It's a good idea and much better design but defeats the purpose of a highlander archetype as that is effect is not worth having only one copy of everything in your deck. It's the reason why Inkmaster Solia or Krul never really took off in MSG meta as a mediocre one time effect is barely worthwhile but continual value in Raza is.
Blizzard would have to remove the "if your deck contains no duplicates" part of the card in order for it to be viable at all, which would mean highlander priest could run duplicates which would be really scary (double mind blast shenanigans etc). Obviousy they would have to cut Kazakus which is one of the most powerful aspects of the deck but i think duplicates or some other package would make up for this
I think a better solution would be to simply change Shadowreaper Anduin to cant target face to remove OTK bullshit which is crippling other control decks like pally and warlock atm and would take priest back to its control orientated roots

Or making him untagetable by spells with 7/8 health? Kepping the no duplicate requirement.
You should work for Blizzard. This seems in line with their policy of taking a card and smashing it to be bits without a lot of regard for the impact its nerf would have. Another way to completely kill the card as far as the OTK combo is concerned is to make his battlecry only effect basic hero powers with the cost reduction not carrying over when the deathknight is played!

I dont even play nor face this deck and people be thinking I'm salty lol. I see people complaining and I like to suggest things whatever if they are crazy ideas or not.

I mean, if you suggest making a card into dust it makes you sound a little salty about it.

2. All nerfs proposed in this thread will make it unplayable. That's some Blizzard level nerfing, apply for a job with Team 5 while you can.

Raza priest has only two half baked counters ... agrro, and bad luck. And with enough good luck, even aggro doesn't stand a chance. It is one of the most busted decks in recent history. It gives one of the best control decks out there a near guaranteed win condition, that can be drawn by turn 8.
I have said the exact same thing as the OP before. Either Raza effect should only be active if raza is on the board, or Mindbreaker should eliminate hero powers permanently. This would put Mindbreaker in line with Skulking Geist.
And everyone thinks every nerf will make every deck "unplayable" ... which is exactly why we are constantly playing a busted game, because Team 5 is dammed if they do, and dammed if they don't. Raza priest is far from being the only deck that needs toned down, but chances are, we will be stuck with what we got until at least a month or more into K&C. In your own words, Improvise. Adapt. Overcome. Raza would still be playable ... the deck has more than enough control to keep Raza alive for a turn or two ... and it still has Velen / Mindblast combo. What it couldn't do it sit there like a bump on a log for 8 or 10 turns picking off minions, and then just vomit out every spell they have for 2-4 damage a pop.

Make Raza's effect dissapear once he is dead, like fandral. Priests should focus on keepping him alive, and the opponent on killing it. Happy ending.
sure, just as soon as you change Fandral to require there be no duplicates in the deck
in all seriousness, your proposal makes Raza a worse Voodoo Doctor/Darkscale Healer most of the time

Razakus priest doesn't need a nerf. Its a tier three deck in this meta where big druid is so popular.
I thought we moved past this.
The perfect nerf is no nerf at all. It's a tier 3 deck with a win rate below 50%, stop crying like a baby.
I think it's a pretty good nerf/rework. Just like how Maiden of the Lake works.
