I want to apologise and say I thought there was a manual decktracker for iOS. And while there's lots of stat trackers for win-lose ratios etc. an actual manual deck tracker doesn't seem to exist so my mistake.
If someone does know of one that I can use on my phone whilst using the game on my iPad then that would be very cool.
I'm often away from my computer but have my iPad and my iPhone with me so having any decktracker would be nice.
Why do people use it if it's not an advantage? Even very good players seem to be using it? Knowing your deck can be a bit tricky playing many rounds of arena for obvious reasons. And often, many players like to switch between decks and try out new decks in other modes.
You can also say, "you can just study for a test, bringing in notes would not be an advantage." But what side of the class would you rather be in, the half that can bring notes or the half that can't?
While I understand your metaphor, I think it's more apt if you take it even further. Let's look down the track at those two halves: the half who studied actually learned the material and know it well and now don't need their notes. Those who copied through the exam may have done better in the short term, but now are reliant on notes and learned nothing.
An example in real life is, the reason pros stream without trackers often is to prepare for tournaments where they can't have them, and while after hours of play sometimes they misremember, they get it pretty good. Also worth mentioning, if you're tracking your opponents cards (likely even more important than your own) you're using the same skillset.
A simpler way to put it is "practice makes perfect".

The tournament rules are the same for everyone. There aren't tournaments where some can use deck trackers and some can't because they clearly provide an advantage. Furthermore most of the prominent streamers use deck trackers...
And you won't be practicing for ever with the same arena deck, so that doesn't really make sense either.
Arguing that it's not an advantage is just silly- practice makes perfect is irrelevant on this score.
I use trackstone, on my ipad air, which is ok but still leaves a lot to be desired, and to my knowledge it hasn’t been updated in a year, and then only to fix modest bugs.

It's all about control, son!
I play HS on iphone and use app called Trackstone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fwUXcq7Y6I
Yeah I use Trackstone on iOS. Works well for me. Then I can always manually load in the games to HDT if I want to (but I usually don't).

There's no need to pointlessly resurrect a 3 year old thread!
