Who else is tired of people roping every turn even though their play seems fairly obvious? I am and I play HS since beta. Personally I do not have to think a lot what I should do on a turn even though i mostly play control decks.
How about blizzard would implement a fast paced mode? Only people who enable it face eachother.
The fast paced mode would include: - Turns are only 30 seconds long
- you get 3 tokens to use when you want to extend a turn to 75 seconds.
You can do that right now. All you need to do is get some friends to play with and play with a speed rule. No need to inflict this silliness on the rest of us.

The games I play vs people that are inordinately slow are so few and far between that it's a complete non-issue to me. I like having the time to think through my turns when I need it, and I don't mind my opponents doing the same.

Thoughts. improvements?
I'd restrict tokens to only be able to be used after turn 2, and they just add 30 secs or something like that. But as of turn 6 or later, you should put 60 secs on the base timer.

It's not that hard: control wins aggro and loses to midrange. Combo should never be included in this equation.
I'm a banana. Bananas don't speak English. Please, do correct any grammar mistakes I make, even the most minor and insignificant ones.

I'm bringing this up again, cause I've seen a lot of streamers who also seem to be annoyed by oponents who take so much time (I guess it's due to streamsniping in this case). What do you guys think?
Roping is pretty annoying and pretty common the higher up the ladder you go. A mode like this would be great but only if they fix the "Nozdormu" issues where animations or too many steps can screw up opponent turns. Also cards like auctioneer, Lyra, Toni and Anduin would be unplayable, which is another issue
Perhaps give the players +5-15s for each card/hero power they play that turn? It's not really roping when they're using their full turn to play out many cards. This is something that would add to normal modes too
I tend to stick to decks I'm familiar and comfortable with so most of the time I play fairly quickly as well however in later turns I appreciate time to think and especially when there are complicated situations that could lead to lethal or clear the board so no I'm not for a fast paced mode. If you notice people taking a lot of time during let's say the first 5 turns then the best medicine is to rope them for a turn or two, until now I have a 100% hit rate that they immediately start to play all their cards at once and pass the turn on to me lol

This is what Ben Brode said in a recent PCGamer interview:
"Will you ever implement a speed version of Hearthstone where the rope starts burning immediately?"
"Yes."
Just don't get too excited, I don't assume it would be coming any time soon. And it might just be a Tavern Brawl or something.
I would like a fast-paced mode actually.
I would love it. I thought about that myself as well. Usually, i like to Play quick and leave the game during my opponents turn, because i get bored.
I don't know about this, turn 1 with an empty board sure is hard...
I was thinking about the exact same thing yesterday while playing.

Nah. If I'm not in the mood for slow games I just play a faster deck.

I would like that.
Forget the tokens, and just lower the time. The long timer is the single largest problem in the game. This ain't chess, people.
I'd prefer if the turn timer was reduced, but extra unspent time instead goes into an overtime pool that you can utilize later on.
That reduces the rope time on average, but at the same time doesn't completely kill off Combo decks.
It also incentivizes people to play faster on earlier/easy turns.

30 secs until t6, 60 seconds afterwards or "tokens".
No. Should be 10 seconds instead of 30, and no tokens.
