Even if you don't like netdecking, you should know the common deck builds that your opponents are running. Knowing if Hex has fallen out of favor will greatly affect the odds of your wincon being removed.
My advice at first is to pick one and stick with it. All decks have a good chance to work, but you will not become good if you keep swapping.
I usually play around 20-30 games before I decide if a deck works or not. Quest warrior, Elemental Shaman, Midrange Hunter and Plant Rogue are all proven decks to work with. Elemental Mage is a 50-50, play it if you feel confident with it.
Quest Shaman, Quest Priest and Quest Hunter are not that good of a deck to play with, it is not consistent enough (yet). Quest Druid is garbage tier, don't play it.
i agree with quest druid, in a better card pool and better 5+ option world it would work, im starting believe in the failings of quest hunter. I still have slight hopes for murloc quest and priest quest , but like you said YET
Your homebrew deck is probably better to get higher ranks. If you are playing a netdeck, then good players know what card you are going to play each turn, so you have to be really good to beat them.
I've been playing a healing pally, just because most people don't know which card is coming each turn. I can tell by the way some people play, that some people know what's coming, but the majority of people make misplays, due to not knowing.
It's the pally deck that was on this website. I definitely didn't create it. The only thing that has beaten it consistently is quest rogue. They complete the quest by turn 5 every time i play them. /shrug

There are 3 kinds of people in the world. Those that can count and those that can't.
I sometimes still get stuck at 15 myself. What helps me a lot is having 1 aggressive and 1 slower deck to play, generally playing the fast one to climb, then going slow whenever you hit a wall.
Eventually, having a wild deck to play or something for casual when you get sick of your main deck.
Its not how well you know your own deck. You need yo understand what cards your opponent is likely to play at each scenario of the game. Watch youtubers playing popular decks because you will see thise same decks. All about knowledge if u cant get passed 15
highest i ever achieved was rank 4 last year, but nowadays i only aim 15 haaha.. decided not to play meta decks anymore and just chill and have fun. Don't wanna be a sheep but oh well to each it's own =p 15 is fine~ just dont take it too seriously as it's just a game at the end of the day.
I'll suggest you watch some streams at twitch, and try to pick the ones that explains what they are doing. I don't know that many educational HS streams, but maybe check out superjj and rdu - I think they explain what they are doing pretty good.
I followed your advice and found that superjj has switched to Gwent, but RDU is still at HS.
Find a good streamer on twitch or youtube who plays the same/similar deck to you, preferably someone who explains what they are thinking and why they play any particular card, and think about which cards you would play. Once you see what they would do, try to decide why they play a particular card, hold a particular card, keep or throw away certain cards in the mulligan, etc instead of what you would have done.
Also just stick with one deck. Figure out how to play against each other class and really get good at that one class before trying to move on to something else. If you just try out each deck for a few games then switch over to something else, especially a net deck, you won't understand all the cards and how they work together or how they interact with other common meta decks.
If you cannot get past rank 15, I wil assume that you are relatively new to the game. Then I suggest you not to go after ranks but gold. Build a fast deck. It doesn't need to be stable. Go to casual play. If you like your mulligan, play. If not, concede. Do the quests and earn 100 gold from 30 wins. That will get you 150 gold/day. When you do this, you will also learn your deck. You will learn what to change to defeat quicker. AND you will have gold to buy packs.
I only reached rank 5, and that was 1 time. I may not be pro but in the ranked play, people always had those legends that i don't have. So i decided to leave ranked play for 3-4 months. With gold i bought packs, i got legends and dust. Then I saved 6000 gold in about 45 days to buy 60 Ungoro packs when it launches. I still have a lot of dust to craft.
ONLY AFTER THAT, i started playing a deck to understand it. If you don't have good cards, even if you play all day and think what your opponent will play, you won't go past rank 5. You will not be able to replace a card in your deck with an epic or legendary to do better, because you don't have those cards. And you probably won't want to craft them because you have little dust.
Ranking up is easier when you play the odds rather than play for fun outcomes. Play a solid Midrange deck like Hunter or Paladin, play on curve aggression without trying to extract maximum value for for each and every card if its not possible (eg don't be afraid to use a Hunters Mark on a 2 health minion or play a Beast Master onto an empty board etc etc) and you'll win more than you lose and rank up. Don't get tilted when your opponent draws better than you - some games you are simply destined to lose - and keep going until you reach your desired rank.

Im not new to this game by any means, i understand the fundamentals of playing all damn day and blah blah earn gold and etc ive done that lol. The highest rank ive achieved ever is 10. BUT i get what your saying i can really only blame myself.

I just have a habit wanting to try different things before i settle on one or at max 3 decks, but i get what you are saying, i do follow a few streamers that i enjoy watching.

this is the most useless answer ive ever read in this thread Kappa ! like for real is building a fast deck gonna win 30 game per day ? the only 2 fast decks that are avaible are aggro druid and pirate warrior which both need time to play and to make decision if u are bad at the game u will just keep losing with them ! do u know how much time does it take to win 30 games LOL even playing a fast deck in 1 hour u will play between 6 to 8 games which u can win or lose so please stop giving peaple useless advices :D
first of all if u play tier 1-2 decks and u cant reach at least rank 5 u just have to know that u are very bad and u have to accept it and then u have to start thinking how can i improve what mistakes i do that keeps me stuck in this rank !
ill give u an advice it okay to rope , rope if u need to ! even at turn 2 rope budd its better to rope and do the right thing than play very fast and lose the game !
now we get to buisness pick a deck i recommend u to pick between : quest warrior quest rogue ,midrane/murloc/control/aggro paladin , pirate warrior , aggro druid, freeze mage or gunther mage ! just netdeck 1 of these and craft all of it not even a single card missing
then start spamming ranked dont play casual its just waste of time
yea nad watch some streamer that plays the deck u play so u can understand how to mulligan when to play a card when to trade when to ignore board ect
hope this advices helps u ! cheers
