From my perspective, Golden cards are neat but not worth crafting: for someone with relatively-low access to Dust, the cost is beyond-prohibitive. I could craft one Golden Legend, or two regular Legends! Conversely, Golden cards are a valuable source of Dust: a Golden epic is worth another epic of my choice; a Golden Legend is worth a Legendary of my choice. I would never burn a Golden card that I need - like my only copy of Doppelgangster, or my second Tol'vir Stoneshaper - but if the card sucks, or I have two regular copies already, then Hell Yeah that card's going in the grinder. I could burn a non-Golden rare for 20 Dust, or a Golden rare for 100; the choice seems obvious to me. Whether or not a Golden card looks cool doesn't matter to me in the slightest; I really only look at them in a pragmatic sense. If it happens to line up such-that I'm playing a Golden card that looks cool, then, well...bonus.
This thread exists partly because I just pulled a Golden Kidnapper, and I'm considering burning the card despite it being my only copy. Yeah I don't have any other Kidnapper cards, but...he's kinda crappy. I'm curious where people stand on Golden cards, and what they might do in my situation (weighing whatever value someone places on a Golden card versus the potential Dust it could generate).
I bet my thoughts on the subject might change if I actually pulled a Golden Legendary I liked. The only one I've ever received was a Golden Nozdormu, which I promptly turned into Fire Plume's Heart.
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
DE all gold legendaries unless it is one you need. DE every epic regardless, DE all Rares regardless, Keep commons if you manage to pull 2 of the same golden variant otherwise DE.
If you are not a golden collector, do not bother collecting them
disenchant f i already have the maximum regular copies of the card. 3 golden millhouse manastorms i've opened in my playtime have become really good legendaries, is till keep my regular millhouse around.
If the card is good and I need it, I'll just disenchant the golden one and make a normal version. I don't care about golden cards at all, every time I get one, it's just dust for another card.
I have a tendency to keep a golden card if it looks amazing. If I would be lucky enough to get one I wouldn't disenchant a golden Sindragosa or Lich King.
It helps that they also generate more cards :)
A friend of mine crafted a Golden version of Unite the Murlocs specifically because it would fill his hand with Gold.

They are the equivalent of holographic or shiny cards from other TCGs, though here they have the added benefit of being and to be DE'd for enough dust to craft any other non-golden card of the same rarity. For me, if I have 2 normal copies and need the dust, it's getting DE'd.
I keep them if I get them and only DE them if I badly need the dust - I like them, just don't worry about them too much. I do craft one golden for each expansion that I really like the look of on release day - Lich King this time, Elise last time, first one I ever did it for was Sludge Belcher.
Also, i particularly despise those who spend their resources to craft golden decks.
Why's that, if I may ask? :)
The way I see it, it means that they are either dedicated to a single deck/class or ... well, they have tons of money. xD So, if you say you despise those people, it sounds like you either don't respect other people's opinions regarding aesthetics or are just jealous, respectively.^^
Can't understand the hate for golden cards. I love them. They remind me of the ultimate rarities from Yu Gi Oh back in the days.
I like to craft golden legendaries, since they have the best golden dust cost/normal dust cost quotient in comparision to other rarities.
This expansion I crafted golden The Lich King and golden Uther of the Ebon Blade. I prefer golden legendaries which create other golden cards like these two, or which have really nice effects and art, like golden Alexstrasza
So overall: I keep all golden cards and craft golden legendaries if I really like them.
If it's a low rarity card like common or rare, I'll keep a golden copy because the dust gain doesn't really matter that much and gold cards are cool. If it's an epic/legend and I already have a copy, it's definitely getting dusted unless I have a really good reason not to dust it
Just curious.

Always disenchanting them, except if they are good and I don't have a normal copy. :)
Always disenchant unless I have a copy and the card isn't absolute trash.

I want to have a full golden deck for my main heroes, so I keep them all because I'm not a F2P user.

dust ... plain and simple.
Haven't reached the point where aesthetics matter to me in the game one bit.
I wanna glide down, over Mulholland
I wanna write her, name in the sky
I wanna free fall, out into nothin'
Gonna leave this, world for awhile
I like card arts, but that's it.
Some goldens are cool, but i don't really care. The plain art is more important, if cool.
Also, i particularly despise those who spend their resources to craft golden decks.
If I need dust, goldens are the first to "go into the grinder"
I'm making entire golden decks. I craft every good card on day one so there is nothing left to do :P
I only keep cards that generate something i have golden Elise,Hadranox,Nzoth

As (mostly) f2p i disenchant the golden copys of duplicates first. The 400 dust from mediocre or bad epics is mostly appreciated :)
Golden Heroes:
Warlock
Druid
Warrior

OHHHH, GOOOLDEEEN
