I can't rank up. I'm always stuck at around rank 17 to 15. It seems I keep winning one losing one and repeat. I've been playing since June 2015 and the highest rank I reached was rank 9 with secret hunter.
These are the deck i am currently playing. Please tell me what I am doing wrong because I'm not happy!
Do I need new decks? Do I need to find people to spectate me to see where I misplay? It always seems like the opponent has the best draws, etc. Help! Thanks.
Dragon Priest is strong, you are likely making misplays somewhere. I would recommend sticking with ONE deck only and then techking as necessary. It's impossible to tell what you're doing wrong without watching you play though.
Dragon Priest should be plenty though, last month I got to Rank 7 with it.
First and foremost I think everyone would agree that you should stick to one deck in ladder play (assuming that the deck works in the current meta) for the entire month. The only deck I would say that qualifies based on the decks listed above is the dragon priest and that deck is probably tier 2 at best.
In my opinion, the most effective decks to ladder with at the moment are aggro/face shaman and pirate warrior - purely for how quickly the games end. Reno mage/Reno priest are also good but the games typically last longer than 25 mins and this is not ideal for climbing the ladder.
So if you like dragon priest, I would say stick to that and push with only that deck. If you only care about climbing the ladder and don't mind being part of the aggro meta that most people hate then I'd say run either Pirate Warrior or Aggro Shaman (with pirates). The biggest thing is really learning how to play a deck inside and out.
@mawillar Okay, I will stick with one deck then. Now I wish I didn't craft the velen an hour ago. How do I know what the tier 1 decks are and what is the deck lists for what you mentioned? I don't like aggro because I like the rule "Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you" but if i need that to rank up then sure.

Thanks guys i didn't know these resources existed. I am going to create the aggro shaman. I just disenchanted the last of my legendary wild cards to get Patches and Thalnos. Wish me luck!
You'll also want to keep track of what you're facing. If you seem to be losing a lot to aggro decks. Find card replacements where you could have had a better card in that situation. Example: Add AOE if you're facing aggro. Add card draw if you're running out of steam. (add taunts, lower card curve). Most of the time you'll have something in your hand that is not helping the situation. Find that card and replace it with something that would work better. If you're facing a lot of aggro decks, it's probably better to have Mistress of Mixtures, Priest of the Feast,Wyrmrest Agent, rather than have a Shadow Word: Pain. SWP will only kill 1 minion and then that's it, you get nothing more from it.
Guys SchruteBucks helped me find a website that told me what decks are in each tier. I made a aggro shaman deck but would now like what to mulligan for. Any tips? Thanks for the help. I am currently playing the aggro shaman deck located here.
Play decks youre facing a lot, see it weakness, know matchups well, play good decks (you can't climb with those of your unless you are super high skill player but even then I doubt it). You can try to counter deck you face the most but then you lose vs some not so popular decks. long story short face warrior or aggro ahaman to 5, then aggro shaman or rogue to legend, then you can play that purify pirate priests of yours in ranked, otherwise casual.
Most important always play to win, f**k their hand play to your win conditions. Know how much burst they have, have multiple win conditions (your decks win cond is opponent have no cards, good luck climbing with dat in ranked), if you are in situation to chose between setting up lethal or eliminating all their threats and have lethal in like 2 turns if they dont play anything go for option 1 (I bet you are the other type of player). Ranked climb is no fun just best decks and most important decks that win fast (unless you play reno warlock aka best deck until next expansion, but it loses sometimes to aggro and is hard to play), Priest is for casual play or to counter aggro. Played dragon priest yesterday - never again, so bad atm
Jack00vr: Could not be more wrong if you tried. Any tier 1 or 2 deck (including Dragon Priest, Reno Mage, Miracle Rogue, etc) is good enough to at least hit rank 5. Sometimes - often, actually - you can't simply mad dash with your head down for lethal, ignore their potential plays, and hope for the best; even in aggro decks, I assume there is some level of 'playing around it' that you do.

hey, was also looking for a aggro shaman deck to try - hows this one going for you? I might give it a go, hope I don't need to craft too much lol!
Well this is a tier 1 deck for this week. I have someone spectating me right now teaching me a bit. It's an aggro deck that most people are playing along with pirate warrior.

There are multiple websites stating the current tiers of decks on ladder. Use them whenever you need to find out.
