Really, aside from 1 or 2 decks, is there really anything on the ladder we haven't seen before? Kinda just seems like this expansion is the same BS on the ladder with different names. Aggro, aggro, aggro, token control priest deck, aggro, cubelock, cubelock. Really, anybody else already tired of this expansion?
Unfortunately nerfing Corridor Creeper and a couple other cards won't change the fact that this was a really underwhelming expansion. There are almost no new strategies to play around with. Devs really dropped the ball with K&C, so far my second least favorite expansion (only because TGT can't be beat in awfulness)
Well, it's been what, 6 weeks after the release of K&C? The meta stabilized. Happens after every expansion release. The only 2 viable aggro decks i'm running into is Aggro/Murloc Pally. All 3 archetypes of Priest is seeing play. Dragon/Big/Razakus Priest. Keleseth and Mill Rogue is seeing play. Zoo/Control/Cube Lock seeing play. Secret Mage. Face Hunter. The meta is much slower than just only aggro.
One of my favorite expansions solely based off the fact that dungeon run is a blasty blast. Standard meta isn't all that boring actually. There are viable and highly played aggro, control, combo, and midrange decks. Am I missing something? Every class except for 2 have at least 2 viable decks (viable does not mean top tier).

What were you expecting? we still have the same amount of expansions (and the same expansions) in the standart format atm, did you expect the meta to change completely? the great decks are still great with the addition of some cards and a few new archetypes showed up, the meta is almost the same as before, at that makes sense, if you really want a change just wait until the rotation, a lot of cards are gone so the powerful decks will lose some key cards and the meta wil be brand new, I still don't understand why some people were expecting this expansion to change the meta in such a huge way all the same card are still here, the decks can either get way better with some new shit or get slightly worse only cause the other powerful decks got better than those.
A problem I foresee is, if the balance changes don't hit any Cubelock cards, then that deck will still be around in full force come rotation, as it loses virtually nothing. Priest loses nearly everything they have right now, but Warlock will keep going off their current/new stuff. Tempo Rogues and Mill Rogues also don't lose that much, but Tempo Mage loses all their Gadgetzan-gotten Secret stuff. Not to mention that all of Jade and Patches itself are going in a few months. Just wait it out, but we may see some things stay the same.

I've been playing less and less. Year of the Mammoth was just so boring, and the cancer doesn't rotate for another three months, so we have three more seasons of Pirates, Jades, and Priest BS.
Thank god I got a Nintendo Switch to buy the time.
I get that it would be boring for many (this is one reason I like to play wild), but what do you expect? This is how card games work, not just HS. Eventually new stuff that is also good stops being thought of during a meta because the most efficient decks are already being used. Aside from the occasional 'prince moment' you aren't going to see something new pop up until new cards are out again.
IDK about standard because Im playing wild at this moment but from r25 to r8 that i climbed in last 2 days i met 1 control warlock and 0 razzakus priests.. 3 jade druids, 2 face hunters and 4 aggro paladins. Then there was so many variations of any other decks..
If you are bored lets go to wild.. you dont need full colection of every set, just switch 3-4 cards

I do agree the meta has a good mix of decks being played ...
But I still SWEAR there is some kind of MMR shenanigans going on that make it seem stale.
Last night, playing Big Priest, a deck that is pretty weak against aggro, I played 12-18 games against an aggro class ... I even had 2 games against an "aggro / midrange" priest. (Keleseth, pirates, ect).
So, I switch to control warlock .... 9 of 12 games ... all caster classes, including 4 warlocks in a row.
While playing Big Priest ... not a single game against a mage, and only 2 against Warlock ... switch decks ... 4 warlocks in a row ... 4 out of 6 games, mage.
For me, that is the big issue ... If I stick to one deck, I don't see the wide range of decks in the meta. At least 3/4 my games are either direct mirror to whatever deck I am playing, or even/poor matchup.

Except of course you would if you actually stuck to the deck. You know statistics and stuff rather than anecdotes and confirmation bias.

If it is true what you said, then the poor matchup guys who played with you are considered..."lucky"? After all, it still falls to RNG..

This is why I'd assume Ben Brode tweeted that if there were balance changes, it would be coming within next month.
Which is not something Ben Brode ever mentions

Agreed, which is why for the first time ever, I'm playing Wild. And... it's actually fun.
Ready for action!

Well, my friend, YOU can change it! Play Freeze Shaman! Play Control Paladin! Spell Hunter! Miracle Rogue! Fuck the meta!
P.S. And also enjoy your hard earned rank 20 while doing it.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm just sad I've finished all 9 classes in dungeon runs. If only there was a way to make that mode multiplayer...
Standard Legend - July '16 (Rank 56), June '17, Dec. '18, Apr. '19
Wild Legend - Mar. '18 (Rank 30), Apr. '18, Aug. '19
Twelve Arena Wins - Shaman, Warlock, Mage x2, Rogue, Priest (12-0), Druid, Hallow's End x2, Hunter, Taverns of Time x3 (Pa,D,WL), Paladin
