I've used amazon coins before. The actual transactions have been smooth, but one janky thing with the system is that you still need to pay tax with coins (where I live, there's tax on in-app purchases. disregard this part if there aren't where you are) so you need to buy slightly more coins than you'd expect. You still save money overall, just less than it seems like.
As for the preorder, you can use amazon coins to preorder the next expansion after they patch it into the ingame store. If they never do this, like with Gadgetzan, you won't be able to use coins for the purchase because the option to preorder won't be available through the app.
If they put the pre-order in i'll buy the preorder otherwise i'll probably put 120 packs or so into the new expansion and split the rest with whatever I need must
As far as i remember you can use the coins on everything. When you choose the buy option, a dialogue box with 3 choices comes up, one for paypal, one for coins and one for credit. The question is this: how good is Blizzard when it comes to keeping the app updated?
I remember when i used this for the Grand Tournament expansion and that pre-order wasnt available until 2 weeks before the expansion launch. I bought packs and never received them in my account and was refunded coins after a couple days. Afterwards, the packs were added AND i had an extra 5000 coins so i bought a few pack bundles on top, which was nice.
Its a very valid question to post to a blue on the Hstone website if you have the time and patience, because i know the functionality of the whole process is really janky and i don't think i would personally do it again (and i havent now for a couple years).
I am currently in Germany and2 days ago the prices for amazon coins were high. For 10k coins which is enough for the preorder + 40 packs was 80+ Euro, I checked again yesterday and it dropped to 71 Euro. And I bought the coins and now I am waiting for the preorder and I will keep the rest for the expansion.
The transaction itself is very simple. You just have to give your account data and password and you got it. The only problem is that sometimes you might get charged or you will get an email that you got the coins but nothing happened. Then just contact the amazon support to cancel the transaction and try again. The 350 bucks deal is the best deal btw.
For Amazon US customers, the price last week was $40 USD for 5k coins, now it's $45.5! If you plan to buy Amazon coins, you might want to do so on July 10th because it's Prime Day and there's a chance Amazon Prime users will see discounts or promotions for Amazon coins. And yes, you will be able to use Amazon coins to pre-purchase. Source.
If it's Prime day it won't have any discount for Australian's, The pricing has just changed yet again went from 30% discount to 25%. I'll buy the coins as soon as the pre-order becomes available or the price changes again.
From last I read, you aren't able to preorder quite yet from Amazon Coins. Blizzard sent a tweet that they are going to have to patch it before they can do it. So, yes, you will be able to preorder, just not at the current moment. So, in my opinion, absolutely go for Amazon Coins and keep checking frequently to for when you are able to preorder with them.
So amazon have a deal with Amazon coins which is basically $350 for $500 of coins.
I'm fine with that as I love hearthstone and want to be able to play pretty much everything without waiting 3 weeks to craft a single card I want.
I'm just having trouble feeling it as Amazon Australia doesn't explain much. So has anyone used amazon coins before and if so how smooth was it?
I usually buy the pre-order for the card back and bonus cards but yeah, Not sure what to do. It's essentially a small holiday.
I can buy 7 sets of 40 packs with the amazon coins deal plus like 13 random packs in whichever set I need most.
I wonder if you can use amazon coins to pre-order the expansion or whether it's elusive to the website.
any help appreciated
