Once I heard about the Expansion I quit Hearthstone for Gwent just until the Expansion drops. The expansion dropped Yesterday so I made a Dragon Highlander Priest deck and played for about 4-5 hours, and I just finished playing a few more hours today and the only interesting deck I've played against is that crappy Spell Hunter and Miracle Rogue from time to time(That deck sucks too btw).
What's wrong? Why isn't anyone experimenting or trying fun new stuff? I've played against like 90% Aggro or Priest. I'm not salty or anything because I've won most of my games climbing from Rank 19 to Rank 9 in about 3-4 Hours.
I'm just surprised people are still playing the same Aggro BS after like 130 new cards were added.
So your complaining about not playing against different decks, yet you are playing the same top deck in the meta? Why aren't you making the experimental decks on ladder?

I play only Priest, and have been playing Only Priest for the last 3 years, even when Priest was a meme I only played Priest, so naturally with new Dragon Priest tools I wanted to Try out Dragon Priest.
I don't think my Highlander Dragon Priest was ever "Top Deck in the meta", Razakus/Highlander Combo Priest is or was... so idk what you are even talking about.

Why would anyone play bad cards and bad decks on purpose? Why do you consider that fun and based on what do you think it's fun for everyone else too?
No I dont consider playing against Aggro Druid +1 New card in Dire Mole to be fun, I dont consider playing against Murloc Paladin or Secret Mage + 1 new card to be fun to play against.
Some people feel those decks are fun to play with or against, so in the end that's just my opinion.
Ignoring the "Dragon Highlander Priest" hypocrisy, the reason why people aren't experimenting is that most of the new-ish deck ideas are heavily reliant on Epics that were just released, Like, almost every new deck requires a good number of new epics. Now, maybe you have 20K dust lying around that you don't mind blowing on trying some "fun" decks out that may or may not work, but most of us don't have the luxury to blow 2K dust on an untested deck and hope it might be fun.
And... you're playing ranked. Don't you think people would be trying out "fun" decks in... you know... casual? If you play ranked, people play decks they know are going to work, like Dragon Highlander Priest. Try playing casual if you want to play against a variety of decks, or take your deck to Wild and play it there, it'll do fine and you can add Reno or Lightbomb or Sludge Belcher, and there's a lot of different decks in wild.

Well you got your answer, it's your opinion. You asked why do they play those decks... well cos they like something different from you. Everyone plays what they want and what they enjoy. Or even what they can if they don't have enough cards or whatever. Your question... didn't make much sense tbh
I never ask if people enjoyed those decks i am well aware that fun is subjective Im just wondering why people are not playing with NEW CARDS.
130+ NEW CARDS and I see some people not even using any of them, that was the point. It wasn't a discussion on whether aggro is fun or whatever.

it's a close iteration of the best deck in the meta. why not try new priest decks if you want to experiment then?
Everyone calling me a Hypocrite when I wasn't mad about people playing the meta I was mad about people not using new cards.
I dont care About people playing strong meta decks I am just surprised that some arent even using new cards when so many were added.
Most of the cards released in this set don't push any existing tier 2 decks further, with the exception of tempo/secret mage (and any and all priest decks, which are tier 1). Some tier 3 decks like control warlock or mid-range hunter got some new tools that might help, but they would be adding a card or two to their deck, not something you'd really stand up and notice as a new deck.
Basically, all strong meta decks got a card or two tops. Most of the cards are pushing lesser archetypes which aren't refined and you wouldn't see in ladder play past rank 15 or so yet. This is why I think this expansion will shine once Standard rotates... it's laying the groundwork for next year instead of really doing anything to shake up the meta this year. The meta is too powerful due to the MSG set.

So you are saying that because of MSG being so powerful compared to this expansion, people aren't using new cards because previous options are so much stronger... that sucks but it makes sense.
At least Hunter got something new and Miracle Rogue is viable now...

From what I've seen so far, this expansion hasn't really created any new archetypes besides the minionless Hunter.
It has added a few tools for existing archetypes.
Most of my decks are the same as they were in KoTF with perhaps 3-4 new cards to each deck. And some games are over so quickly, they don't get to see any play.
Personally I'm quite happy that the powerlevel of this expansion was a bit more tame than the previous two. Powercreep is not good.
130 plus new cards released. Out of those, only an approximate of 50 cards are playable, most of which are epics and rares. In addition, the best ones are class epics and are therefore not as frequently seen. So you expect people to start playing decks that purely contain 30 cards from the newly released expansion because it's something that they haven't played and they should therefore find them fun? Wow, you have a really weird and stupid definition of fun. Have fun playing your Temporus in your dragon priest since you added it just cuz it's a new card and it's a shiny new legendary. Oh wait, you can't cuz it's another pack filler designed by blizzard to decrease the average quality of cards from packs!

Probably wont see too many "new" decks until set rotation. The top decks from before the expansion are still the top decks now, just made stronger with the addition of 1 or 2 new cards (that you may or may not see unless you play to fatigue).

'' so I made a Dragon Highlander Priest deck''
Fuck cubelock
Most of the fun tools are really expensive and the budget stuff is working pretty well.
"I made a Dragon Highlander Priest"

Ahahahahaha.
