in handy, tar creepers etc. The result is draw dependent though.
So what did you actually ever lose to as Taunt Druid? I've played spell hunter, odd rogue, control priest and tempo(face) mage and had little to no success.
Whilst I understand the 3 aggro decks are unlikely to work (Fair enough, taunt beats aggro) I still get crushed on control because all that armour just ruins my combo and inevitably even when I try to save all my dispells and silences, there is so many ways to get multiple hadronax plays.
I did not lose much (but I usually don't lose much on the first climb, regardless of deck) but aggro mage and aggro paladin both did seem like pretty bad matchups, and I lost a few times. I also lost a few times to control priest, because whenever I popped hadronox he screamed, and he used geist against my naturalizes. And both odd rogue and spiteful have beaten me by simply outtempoing me.
There have also been some cheesy counters. Warrior playing Cornered Sentry. Control mage playing Polymorph. Shaman playing Hex.
Oh look, my opponent coined out a Flame Geyser against my 1 health turn one minion rather than just hero powering, all while having zero elemental synergy all game and playing the 1/2 into my volatile elemental that was already going to trade into his 1 health minion
Turns out he's rank 23 but wins anyways because 3 Blizzards, 2 Book of Scepters, and on curve minions every single turn is all that's required to do anything in this pathetic excuse for a game
Better go back to Casinostone, I mean ranked
What an absolute travesty of a game, to think you can legitimately rotate out a year's worth of cards and have zero impact on the top decks in the game, yet pretend you have a full staff of 40 hour a week employees actually contributing and not just watching Cowboy Bebop while tabbed out playing MTGArena and streaming LoL
Had a crazy strong Toki run with Staff of Summoning and about 10 7+ mana minions (2 Antonidas, Y'Sarj, Lich King, 2 Ragnaros, Ysera, 2 Trogzzor). Was stomping shit left and right. Ran into Gnomenapper, dropped Sack of Bullshit turn 3, his hero power turned into "2 mana: Destroy a minion" since his board was full, was dead by turn 5. Great fucking boss design with this one, really is. Totally encourages smart gameplay and usage of your turn reset in order to win.
Guess I'll be aiming for those sweet, sweet 100 bosses soon.
This shit really is ridiculous, though. Toki has ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE card buckets, a hero power that's completely obsolete more often than not if you actually draft a strong deck and probably the most bullshit final boss as well, just to tie this package of "Fuck you" nicely together. None of the other hunters took me more than 30 attempts and those usually ended up being pretty fun still. Toki on the other hand is just a gigantic grind and complete and utter shit. Her entire existence has got to be the SINGLE worst designed piece of content in this entire god-forsaken game.
Anything above rank 20 - 0stars : players with tier 1 decks and pandaria card backs (pandaria > legend in terms of dangerosity) that shit all over you whle BMing.
Rank 20 - 0stars : 99% players with tier 1 decks and pandaria card backs that shit all over you whle BMing, but sometimes you're lucky and meet a noob with a basic deck, which you beat (and hopefully teach him that this game is not noob/f2p friendly along the way) to promptly get your anus enlarged the following match.

Fix your ladder Blizzard.
The game's been out for quite a while now and the majority of the players have decent card collections now or realize they have to spend money to catch up. It's a meta in which anyone with minimal dust can craft an UBER PALADIN (RAWR!!), play any card in any order as long as it's mana efficient, and shit all over 90% of their opponents. I don't think the ladder is broken, I think Paladin is broken. And, as a result, players who don't want to play Paladin either quit or come to terms that they must buy packs to get better cards. Thus, you have less newbies sticking around and more Tier 1 decks.
Burn my hand 11 turns in Topdeck mode for next 10 turns Enemy plays Huge legend + Zola 3 cards left in deck, finally draw Azalina (aka 1 turn too late) Lose very hard
Just going to come here to rant and get some things off my chest in regards to how I am feeling about this game.
I seriously feel duped for having pre-ordered and subsequently purchasing more Witchwood packs. I honestly thought things have changed in terms of the dev team taking our concerns into consideration, but the announcement that we'll be waiting at least another month for patches today and the silence that led up to this point has me really considering just quitting the game altogether.
There is only so much disappointment I can take from a game and I am reaching my limit with Hearthstone. The unfortunate thing is I have invested so much money and time into the game that I find myself unable to truly let go. I know it's unlikely, but if there are other players who feel that same way and have successfully quit, I wish that I could hear from you on how you let it go.
I wish there was a way to get back my investment in this game because I lean more towards anger than joy when playing lately and when I am not winning the game feels more like work than entertainment. The unfortunate fact is I think I am a good tournament player (placed well in every one I have entered), but the ladder climbing aspect to get into the big money tournaments is too detrimental to my mental health, so I will never recoup my investment in this game.
Because of that, I just want a game that can be more consistently fun, which requires toxic meta decks to be balanced rather quickly... yet Team 5 will have not balanced the game for over 5 months by the time the next nerfs come around and there is no info on what they definitively will be. I played an arguably more toxic game in Madden (Ultimate Team) for years and finally quit this year, but even they made balance changes nearly every month, at minimum every 2 months. Team5 would probably use the excuse that they have a smaller dev team, but the Madden team only has about 5 guys who work on game balance after a release because the rest of the team starts work on the next year's game.
Please, get your shit together Blizzard/Team5. I really want to play your game. I really want to enjoy playing it. Quit waving the majority of your community away like plebs and attempting to ignore us into submission. You have created a toxic environment for a game that should be oozing positivity and seem content with it. Let smaller tournaments determine who makes it to World-level tournaments, in addition to Ladder.
whats it like to be able to just topdeck nuts after nuts, after emptying your entire hand turn after turn? to be massively behind and continually topdeck cards that are basically the only thing that gives lethal? to have the game designers so far up your fucking ass that its clear the game has predetermined winners and losers?
MUST BE FUCKING NICE.

Need to be removed from this game
Spent 10 minutes figuring how to set up a guaranteed steal on an Amalgamate via Sylvanas, only for the bastard to play another amalgamate card.
