Reno is what gives Kabal decks their staying power. Watched a meta report video Reynad made:
He's very adamant about Renolock being the best deck around, with Reno Priest being 2nd just because it loses to Renolock. Kazakus for instance has the most value creating a 10 mana spell, but with the pirate warrior meta getting to turn 10 seems almost impossible unless you have massive heal ability. Was there a mistake in making the Kabal's powerhouse cards only playable if your deck has no duplicates? Will Blizzard introduce another Reno-type card in the upcoming expansion? What do you think?
Truly an unique thread. These questions are definitely not asked in here daily.
Let me ask you a more engaging question then, what card do you think Blizzard will produce in the next expansion that will keep Kabal decks in a viable position?
Most likely scenario: After Reno rotates out, Blizzard will continue to support the "highlander" deck type by printing more cards with the "no duplicates" effect. It probably won't be another full heal card, but it will be something strong enough to justify running only single copies.

There were four printed this very set.

These are conditional cards that really only work BECAUSE Reno Jackson exists. Is it worth it to run "no duplicates" cards when Reno is non existent in standard? I'm willing to guarantee Blizzard will release another "no duplicates" powerhouse card in the upcoming expansion that works the way reno does, but not exactly the same. Idk I just wonder what people think that card would be, because I have no idea

Kazakus alone will keep the deck alive.

Kazakus doesn't heal you consistently. The reason why Reno works is due to the fact that you can recoup all your lost health with 6 mana. Good luck playing your "10 mana custom made card" if you die by turn 8.

This is what I'm saying, in the meta there will always be overpowered aggro/ midrange archetypes that are just favoured in the match-up. I'm willing to guarantee in a case study of non-reno vs reno kabal decks, there will be a higher win rate and consistency in a reno kabal deck. I just don't see a card like Kazakus really getting any value unless you have staying power within the archetype.
i dont believe blizzard/team 5 would print these kinds of cards that aren't exclusive to MSoG with no intent on printing more in future sets.
I think your correct here. We didn't see any support for C'thun because it was a stand alone type deal. I think now that the no duplicate effects are across multiple expansions we're very likely to see more of them in the future.
(Although, the archetype may die in between rotation and the first or second expansion/adventure post-rotation.)

When Reno gets rotated something new will take it's place. That's the point of rotations. Or are no more cards gonna get printed and I missed the memo?
I think that Warlock will suffer the most from the rotation of Reno and Priest the least. Warlock has so many self damaging cards and life tap that it really needs the Reno heal to get full power. Priest has other recovery tools woth Raza, greater healing potion, and Priest of the feast along with some anti-Aggro tools like potion of madness which make it more likely to survive without Reno to get Kazakus power.
7 mana 5/5 - If your deck contains no duplicates, restore 15 health to a friendly character (friendly to keep shadow priest in check).
Obviously not as good as Reno, but I imagine they certainly will need to print a Highlander Heal once LOE rotates, otherwise the archetype becomes dead for Standard which effectively would make MSG Highlander cards bunk.
Either that, or they will move Reno to Classic (or reprint), unless that's purely community speculation that Blizzard will do something like that.

nope, the most likely scenario is the one with inspire and joust, one expansion only and then blizzard forgets they exist to pursue a new toy, they are more similar to a little kid.
MSG and the Highlander decks need to be viable for at least one more year until Spring 2018. They will need to bring some replacement unless they want Kabal classes to die out in Standard...
what about a card that reads; "if you have no duplicates, double your heroe's HP." Brann will also be rotated out iirc, and it has just enough variables to make it decently balanced with 60 HP being max.

No, that's why renolock specificaly works. Reno decks are good because they have a high quality list of cards with a card that rewards them well for having that list. Renolock will die a horrible painful death. Reno priest will take a hit, and keep on trucking at what I would estimate to be tier two.
The decks will change for sure, but there's a reason why they put four legendary cards worth of support in the set. The rotation will shift it to this new highlander breed that plays without Reno. Highlander priest is the future for these types of decks, no more support is needed in my opinion.
