I've been playing Hearthstone since it was first out of beta, and it has always ran really smoothly with the exception of slow spell animations. Once Kobolds and Catacombs was released however, it went to shit. Now, whenever i play a card, there's at least a 10 second pause, my game becomes unresponsive for another 5 seconds then it plays. I click end turn, same thing. The FPS is still fine, but it's those pauses that kill me because sometimes, the rope will continue to burn and the end turn button will be unresponsive. I can click at it all day but it won't do anything.
I just want to play hearthstone like i used to, and i'm too broke to afford a new computer or graphics card so, what can this ol' bum do to fix these issues? Re-installing doesn't help, and i've looked at the setting on my computer and in game. In game setting are set to low and my HS is windowed (that helps with WoW, but not HS)

IMO it's your Internet provider or something with network overall. Have you tried a speedtest or check ping for some DNS (maybe 8.8.8.8) to check for lost packages?

Sounds more like a dodgy internet connection to me. For me, this kind of slowdown only occurs when my internet is unstable.
HS even plays OK on my 1.2 ghz netbook with integrated graphics from 2006, no extreme slowdowns.
