Would you be interested in an expansion that worked to support older expansions and Adventures? As in, Blizzard pauses its addition of brand-new ideas for a one-off "flashback expansion" (or two, or three) that returns to stuff like:
Further supporting Death Knights, their archetypes, perhaps even DK variants (Knights of the Frozen Throne)
New Quests, Quest support-cards, more Elementals (Journey of Un'Goro)
More magical silliness, menagerie cards (One Night in Karazhan)
More Tri-Class cards, additional class-overlaps, supporting those archetypes (Mean Streets of Gadgetzan)
Expanding C'Thun support, other Old-God support, 10-mana/late-game help (Whispers of the Old Gods)
Additional Inspire/Joust effects (The Grand Tournament)
More Mechs because....shut up, I love them (Goblins vs Gnomes)
Supporting Deathrattle/death effects, more "undead" (Curse of Naxxramas)
Rotating cards from Classic or Basic, adding replacements as necessary.
I would assume this wouldn't happen all in the same "flashback/support" expansion; they be divvied up based on their collective rotation set: Naxx -> Blackrock, Whisper -> Karazhan, etc. Unless this was some kind of super-mega "we skipped the last couple expansions because of this" effort. Such flashbacks would occur some time after a rotation, to give a bone to older players and perhaps encourage newer players to give Wild a look.
Now, some of this will happen naturally anyway - more cards for specific tribes, there's always going to be more Deathrattles, etc. etc. - but this would be a concerted effort to support and expand upon older themes, give them some love and a modernized once-over. While I touched on everything, my thoughts are almost entirely focused on C'Thun, Tri-Class cards and Quests; the three that could potentially (or perhaps are likely to) never see additional support.
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
More Tri-Class cards... hmm them be fighting words ;) Jade players would rejoice!
Well maybe not Jade :P But Handbuff could use the love!

Am I allowed to bump my own thread? That seems shameless, but I posted it quite late into the night.

I would love to see they do that. I would have liked an "Battlecry: Discover a Spare Part and ad it to your hand". Or a Deathrattle that Buffs C"Thun. etc
Yes. I would like this a lot. Joust and Inspire were underrated IMO. The cards made for them mostly sucked but that doesn't mean the mechanic didn't have potential. I would be much more careful with Death Knights and quests. Blizzard had to go out of their way to make sure they would not synergize with each other and have thus put themselves in a corner for the next year and a half when it comes to design space. Tri-Class is fine as a balance tool for otherwise nuetral minions. No more Jade support though. I would like to see more C'thun and tribal support for classes that don't already have it.

I would very much like this, as well. Dragon Rogue, anyone? lol :)

You don't even need dedicated expansions.
A bunch of support cards here and there would already contribute a lot.
I'd definitely love some more Joust and Inspire cards, etc. It could hardly hurt game balance anyway.
Not more Highlander cards tho, unless we are given an efficient hard counter.
