played against a mage and got her down to 1 hp. She drops a Baron Geddon and "kills herself" followed by a heal for 8. I understand that elementals have life steal but shouldn't the game be over if you are brought to negative hp. Cause it's dmg then heal not the other way around. Does that same thing work for like Life steal weapons? It just feels like a strange interaction.
Because Baron Geddon does damage and heals at the same time, killing yourself doesn't count because the damage and heal cancel each other out, even if it shows negative life. I've "killed myself" several times with him. pretty much won all of those games too. If I can get Frost lich off before my ice block pops it's pretty much game over lol. The best one I dropped took me from 3 life to 25 and wiped most of my opponent's board. GG bro
Yep, if you go below 0 health with a lifesteal effect that heals you above 0, you survive the turn. Uther's weapon also works that way, I tried to forfeit by killing myself once while I had that weapon, got down to -2 hp, then healed back up to 3 and didn't die.
It's also the same with Kazakus potions that have the AoE and give mionons health effect. The AoE reduces the health below zero and the extra health brings them back up and after the cast is finished they live

Lifesteal applies after damage, but the game is jank and doesn't check a loss until after the heal is applied. It's very silly, but that's how it is.
