Saw a Renolock vs Thijs running this card (not discovered) as tech, seems like it could be cool if you're a warlock playing higher ranks and are experience a lot of vs Renolock play. Anybody theorycrafting this?
Well I also play Krul, so if I'm up against Dragon Priest I simply use him to pull Jaraxxus to the board. He can then take out one of them but not both. There is also a chance the Priest will discover and use Jaraxxus himself, so there is that.
Now that Renolock is really popular it is a good tech choice. Or you can use it on an imp to heal yourself a bit.

That's bad play. Jaraxxus form is the best anti-priest tech you can have. That's why Krul is so neglected right now: because he can't coexist with Jaraxxus in hand. Second, because it requires you to build a deck around it. You need to have a wave of demons in hand to get value from it, you can do it by Kazakus potion or Kabal Trafficker, and that has tons of problems: you can't accumulate too much cards in hand to get them, so you'll lose hero power value. You'll not be able to tap as much and have hard time to get all those answers for everything that warlock is famous for. Orienting a renolock deck for around Demon will make it less consistent.
I have a Krul Warloc deck on my list too, got him on MSoG launch packs, so I had to give it a chance. It is quite strong, but far from optimal when compared with the other renolock variants. That's why I only use it casually for pure fun.
If you have Jaraxxus to pull a 3 attack body during late game, better not even have it on the list.
I put Kabal Courier in my renolock and it's been pretty good in mirror matchups. Getting an extra Kazakus alone is usually enough to win the game. Sacrificial pact is just too niche and irrelevant unless you're facing renolock. I guess you can always pact your own minion for the heal, but your early game only has imp gang boss making demons and it's essentially a dead card if you don't have imp gang boss when facing aggro.
I was on my way to Wild Legend and was in a Renolock vs. Renolock matchup. Played an 8 mana Jaraxxus on turn 10 on an empty board with a full hand - NO WAY I could lose.
My opponent ran Sacrificial Pact -_- I actually don't think that should be a thing. It's so stupid. If that can work, why can't you buff Jaraxxus with Demonfire or Demonheart? It's inconsistent and silly.
There are many other cards you can run to give yourself a better chance in that match up, and aren't completely useless anywhere else.
Well to be fair it isnt completely useless ass you can use it on demons spawned by Kazakus potions. Used to be good against Zoo too back when I was trying N'Zoth, the CorruptorDreadsteed Warlock.
It's still not worth it though.
Hell, even against renolock, not all of them run jaraxxus right now, and even if they do, you won't always see it before the game is already decided. Although it can also be useful to clear out some other demon the opponent plays early.
As a Dragon Priest player, I'd never pick Lord Jaraxxus from Drakonid Operative. Too risky. I'd gladly take a Sacrificial Pact, though. At best, it'd take out Jaraxxus and guarantee me a win - otherwise, it could take out a Doomguard or another obnoxious biggie.

First let me apologize for the necro.
Cluelesspug, hows it going. We have had our fair share of matchups this season :P
I am in complete agreement with you that Sacrificial Pact is complete bs. I have a ~40% winrate in the mirror match thanks to that card. I probably lost to it 6-7 times out of ~20 mirrors. In those 20 mirrors, i probably played Lord Jaraxxus 8-9 times. Everyone in wild seems to be running it, and its a problem... Cut Lord Jaraxxus and you lose to control. Play Jaraxxus and lose to renolock (which is the most popular control deck). Play Sacrificial Pact and have a dead card 2/3rds of the time..
It adds to the frustration knowing that these players are probably stringing together wins off of broken cards in a game that clearly lacks keywords.

Oh hey, haha. Good to see you and glad to hear you opinion on the matter. I was a bit salty when I first made the post and realize that my comparison to the other two cards was incorrect, but I certainly still agree that it is a broken mechanic and am astounded that they haven't addressed it yet. I feels even worse when opponents, like Mages and Priests, somehow get a Sacrificial Pact in their hand.
Jaraxxus is your win condition in Renolock. As a Secret Paladin, for example, that would be like your opponent having a card that reads, "When your opponent plays Mysterious Challenger, win the game". It's just silly.

Only if you're not running jaraxxus. Otherwise you're setting yourself up for a dragon priest discovering it and using it against you.
S39 Legend - Quest Rogue, S38 Legend - Murloc Paladin, S37 Legend - Miracle Rogue, S36 Top 200 Legend - Aggro Shaman, S35 - Finished Rank 51 Legend - Aggro Shaman, S34 Legend - Aggro Shaman

Regular NA Arena Leaderboard player.
Reached #1 in NA arena leaderboard in May 2018 with a 9.07 average!
Way too specific imo.
Fuck cubelock

Too narrow, just be the Warlock that has Jaraxxus and Elise Starseeker and you'll win the control war at the end of the game.

Forgive me, friend. I have failed.
Nope, suddenly your easiest matchup becomes your worst..dragon priest (drakonid operative).
