We all knew blizzard screwed WOW and made players feels like quiting . What do u think blizzard should do to keep the New/Old players happy ?
This is what i felt
The current state of the game is boring . All the developer focus on money making Expansion after expansion , Bravo to the developer that designed Brawl and releasing on June 17, 2015 . Now after 2 years we haven't seen any new non-payment interesting concept like Brawl .
What made me feel as an paying customer is that Once Blizzard game is successful or stable enough to make money they will cut staff and focus on new blizzard product in development
HS, like many others TGC, will refresh itself from expansion to expansion with new mechanics. Additional game modes may come in the future but what it's truly needed is a rework of the Ladder. Other than that the game can still running litteraly forever.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
Blizzard is a huge company with lots of experience, they probably have tons of ideas which they will slowly implement over the following years to keep the cash cow healthy. Taken the simple mechanics which have its limitations into the account, i give it about 5-7 more years before it slowly starts fading into oblivion.
Yes blizzard is a large game company but Longer ?? With 2 years to increase deck slots when many players had voiced their opinion on increasing deck slot
HS will be dead except Blizzard will drastically change their prices/expansion structure/reward model. That worked 2 years ago when HS had a monopoly on CCG market will never work anymore with a bunch of new competitiors on the market. They offer much more quality for much less money then 'small indie company'. It will not be completely dead though because Blizzard has army of fanboys, some people are even playing Diablo 3, for example. So I'd say it will be like D3.
Blizzard publishes a quarterly report - predictably - every three months. HS has set virtually every record for any Blizzard game with respect to growth, with each expansion and adventure out-selling its predecessor by over 20%. The reports can be googled for anyone who is interested. It seems unlikely that the game will be dead "in a few years." It is intended to be the company's evergreen mobile game. FWIW - community members on this site, and the HS subreddit, have been predicting the imminent demise of the game since the open beta. It seems likely that some community members will still be predicting the imminent demise of the game ten years from now - it's been a favourite past-time for plenty of WoW players since Cataclysm.

that's what everyone said about WoW and it's still the most successful mmorpg there is. there have been dozens of "new competitors" on the mmorpg market, but even after lots of years not a single one has succeded in succeding wow as the most played mmorpg, even though some of those competitors might offer "more", "better", "fairer" or "more innovative" features than wow...
just look at all the other mmorpgs that claimed to be "the future". almost all of them had to switch their subscription system to f2p/p2w after a few years to survive. while wow certainly lost some market shares over the years the game still exists and as far as i know is uncontested in player numbers
nope, i don't thhink so, as long as people can play while taking a dump the game will be successful, which unfortunately means more aggro but they're finally realizing that aggro decks can be something more interesting than just stack charge minions which can lead to them finally nerfing charge to not be able toa ttack heroes the turn the minion is played and leave it more as a removal tool, token shamman and Druid prove it.

This.
The CCG market is dominated by a single, enormous brand - MtG - which allows very little room for competitors to thrive. Some do. But for every Pokemon, there are dozens of Spellfires, L5Rs, Chaotics and Hecatombs. It seems quite likely that digital CCGs will be no different - Hex, Faeria, Gwent, Duelist, Shadowverse, and all the rest are competing with each other, and HS, for a small share of a niche market. Some will undoubtedly survive, while the majority won't. It seems like a safe bet that HS will belong to the former group, rather than the latter - the game made $400 million last year.

It's most successful only because no one is playing MMORPG anymore. One of the reasons was raise of MOBA genre.
Modern WoW is complete garbage imho. They made it completely casual just to make it more accessible for bigger audience. But it's not fun since WotLK.
It's a bad comparison (with MMORPGs) anyway, because target audience is completely different.
Games are in the business of entertainment. A successful business must continually evolve to the market or it will die. It's been like that forever, and examples of once-giant companies crashing for failure to innovate are littered throughout history.
Blizzard isn't stupid. They know they are sitting on a cash cow, and they know they must always be working to make it better to succeed. "Whether Hearhstone is around in two years" depends on the quality of the developments compared to advancements in other entertainment business competition. My money says Hearthstone will be around for a while yet.

Diablo 3 is 'alive' too. Does it matter? No.
Candy Crush Saga is making $500 millions every three months. Is it good game? No.
Hearthstone place in future is inbetween these two games.

This may be a shock to you but the majority of people who play this game really enjoy it. You're in the minority of the salty players who play this game. Good luck with your journeys.
Most likely. I just can't see Hearthstone exist in 2025.
I actually can. Many people complain about staleness, and i guess a lot of them will leave HS for another game. But there are many more who play it casually and don't mind playing one deck for months until the next expansion comes out . Also cardgames have a big comeback potential since you don't need super sharp reflexes, so when ppl get older they might look for something chill .
There have always been folks playing in pubs , it will be normal that some will do it online, HS has definitely the potential to be around a long time.

1. Playing one deck for months is not what CCG about. It's about deckbuilding, experimenting, playing various cards and strategies. And hearthstone has problems with it. First of all, deckbuilding is very limited by card effects. There are simply not enough good and interesting cards in the game, new sets consist mostly from arena trash. Second, even several viable decks is behind the paywall, besause Time/Money ratio for F2P players is ridiculously low. Third of all, balance issues. It's simply not fun to play when outcome of the game depends on 90% of match-up, 9% of RNG and 1% of skill. Yes, RNG is fourth issue. So Hearthstone in current state is morelike CCG surrogate, rather CCG itself.
2. The more older people become the more less they want to play the game with Hydrologist, Kara Kazham! and Tortollan Primalist, obviously appropriate more for 5-9 years old kids.
As I said earlier, it will survive, but not in the way we liked it in the past. It will more like mobile casual money-grabber, then real CCG.

WoW was successful back when it was good and people were playing the genre, and it had competitors even then.

Blizzard will do literally anything in their power to keep hurtstone relevant for as long as possible, or until a new cash cow game pops up
