I doubt I'll ever hit legend; I'm way too averse to grinding. After I've played 5 games with a deck, I want to play a different deck. My monthly goal is rank 15 and I usually achieve that.
Thumbs up. I'm the exact same way. If I ever hit legend it'll be because my wife and kids are on vacation for a month and I have somehow sustained injuries to my body that limit my physical abilities to playing hearthstone.
Hearthstone is fun. To me, grinding for legend sounds like torture.
I would like to hit it at least once but can't/won't commit the time to do so. Golden Heroes and having fun are the more important things for me. I usually grind to Rank 10 then perhaps 5 if I get on a win streak beyond that. Otherwise not worth the time for me.
I really wanted to reach it. But since i've done it- all i care about is fun. So i'll try fun decks and don't care about my rank at all and have a better game experience than ever! The internal pressure is gone so idm losing at all, i chat with my opponents if there were funny or lucky moments and just enjoy playing. I still reach Rank 5 or better when i have enough time to play and that with no tilt at all :)
It's such a grind, you need to play a lot of games(even with decent winrate), and I think that Hearthstone is best enjoyed in small doses. Might try to get it sometime in the future.
Playing HS since Beta and I reached legend about 8-10 Times. The first time was a real struggle but it got easier with every time I did it - also now that you can't drop below rank 5 it got easier as well.
I often climb to Rank 5 easely and from time to time I feel the urge to reach legend again and keep grinding. Also depends on the meta, sometimes it's very easy to craft your own deck which is strong against most of the matchups you play, other times it's extremely difficult. This season for example i tried many decks (Midrange Palain, Jade Druide, Freeze Mage, Evolve Shaman until I found out that Taunt Warrior is doing very well right now and got to legend with a very good Winrate.
Legend has a mean from a collectionist point of view because of the unique card back. Otherwise is just a heavy grind that is not anymore an indicator of skill.
I really hope that the rework they've announced for Ladders will hit soon.
I would love to reach legend. I'd feel validated as a legitimately good Hearthstone player if I could get it. Closest I've made it has been rank 3.
Not that important to me because you can obtain anytime so no rush

Not important enough that I'll netdeck - the hearthstone equivalent of Melania Trump writing a speech

Haven't reached legend yet.

I never bothered to try, so I guess not too important.
i've reached legend many times, but my monthly goal is always rank 5 for chest reward
for the card back only, and only once
i never hit legend, rank 1 max, but this season i reach rank 1 peak and now still struggle at rank 2

Don't care about legend or even ranked for that matter. Casual FTW.

For me as a competitive person it was my main goal than after reaching it the game became more relax because I felt I did it !
If you are very competitive you will hunt for it. some people just don't care.
and yes you will need time, lots of it and be "cool" losing as happy to win.
Don't take loses personally, learn from every lose.
Just me.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
