I can't possibly be the only one whose deck slots are always full. I basically run 1 of each deck 1 for standard and 1 for wild. My issue is when I want to test new stuff/build heroic adventure decks. I know the innkeeper app can help with this but I really dont enjoy using it as I'd have to do so many in-between steps just to test a deck that might not even work...
Why would they not do this? Is there a technical reason to why they can't? I wantz me deck space!
There's 18 slots. You don't need that many decks. Erase something. If you play tournaments, you have to erase all but 4 anyway. You don't need 18 decks. That's ridiculous. If you like them, write them down and rebuild later.
I do need them all. I want to play each class in each format, and I swap between them regularly. And no I don't play tourneys. Just bc you only use a few decks doesn't mean the rest does the same.
Let's start a petition/vote! I'm sure a lots of us would be super-happy to have some more slots!
Imo Blizz thought that the issue will die with the additional 9 slots but I and many others would really like to have more as in ANY other online ccg! (And moreover it is really frustrating that there is no communication of the reason of the restriction.)

Also, you can save your favorite decks in a file with the new deck implementation system and just copy paste them whenever you need to play one of them. I have an excel file with all the quest decks i may need and i have created (overload cards, pirate cards, murlocs etc etc). Its literally just two more clicks than having a third page..
There are 9 Classes and 2 Modes (Standard & Wild) in the game. So if you are not just gonna grind the same 2 tier 1 decks for every mode, but try to experiment with every class in both modes 18 slots fill pretty fast. That's not even taking into account that for most classes there are several different archetypes (Murloc, Token, N'Zoth, Secret Paladin just to name a few). Filling 18, 27 or even 50 deck slot should not be a problem. However I don't see it that much of a priority as with the import feature there are ways to work around that.
As wacky1215 said deleting decks for tournaments is way more annoying. Having a tournament mode in HS would be way more interesting.
Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.
honestly. I could use another 9. I always end up capping out due the fact i playtest dozens of different ideas and some ideas are works in progress or just fun so i don't want to delete them. I end up having to delete something i like which kinda sucks or i'm constantly deleting 3 and making 3 and deleting 3 so its annoying.
Just make use of the function that Blizzard has blessed us with and use the copy feature to put your decks into a txt-file. That way you can theoretically have an infinite amount of decks. >_>
I'll certainly make use of that ... if I ever have more than 2-4 decks at a time.^^
Extra features harm no one, they only add value to the game. If they can satisfy a section of their players base by simply adding a few deck slots its completely worth it, no one should have an objection to.
Personally I want them to add slots and keep them sorted by class. There are just too many different decks one can play in both Standard and Wild with a single class. They've worked hard to enable multiple archetypes. A little effort is needed to to erase the hassle of forging the decks and playing them. Also, the number is only going to keep increasing.
I hope they increase the number of slots, i'm a moody person and don't want to waste time forging decks remembering the tech cards everytime :/
There's some charm in having some old deck with a wacky name gather dust in a corner and taking it out for a spin years later and go "wth was i thinking?"
Once deleted it's gone, no way you'll remember the exact cards. And if you write it up and remake it, it still doesn't feel the same as if it had been untouched for a long time.
Unless you're playing Hearthstone 24/7, and even then it's a stretch, you aren't playing all 18 decks regularly. Trying every viable deck without deleting any is an overly-meticulous habit, but if you really have to, you can just copy and paste decks to save them instead.
Extra features harm no one, they only add value to the game.
That is absolutely untrue.
If it's a feature that 90 percent of the players will never need or use, it takes away from limited development time for UI improvements that are needed and have been requested by many players for a very long time. Things like auto-squelch, for example.
In that way, largely unwanted features harm a majority of players, while (by definition) adding negligible value.

I somewhat agree with your logic but it's only an assumption. if the reality is that if they'll be spending an absurd amount of time for such a minor improvement so as to cut into the development time of other essential updates, then the problem lies elsewhere. They need a bigger team to be able to dish out faster patches and add more features to their product.
You also said "If it's a feature that 90 percent of the players will never need or use" where I think the keyword is 'If'. So here's the catch- it depends on marginal benefit. even if we consider 90% of the players don't want the feature it still beneficial to provide it if the cost of providing the feature is less than the return they get by adding it. Unfortunately I don't know whether the return can be measured. Bottom line being they can provide the feature and it will still be beneficial even if a majority of the player base doesn't want it
A lot of people are forgetting that not everyone plays HS on pc, making the copy paste feature and innkeeper prettuly obsolete for those on, let's say: phone for example.
I still haven't heard the technical reason as to why they don't use this. I mean as in if it were to force them to make gigantic deck storing databases or some shit I'd understand but as it currently stands it seems like a very simple feature that could aid the hardcore players or experimenting pkayers.

If you save the string in a text file, the string itself is typically 1-2 kB -- or 4 kB due to cluster size.
If they implemented 9 decks per class (81 decks), and cluster size was set to 64 kB, it's safe to assume each player would consume no more than 192 kB of server space for their decks.
192 kB * 70 million players = 13.440 TB, which costs about $3500. There's no way it's about money.

Players who want more deckslots have lots of decks.
Players who have lots of decks have lots of cards.
Players who have lots of decks/cards have spent a lot of time and/or money on the game.
Players wanting this feature logically comprise a significant portion of the time & money being spent on the game.

This.
It also has to be noted that EVERY other online ccg can make space for far more decks than Hearthstone. Nuff said...

Doesn't the copy and paste decks function mean this is unnecessary? Just store them in text files somewhere

I gotta agree with wacky here. There's no way you're playing all 18 decks with any regularity.
Importing decks is ridiculously easy, and if you're that dedicated to your deck catalogue, you should probably be saving their strings anyway.

I want nine pages -- one for each hero.
As it stands, there's only enough room for two decks per class.
But each class has more than one viable deck
And each of those has multiple variants.
And then there's Wild.
And then there's Casual.
And then there's "friendly" decks.
For some of us, 18 slots still isn't enough.
They should make it an option that's off by default. If you don't like it or find it confusing, don't enable it. Seems simple enough, right?
EDIT: Don't forget to consider mobile platforms where copy/pasting and exporting aren't quite so simple as with a computer.
