Good Gods, no! If you're finding this, you an't have played against a half-decent Cancer Jade Druid deck! From the moment the ramnp up starts, you are fighting a losing battle against Jades in a control matchup. It's the whole reason people are being forced to go Pirate Meta in the first place - being forced to go Fast-Face against this cancerous deck
if jade idol didn't exist the meta would be completely different. It inhibits control and lets pirates run amok.im convinced this is a fact, unless you care to refute.
People were don't understand the meta always complained about aggro. Aggro was keeping Jade in check. That allowed Reno to beat both Jade and Dragon Priest. That's no longer the case. Now Jade and water decks are the new pirates. Be careful what you wish for next time. For me personally Dragon Priest is the least fun to play against. With all the removal, taunts, and buffs to their minions health. Games drag on for a while. At least with aggro decks rates they are quick and not a time waster. I'm hoping to see control decks make a come back again in the new expansion.
The most balanced changes in my opinion would be that every new jade as a construct should get +1/1 everytime a jade is summoned, making them basically 1/1 at their core. At least you could tech a few silence cards to remove some big threats.
for jade idol the best thing i could think of would be that the first option instead of creating a new jade token, should just advance the "ticks" so the next jade token summoned is stronger.
like two jade idols into a jade behemoth would summon a 3/3 instead of a 1/1 for example. But that would make the card unplayable and it would be kinda sad. Because jade druid would be effectively killed this way.
Reading your post isn't necessary. The topic is enough. Jade Idol is so fucking dumb broken. I roll my eyes when druids very easily just start cycling 8/8s, with no worry of drawing out. How could that possibly be fair?
The base problem with jades is that the jade cards are undercosted, being reasonable strong summoňing 1/1 tokens. The player do not need to do anything and they get stronger and stronger golems just for playing. Compare it to elemental tribe where you receive a bonus only if you played an elemental a turn before.
I disagree. Fatigue as the only control option is the real travesty. In most card games, control decks are simply decks that play the resource game or that try to make certain heavy value packages work by using efficient removals and AOEs to stall the game to that point. Heck, before fatigue v fatigue pre standard, control matchups were handlock v double dragon control warrior or on occasion a control priest who would try to stick a couple of minions on board to eventually win with a 4/12 deathlord or ysera.
The reason these decks went away was because of the need for an anti aggro archetype in a mid range heavy meta and the prevalence of strenthened card draw for many mid range style decks allowing mid range to dominate these slow resource orriented decks.
Hopefully quests fix this, but most dont really favor full control decks as much as slower mid range...which isnt that bad anyway.
Sigh. Here we go again. Jade didn't ruin control, it merely forced other control decks to find ways to win that weren't fatigue. Because Reno is the only viable control oriented deck at the present (blame Kazakus and Patches, NOT Jade Idol), and because Renolock is the only Reno based control deck with end game burst/big finisher, it's easy to point the finger at Jade Idol for "ruining control."

I would argue the entire meta is bad for the game at the moment. I am sick of it all. I am sick of making creative decks and being bm'd by the 4th reno mage I have played in a row while I am playing burgle in fucking casual. Like yeah, you are real sick playing a tournament level deck in casual because you are scared of ladder bro. I am sick of knowing what my opponent is playing before the game has even started.
I am sick of Miracle Rogue, Jade Druid, Reno Jackson, Brann Bronzebeard, Azure Drake, Pirate Warrior, Midrange Shaman and Dragon Priest. The highlight of my Hearthstone playing today was when I played against a Yogg and load Hunter with a burgle Blade of C'thun Rogue. It was beyond refreshing.
My opinion might be the miniority. Actually I know it is since the majority of fuckers on ladder and casual don't have an ounce of originality in their decks, but I don't know if I can play anymore. I feel my only option is just play a netdeck myself and that is utterly fucking boring. Not a single deck on ladder that everyone plays is challenging or fun to play. Miracle is just as brain dead as pirate warrior. EVERY CURRENT META DECK IS JUST AS BRAIN DEAD AS PIRATE WARRIOR. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS PIRATE WARRIOR GAMES END FASTER. There I said it, felt good to let that out.

IDK my built handlock works great in slower meta, but everyone just thinks renolock is better because "warlock has not good healing", which is not the case. Renolock might be better in aggressive meta, winning games with 1 card, but in slower meta handlock is better cause it can present much more threats and end the game fast.
I bet there is a control warrior list out there that has heavy end with big minions and not just strategy of stalling the game with a bunch of spells, stacking armor and fatigueing your opponent to death. It's just few people are experimenting to find something that works, instead of netdecking decks.
So having a card (Jade Idol) that single-handedly prevents whole playstyles (fatigue/mill) from being viable is good for the game?
When one thing is single handedly the best at what it does, it in a sense "prevents all other things that do that thing" from being played. I haven't seen aggro shaman in a long time. Where are the threads demanding that Pirate Warrior be nerfed because it killed aggro?

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
People sticking up for this card kill me. Why is it OK for only one deck to have infinite draw value, on top of rising stats on jades that only cost 1? If this kind of shit isn't broken, then please Lords of Hearthstone Analysis, tell us what is.
Yes, it does.

no it isn't. every time an aggro deck was top tier it was overplayed, it has nothing to do with jades.
Aggro was dominant before jade idol, so I don't see how you can blame it on jade idol.

Jade (Jade Idol/Druid specifically) didn't ruin control, stop saying it did.

The fact that a single card (jade idol) entirely removed an archetype of deck from the game (mill/fatigue) is a sign that it was a dumb design choice
