Personally ? I lost my gaming materiel for LoL and my current internet connection is garbage so I stopped LoL and came back to Hearthstone recently. (I had stopped at meme streets release)
Why I started playing on the first place ? I played MTG and other card games before. I also played Warcraft III and WoW. When Hearthstone launched (I didn't have a beta access key) I was impressed with the smooth and nice interface (something MTG has always struggled with) plus it was about the charcaters of warcraft that I loved during my youth. So i decided to stick with it.
Another pirate bot. Hadn't played since the last one and queued first game into another but didn't have time to play this one out. Seems like a plague in Wild at the moment.
Yeah I play a silence priest quite a bit and the bot totally kept on trading into my taunt (but not killing it) which I then got to heal for 2 turns, Or it was just a real person realizing the only thing the could do was try to kill the taunt... hard to say.
Doesn't seem like there are enough rewards in Hearthstone to bother running bots. You run them for 100 gold a day or something?
I would guess that's why Blizzard doesn't care, there just isn't much incentive for botting. And that's probably good game design, attack it from the demand side, instead of the banning/detection side.
Well i met a suspicious pirate warrior, added him and roughly half an hour lated he accepted. I asked politely if he was botting and got a positive response. We had a short chat and i left him be. He didn't remove me though. A day later i noticed he'd reached rank 4. I left the game on for a twelve hour period checking in now and then between browsing and doing other stuff around the house. Every single time he was playing.
Spectated him once or twice. Didn't notice much out the ordinary except irratical movements. One specific thing was if the opponent developed a board it'd hover over each minion once in a very steady way before making a decision. Oh and it always responded to greetings and always said well played before making a killing blow.
Now he's rank 2xxx legendary and still playing.
But is he a bot? Dunno. I don't really want to know anymore.
I remember actually facing one at rank 6 by the way. I noticed he took about 5 seconds between each action he made, and he made some very weird plays. I tried to test whether he was a bot so I greeted him, but to my surprise he greeted back. I actually was very surprised, but then I tried out some more and it turned out the bot responded with a specific emote for each emote I used at it. Never saw that in a bot before so it was pretty cool. Seriously though, these bots can get rank 5. That definitely shows there is a problem with pirate warrior.

Yea they emote and will change pace of play slightly which disguises them quite well.
The biggest thing is they will make value trades with high value minions like Kazakus , Reno or Healbot even when you are fairly low in HP. They also don't concede when a loss is inevitable.
With no real system to report these players integrated into the client and the grind for rank being rather dull I can't see bots ever disappearing as they guarantee you a pack a day from gold & can easily grind out rank 5 for you each month. I know a lot of people will downplay this as not significant but 365 free packs a year plus rank 5 monthly rewards adds up.
End of season boredom led me to make anti-pirate deck and just drop back down to rank 5 and hunt pirate players trying to rank. Not sure blizzard would approve of using their new locked rank 5 system for this but I thought it would be great therapy!
I conceded constantly unless my opponent was a warrior and after doing this for 17 warriors games I can say there are a ton of pirate bots! I lost 1 game won 16 and of the 16 I won only 3 conceded the rest were most likely bots who let me build up tons of armor and never gave up trying to win an impossible game.
In the end the therapy was useless because beating bots isn't satisfying and the actual humans realized what was going on and quit pretty quickly. I guess in the end it's what I deserve for trying to get joy out of others misery!
I play mostly on weekends and later at night so maybe that skews the data but I am still meeting roughly 20% pirate warrior bots at rank 5. Very easy to spot as they still strongly favour trades into azure drake , antique healing bot , brann & kazakus over face dmg. Won't always do it but will do it way more often than a human. Occasionally when I am curious I just play one down to fatigue to learn a little more about the programming but yea still a lot of them in Wild!
What is the point of botting in a game like Hearthstone? Is there anything even worth farming? 1 pack worth of Gold per day potentially? But what does the botter then do with the gold? Do they buy packs in hopes of getting Legendaries and selling the account for profit? It would take a long, long time for it to be really fruitful unless you had the bot running across multiple clients.
So, basically, botting is pointless in Hearthstone and anyone who does it is terrible at life.
it gives you two times the gold a normal player does, so i would call it a smart move ... until you get banned of that bathroom divertissement that is hearthstone
>Rembers that I am only half paying attention, watching netflix, and reading through HP forums, probably making poor decisions.
Pirate bots continue to play games beyond hope plus they dont make poor decisions they make predictable decisions based around the fact they don't have knowledge of the opponents deck.
They emote you back and will play a game that feels randomly paced but there is a rhythm to it. I see plenty of human pirate warriors still and they are pretty distinguishable from the bots :P

get 500 wins maybe for the golden portrait? Does take a grind, playing at least 1000 games with a 50% win rate

Question everything.
Queued into 5 Pirate Bots at Rank 5 in Wild this afternoon. So still plenty around and clearly good enough to rank up.
Bots playing pirate warrior, is anyone really surprised? Just more proof for the stigma that typifies pirate warrior.
Fuck cubelock

I think this has to stop, this is not ok.
Bots should be running mech decks in wild.

All Pirate Warriors are bots.

>Wonders if I'm getting accused of being a bot

Kinda hard to realise if it is bot or not. Their play style is the same anyway ..
