Yes, I've oversimplified what control does but I will not stop saying that Jade Druid in its current form, is what ruins other control decks.
How do you respond to the counterargument that 90% of the decks you face aren't Jade Druid?
very simple - either is a jade (mostly dudu) or a fast/ aggro deck (mainly our beloved warr) Scarthcaroth made some really good points, Jade idol is really bad designed and ppl can see that when the auctioneer comes in play; like he/she said just because this type of deck doesn't win that often in comparison to PW, it isn't fair to play against it i could also give an example of bad designed card like the one in dragon priest - that 5 5/6 overstatted dragon with the op effect dragon priest losses to renolock, but that doesn't hide the fact of overstatted minions just to make the deck competitive
My experience 5 minutes ago. I'm playing mill rogue in casual. Que into druid. Druid goes first and immediately shuffles 3 jade idols into his deck. I concede. Seriously how the fuck can anyone defend this shit? It literally killed any gameplan I had or could have made on turn 1. Shit is indefensible and bad for the game. I can't play this game anymore. Not until ungoro anyways. Take care all.
fine, lets nerf jade idol and push an already tier 2 deck into the gutter.
dude, we don't aim to demolish the deck, just to make it more fair to play against
in the early game it losses to tempo, but at the late game with the auctioneer it snowballs really fast
how can you expect to estimate a board, when you clear a big wave of minions, just to see in the next turn how it got even bigger
I'm personally ok if we make the cost of jade idol 2 mana - druid will still be able to summon infinite jades, will still be able to use the auctioneer, but the snowballing pace will be slowed

no no you have it wrong, we need to make sure that jade druid is never played again, so that precious snowflakes can play a real control deck.

I also feel that jade idol is super broken - no other card no even combo of a few cards has had the power before to remove whole archtyped from the meta. And yes decks like control warrior would have farmed wins against most pirate decks - but if they are helpless against most jade meachanics especially against druid when tuned to do so they have completely vanished. Jade idol is just another example of often bad balance in Hearthstone with cheap and and powerful questions (jade golems in this case) and situational and often expensive answers (anything that is able to deal with it/ remove it). Making a card that alone has the option to overcome one of the core game ending mechanics (fatigue in this case) without a single draw back at all is ridiculous. As a start they could nerv jade idol to read: "choose one: summon a jade golem or shuffle 3 jade scrolls into your deck". These scrolls cost 1 mana and summon a jade golem just like now but without the option to reshuffle those for an infinite loop. This would still be enough to be comboed to great effect, but people would have to consider how much they wanna draw and the jade spam would end at a certain point. Granted they still grow really big - but the point is not to completely destroy the mechanic even though it is super boring. Really hoping for the new expension to introduce some nice cards and mechanics that reward good play and foresight rather than just drawing and playing on curve or winning the daily lottery of rngstone.
I like how there are still topics about Jade Idol being broken so Team 5 can see them but I just don't want to write about why is it broken anymore because I've said it thousand times already and I'm really really tired by now. Seeing people defend Jade Idol honestly makes me sick.

How does that invalidate my point about the designs of the deck? Win and playrate on their own aren't the only indicators of poor design. While, yes, they do help in pointing out the most obvious it's not so easily reducible. In fact your argument is not an argument at all. So, I suppose nice try there?
Yeah, sure, you don't face Jade Druid more often than not. And the answer to that is quite easy, we have a very fast, very agressive metagame. The strongest deck right now is one which absolutely trashes Jade Druid, it's no surprise that we do not see the deck played as often. If the metagame was slower, more control oriented then we would conversely see more Jade druids because they would beat those types of decks which in turn would lead to decks being styled more agressively to deal with that... and so forth.
It's the "natural" progression of the metagame and yet I'm not concerned about winrate or playrate. I'm concerned about what the deck does to the game independent of Win and Playrates. In that vein it's also not so easy to decide the exact effect of hyper agressive decks like pirates. Are they necessitated because Reno is in the game or is Reno neccessitated because those decks are in the game? Both are valid ways of looking at it and that's why I am partly glad that Reno is going to rotate and also partly worried because there is no longer going to be anything that is capable of pushing the reset button against hyper agressive decks.

dude, no need to be ironical here
any other class would need answers for those big minions and some of them are really expensive ( full removals like twisting nether; equality + consecration {those are even two cards} ) and will be exhausted sooner or later, while your opp builds a massive board over and over; you can't build a board and start playing from there i'm not defending control decks, but ANY deck that goes to late game;
because while the pirates are early game bullies, the jade dudus are late ones, especially when they speed up the factory

you're not getting it. We need Jade Druid players to want to quit hearthstone forever, thats' how bad jade idol needs to be nerfed. At a bare minimum, it needs to cost 10 mana and deal 20 damage to the player that plays it. MINIMUM. jade idol singlehandedly prevented any control decks from ever being played. So in order to pander to special snowflakes, we need to completely remove jade idol from even being considered. there needs to be a new set called the "hall of cancer" set, with only jade idol. no format can play that set.

Guys, Jade Idol didn't only ruin Fatigue archetypes, it also ruined slow decks as a whole.
Please, don't compare this to CW vs Freeze. Freeze is one deck, control is a part of the community.
Actually, Freeze Mage is part of the Combo archetype, which as a whole suffers at the hands of Control Warrior, so it is not just one deck.
And what would you suggest, removing warrior hero power from the game ? Comon, our request is far more reasonable... nerf the heck out of jade idol. Let the game keep some variety, make upcoming quests mechanics viable

Frankly spot on. Let us not forget that jase druid is the second most played deck on ladder as of the last VS report, followed by jade shaman. If quests turn out to be slower than jades, they'll dictate the Un'Goro meta too; you basically need to SMorc against them.
Literally make the jade idols it puts into the deck not possible to put more into the deck. You can still put 6 extra idols in your deck but it completely curves the absurdity of shutting down every control deck.
I also feel that jade idol is super broken - no other card no even combo of a few cards has had the power before to remove whole archtyped from the meta.
Are you... actually comparing a 7 mana 9/7 that can be silenced off to remove it's sustain to a 1 mana unlimited x/x that you can draw multiples of in the late game with Gagetzan Auctioneer?

Holy hell dude you must be high as fuck.
The thing is this, Jaraxxus, Nerub and Ysera are decent "infinite value" cards, because they can be countered and need to be played with that in mind. Jade just makes any of those value cards worthless and can only be countered by SMorc.
Only decks with super unfair mechanics to rely on ever seem to come into the meta. Part of the problem is that by design, control was the archetype that, while feeling powerful, also felt fair to play, as decisions really matter when piloting the decks as your resources are limited and though you have many answers they are specific to particular situations, nor did you kill your opponent from no where with an OTK, nor rush your opponent down before they had a chance to play the game.
Jade druid is the antithesis of this idea and punishes decks with a variety of answers, as the jade druid has to die before it gets out of control, answers lead to bigger problems next turn - it is infinite and exponential. It's cards being based on this idea, quality of play matters little, in the end the pay off is always overwhelming. This forces control to embrace combo options to have any chance of winning at all, as dealing incremental damage, is by design very difficult to achieve.
For these reasons, Jade Druid is too powerful as a tier 2 deck, it should be tier 3/4/sub-tier gimmick deck - capable of climbing to rank 5 and beyond perhaps in the hands of a skilled, experienced player if you draw well, but no more. Because right now it is forcing non meta control decks completely off the ladder. I'm pretty sure if the hunter hero power started as 1 damage and gained 1 damage with every use people would be saying it was busted, it's not far off the equivalent of that. I think jade idol may be the most design space limiting card ever printed in hearthstone.
