Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.
Not another of these "Screw-Yogg"-Threads. I got f***ed by hin many times before but still use him in most of my decks. Enjoy it...How long can this go on?
I think that they nerfed it not because it was strong back then, but they were scared of things like comboing it with Shadowcaster and getting perma stealth which could in theory generate some infinite values. And card by itself was hurting design space.
I will post here an example where Yogg won the game and simply decided the outcome of an entire tournament Match, which is completely ridiculous, it's a card that should never have been allowed in Tournaments to begin with.
That's why I think, that cards like these should be only allowed in casual, because they are designed as such for pure entertainment.
In casual everyone can screw around, to do wacky stuff, to have fun... That's why I propose, thay fun cards should be a bit cheaper, they should also be buffed (in Yogg's case unnerfed), so that fun decks can be more accessable for all and that more people would want to play them. For me there isn't a big difference between ranked and casual, but with this change people will be more motivated to go there. For now only the Tavern Brawl feels as an unique mode "with different rules each week" - so why not improve the play experience in casual? Let's bring the fireworks there. We can boost the RNG and it won't bother anyone, it will serve is purpose according to the blizzard's philospohy.
You're doing it wrong. Yogg is a last-ditch effort hail mary that you should only use when your opponent has a demanding lead and complete control of the board and there's absolutely no other way for you to win or get back into the game. In these situations where I've seen Yogg played, he'll at least stabilize the board and get you back into the game about 66% of the time. Occasionally he'll outright win you the game on the spot, but since his nerf that's not really what he's meant to do.
That being said, if you play a class that can consistently clear the board in literally any other way, it's going to be an infinitely better option for you to use that over Yogg.
Was clearly OP... Or was it made that it made design space OP? Or is nerfing just as RNG as YOGG? He'd probably approve. But does the quantity of cards nerfed reflect the number of spells cast?
yogg wins you the game

Don't tell me what to do. I love yogg. Even if he backfires.
How about you uninstall
Yogg was one of those cards that could get a lot of things done for you. Eg. winning an unwinnable game.
It got nerfed so hes worse. Thats all. But it used to be a tech card. A tech card against a sure loss.
BOW DOWN BEFORE THE GOD OF RNG.
UNNERF OUR GOD OF DEATH!
BLIZZ SHOULD NOT NERF GODS!
Wild Paladin fun

Yogg-Saron is the best 10 mana, 1,600 dust concede button ever! It might even make your opponent press concede instead!
this thread is blasphemy.

There's nothing constructive to discuss here.
