I've been playing since release and if you think this is the worst state the game has been in you're either a new player or were one of those undertaker hunters from Naxx.
I've played since beta. And I didn't even notice the undertaker dominance, mainly because it wasn't present at 20-15.
My only regret is that Warlock has no viable archetypes except a weak zoo/discard deck. There is very little synergy in their cards other than the discard mechanic and it is just not very reliable. It's normally a really fun class, but right now, its frustrating trying to find workable decks.
Hunter is viable but very one note in its decks. It almost always has this problem but there was a time when you could make a halfway workable control hunter. Right now there is basically one hunter deck with a range of variation in cards but not play style.
Everything else is pretty groovy in my book. I like the wide range of diverse deck types and strategies. I'd moan about the many forms of agro, but I'm frankly used to that aspect of Hearthstone.

Biggest let down is that they keep promoting uninteractive gameplay (Caverns Below, Shadowstep) and they are not doing anything with cards that limit design space and fun at the same time (Jade Idol, Ice Block, Brawl)
I have to say I like this game state a lot more than a lot of the previous ones. I was just surprised at how Warlock is the least viable class in the game right now...I never thought I would have seen the day when that class stopped seeing play. I mean, the Devilsaur Egg-Ravenous Pterrordax combo certainly has its strengths in Zoolock and Humongous Razorleaf was pretty good in Handlock, but I guess the rotation of Power Overwhelming proved too much of a hard hit to Warlock - not to mention Reno Jackson.
but I guess the rotation of Power Overwhelming proved too much of a hard hit to Warlock...
Only proves how much OP this card is, without this warlock is doomed, warlock have terrible spells, we don't see that clearly because PO + hero power for draw engine + neutral good healing resolve the class weakness, it is not the case anymore in standard.

And to make matters worse, Quest Rogue and Zoo Druid are beating Zoolock at their own game. When it comes down to the spells, I'd say it's less that Warlock has bad spells and more like the good spells Warlock did have turned bad as a result of collateral damage from PO's removal (more specifically, Shadowflame).

Really? Undertaker hunter was 25% of the played decks back then, I was new so I didn't face it too much but according to data it was the msot overplayed deck since relese (data released 4 months ago, don't think there is one dominating deck in unguru meta)
What? Are we really comparing cards with including? Can you show me the games that "changed the winner" because of Azure Drake? Azure Drake was a GOOD card because not all the classes have a good card draw and spell damage bonus that not slowes you down. Now we have ONLY one card in the ENTIRE GAME that don't slove you down and gives spell damage, and that's a freaking legendary. Well guess what? Not all the players have a Bloodmage thalnos. A f2p player can't afford a leg like thalnos, there is more important legs to craft first.

Ive just come back to the game and haven't played since start of old gods.
This expansion seems to just have crazy rng swings which are just impossible to play around, i feel like half my games are just random single player games where im just playing anything and hoping he didnt get some crazy rng spell.
ive lost 2 games tonight from mages getting pyro from babbling book, one game mage pyrod me 3 times and all of them were randomly generated, lost a game to a paladin getting 2 sunkeepers from the stonehill. some rogue and priest decks just generate endless rng spells that you cant play around ever.
Hlf the games i just end up smorcing as trying to use any kind of strategy is pointless.
It really seems they went a bit too far with the discovery mechanic.
My main disappointment is probably the quest mechanic. It's just not strong enough to actually compete. No quest deck is tier 1. Taunt warrior is solid, but quest rogue just doesn't mesh with the meta well. I also think that a few too many quests are just bad. Hunter, warlock, paladin, shaman, and even priest were all somewhat disappointing at a minimum. I pulled the hunter and shaman quests gold, and despite my best efforts, they are actually terrible. Both seem good, but they just need something else to work with to actually be good. I hope the next set gives some love to the weaker quests, or classes for that matter. It's honestly the healthiest meta we have had for a while now, and I kind of love it

No new music with the expanision, plus a recycled sound effect for successfully achieving your quest.
I felt they should have made more effort here.
that not all quests ended being heavily played, and that many class legendaries were useless
As others have said, quest rogue biggest disappointment. Causes needless distortion of meta towards hyper-aggressive decks.

Make the Card: The biggest thread on the site!
My mandibles which are capable of pressing down and tearing, my talons which are known to intercept and hold.
Thanks for the deck, I'll check it out!
Warlock need a spell like Tracking but trigger the effect of Clutchmother Zavas and Silverware Golem, with that warlock have a least one viable deck.

The biggest let down for me was that they once again put in a hard counter to control via quest rogue.
Granted, people would just play jade druid if there wasn't quest rogue because its the same stupid meta limiting bullshit.
