The main issue is imho that These Cards are only good in combination. If you use the cold blood not on the boar (as the normal miracle does), you have a 2 damage Combo with stonetusk boar and faceless Manipulator. These combo Cards are absolutely unflexible and often just dead Cards in your Hand. Besides, 4 Cards for 18 damage is not too great. Razakus had 22 with two Cards.
Even without Faceless it’s 9 burst damage, or 10 without the second Cold Blood. Those would require 3. Leeroy needs 2-3, if you Shadowstep, so it’s only 1-2 more cards, and a lot cheaper.
Ive never tried, but I though it seemed like a huge potential.
Or am I missing something that makes this combo ineffective?
Leeroy need only a shadowstep to give 12 damage and by itself is a 6 damage to finishing the game, it is faaaaaar from a dead slot in your deck.
Now, what happen if you draw x2 stone boar and x1 Faceless but not Cold blood? You lose the game.
Even if you get all the pieces of your combo the opponent can deny with a single taunt, Raza priest and Exodia mage have combo hard to get all the pieces but when you get you win, opponent have a board of taunts and 30 life don't stop you.
Or am I missing something that makes this combo ineffective?
You new? For rogue, southsea Declhand with 2 coldblood and faceless is 20 damage from hand. The problem is you need gather 4 cards and aggro deck will ussually kill you long before that
I'm sure that someone has probably given this a go. Would be interesting to see (if anyone has) some stats on it though - and might be fun as a meme deck to try out when you reach a ledge on the ladder
I think the main problem at the moment is that against decks like Control Lock etc, by the time you "have assembled the four pieces of the combo", there's a wall of problematic taunts etc in the way. (That and dying to early aggro like someone else said)
The meta is full of walls and traps at the moment.

Not new, just an honest question.
It's a good question, since it's not something that has been done in any consistent form recently on the ladder. It would most likely be a hard one to pull off for the reasons above - though the 4-card "problem" is a soft one, since a lot of combos require at least this as well - the difference is they have greater damage outputs and/or card draw and/or survivability than a Rogue does, who suffers from being overwhelmed in the early game. That said, there's no reason you can't give it a try. The new Rogue secret "might" act a bit ore like an Ice Block to get you through the mid game. Or it might not. I can't say either way as I've not tried it myself.
I'm tempted to try a deck with this idea (though I would probably try with the Southsea Deckhand as others suggest). I reckon along with Kingsbane keeping you alive, you "might" have a shot? Maye? Maybe not. Hard to tell without really trying it first.
Props for thinking out the box of the current meta, though. Just because an idea you had has been done before shouldn't detract from the fact that you're thinking up new stuff. :-)

I am assuming here that the removal of Leeroy might be for people who haven't got him perhaps? As an alternative? That's pure speculation, of course.

Thanks. I thought of Stonetusk Boar because people are now comparing him to Patches the Pirate since he’s losing charge. Plus is a lot cheaper than Leeroy, albeit obviously not as good.
When Leeroy was 4 mana, that was one of the two go to finisher combos for rogue decks, 18 dmg charge for 10 mana from 3 cards. Other one was with Leeroy, Cold Bloods and Shadowsteps that did 24 dmg but required 5 cards in total (or less for less dmg). Why the Board combo aint used now is probably cause u have to have a bad cards in your deck to save for the combo and it takes one more card to pull off the combo compared to the old one, its just too much sacrifice for what it gives you i suppose. Also it was way easier to cycle through your deck to dig for the combo pieces with 5-cost auctioneer, not as easy nowdays. Not to mention that Voidlords and Voidwalkers kinda put a stop to that as well.
has anyone ever tried Stonetusk Boar, 2x Cold Blood and Faceless Manipulator combo before for Rogue? Seems like a cheap 18 burst damage combo for 4 cards instead of Leeroy Jenkins combos. There is even enough mana for Sap.
Or am I missing something that makes this combo ineffective?
probably the fact that it requires 4 specific cards to be in your hand
That's a lot of cards to assemble.
Too hard to pull off I think. Did you try it out?
"...But honestly the dual-class arena is super fun.." Ben Brode 2017
actually sounds good.. dunno, never saw the combo being played, did you try it?

I remember people using Southsea
