I don't know if this was already asked but does this first 10 packs guaranteed legendary rule include all of the sets or only the sets that will appear from now on?
Example: If I open 10 classic packs afther that patch will I get guaranteed legendary in those 10 first packs? Or it is just included for new expansions or packs I still didn't open at all?
This is not very important change for me. I never open too many expansion packs to get duplicate legendaries and usually simply craft cards I needed. And it will not save me from trash legendaries from Classic set at all. It's only relevant for whales/collectors, so whatever.
How do you get dust if you dont open many packs? And if you have ever crafted a Legendary only to open it 3 days later you will know this is a welcome change for f2p players.

I would imagine if you started a new account and bought 10 packs from each expansion you would get a Leg from each 10.
This will not count for established accounts though.
Perfect, finally the statement from Ben Brode nearly two years ago "we have all the advantages of a digital card game" starts to take hold duplicates can finally be programmed out.
The changes to legendary drops work with packs, but I am one of the players who didn't bother buying the starter bundle because I had 6/9 of the classic class legendaries and thought it wasn't worth the risk.
My question then is if anyone knows if the free class legendary given will also be one that I don't own seeing as this is handled differently from the way that packs are done?
Great question. Also, does recieving that legendary reset your pity timer since you don't actually open it?
Pretty sure the legendary never reset your pity timer seeing as it was always handled separately from actual packs. Questions still stands if the developers decide to make this work the same way. I think I would treat myself to the packs if it did :D
I'd think their sales would go bonkers if they'd just loosen up the pity timer in general, 40 packs is soooo stingy. Like if it was "you're going to get a legendary every 15 packs, done deal." Even if I get the whole 50 packs with the bonus an whatever, I still get MAYBE 3 legendaries. That's super weak.
I don't have anything against the changes, they're good, but they're a half measure.
Each duplicate legendary costs you approximately $14, or 12 packs. I've opened like three duplicate legends, so I'd say this change will save me about $40/year once implemented.
A duplicate legend costs you 1200 dust. Each pack averages 100 dust, approx, so a duplicate legend costs you about 12 packs. 12 packs, at the minimum price of $1.167, is about $14. That is, to me, the real cost of a duplicate legend--approx. $14.

I don't get dust because I have dust already. First I buy expansion packs until pity timer proc, then d/e duplicates, craft essentials, then don't buy this set anymore. For F2P players - you will never open too many packs to really suffer from duplicates. It's rich people problem.
Just cracked my first legendary after months being dry and it was one I crafted 2 months ago...
Finally, us f2ps have some respect even though I am planning to buy that welcome bundle for the amazing offer
Yeah exactly because of the low number of awesome legendaries, this change is definitely welcomed.

I think they are speaking about new sets that will appear from now on.

Hoo Bloomin Hooray !

I got three tarims and two Princess Hurara so yeah I definitely think the no duplicates things is very good.
So if we save brawl packs until the new expansion , does the new rules still apply ?
Im unclear about the upcoming pack changes and people telling you to hold onto packs.
When the next expac drops, will there be a legendary in:
A)the first 10 packs of any type you open
B)the first 10 packs of the next expac specifically
C)the first 10 packs of each pack type (classic, gnomes etc?) that there is
Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this!

Oh ok so since I currently own 0 legendaries, I shouldn't hesitate to open my stored packs until I hit at least 1 legendary?

D) the first 10 packs of the future expansions.
The reason people tell you to hold onto packs is because we won't get any duplicate legendary after the next expansion.
