I couldn't find the answer to this in the Q&A notes, so was wondering if anyone knew.
When TGT gets rotated out, will packs still be available to buy on the store? Or is that them gone for good? If so, I may have to go nab a few packs before then! :-S
Normally you shouldn't be able to buy neither adventures nor packs of old expansions so once rotation hits you shouldn't be able to buy anymore TGT packs, not that I would recommend buying TGT packs when considering all other expansions that are available.
Hmm. Yeah, I suppose I can just craft the Legs that still need from TGT
pretty much, and TGT doesn't have a lot of cards you really NEED. Besides, you NEVER want to buy packs specifically to get legendaries anyway. Once you get into mostly dust packs it's a rather bad deal to try to hunt for legendaries. Better to focus on commons/rares you don't have in other sets then using the dust from that to get legendaries from those other sets.
Thus if legendaries are what you are after, you probably don't need to get TGT packs even if it stayed forever and should focus more on the next expansion anyway.
What should be higher priority I think is LoE. Three of the legendaries are EXTREMELY high use and one other is critical for fatigue decks. Thus it'll be much better overall to buy that expansion instead o crafting the cards. Note that if you buy at least one wing you'll be allowed to buy the rest at any time even after rotation. You'll only be blocked from buying adventures if you donn't have ANY wings picked up by the time it rotates out.
I'd also recommend the first wing of BRM... only. Getting Emperor for 700 gold is a great value and you get quick shot as a bonus. After that, you are literally after 2 rares (demonwrath and flamewaker) and the rest are common so there's not much point to getting the rest of the wings (you get, on average 100 dust for a pack of 100 gold which you can't get close to in value on the other wings so buying the wings to dust them aren't good deals).
So make sure you get the first wings of BRM and LoE pinned down. TGT you can just use dust to deal with. If you are F2P you should've been saving for the next expansion two weeks ago, so GET GOING!
Keep in mind that the vast majority of packs will net you 40 dust (one plain rare and 4 plain commons), but that the average is pulled up significantly from just one legendary, which is worth 400, and every pack with an epic or gold rare is technically above average.
Always save your gold / cash for card packs from a new set.
It is so much more valuable to be able to open new packs on the day that the set drops, rather than having to grind out arena wins or burn dust before you can play standard without getting stomped on by new stuff.
If you somehow don't have much TGT by now, I wouldn't worry about missing the boat on card packs. There are only a handful of cards that will be playable in wild, and you can always craft them later. Better to pick up the new set, where at least the filler cards might have their moment in standard.
The only exception to this is if you have a completionist mentality - i.e. you aspire to own a copy of every card in the game. If that's the case, go nuts and splurge on TGT to fill out your collection of bad inspire cards, otherwise you'll have to craft them all later.
It's an average over a huge number of packs opened, and assumes that you will dust all common, rare and epic cards (both normal and golden) that you get, as well as golden or duplicated legendary cards. Most packs give you 40, but I've had plenty that were 100 or more.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
How do you calculted 100 dust per pack?

Me = Completionist Mentality.
That's basically the problem! ^_^
