There are a lot of great cards so far many of which are something new BUT:
Everyone of them is much weaker than:
Fiery War Axe, Fireball, Hex, Preparation, Innervate, Flame Imp, Tyrion Fordring and tons of other Classic and Basic Cards.
In M:tG they almost always had the expert expansion a power level higher than the basic set - so excitement was correlated to the power as well as the freshness of the cards.
What are you talking about? what "expert expansion" are you talking about?
There was a coreset designed for new players and the normal block (made of 3 sets) and then suplemental content for commander, from the vault, etc. The core set was never designed to be the baseline to compare the other sets of the year, but to introduce new players into the game, that's it.
Now that the coreset doesn't exist the clash and planeswalker decks are there to fill that spot.
TL;DR, you're supporting your opinion on wrong ideas.

Hey guys I just wanna hear some of your opinions about the upcoming expansion.
When they released the cards from LoE or WotG I was very interested in the new cards and their synergys.
Now I look at the cards released so far and I am actually pissed that I preordered that shit. It feels like a 5 year old kid could design better cards. This new effect "give a random card in your hand +x +x". it's the worst effect ever.
I think it's the coolest expansion yet. I agree that the whole buff your hand minions is getting old, but still there are many cards to reveal yet. This mechanic is only for hunter/warrior/paladin. The other classes will have their own mechanic, which is interesting. Also:
-Coolest theme ever
-Tri class cards drastically change the game, hopefully to the better
I don't think this expansion is going to be lame for a few reasons:
So far as of today November 11th, 52 of the cards have been release out of 132, That is less than half the cards so there is still a chance that the expansion might have some good stuff.
Priest as of right now has some pretty exciting cards coming with this expansion so it's definitely going to change the meta with (hopefully) priest being viable
Most of the card that have been released like you said have effects that say "give a minion in your hand +x+x"" which is fine, it may not seem to flashy but the effect is indeed strong in a deck filled with cards that have similar effects to it. Even if you don't the Grimy goons have that big of a deal we still haven't seen the legendary Don Han Cho which is suppose to be the tri class legendary for hunter, warrior, and paladin.
We also still have yet to see most of the Jade lotus and The Kabal cards which i am hoping will be pretty awesome, also they haven't reveled any cards from shaman and warlock yet so that is still something to look forward to.
In a brief summary, I would say it's too early to tell, it feels a little underwhelming right now but only time will tell how strong this expansion really is
It feels like a 5 year old kid could design better cards.
To me it feels like a 5 year old kid could make a post with less whining than this.
Buffing stuff is the Goons theme, there's still the Kabal and Jade Lotus cards to be revealed. Just you wait to see the OPiness of the Kabal master race! You will be delighted!!
P.S. Stop bumping the forums with this shitty posts whining about an expansion that isn't even out yet.
I have seen plenty of comments already that lament the +x/+x-theme, but please remember that it just the theme of one family. They clearly want all cards of the same family to feel similar and I'm fine with that. I still think this expansion has a lot of potential and many of these cards will turn out to be quite powerful. And I'm eager to see what Kabal and Jade Lotus have in store for us. Just be patient.
I was thinking the same. I mean yeah it is great that priest is going to be playable again and that they try to slow down the meta. BUT none of the cards look really cool or interesting. Have look on the legendarys, there is only one card i am excited for. So far i am not really impressed even though the theme is very cool
I don't think you should be criticising the +x/+x theme yet until you see how the leader ties into all of it, there's likely a good reason why blizzard is holding onto revealing him last. I wouldn't call it bland just yet.
This is one of the few expansions where Blizz is making actual Control cards (like Dragonfire Potion, Mistress of Mixtures, Bartender or Rate Bruiser), in my opinion this is the third best expansion we ever had (after Loe and Naxx) It also have a pretty cool theme, and even though the ''give your minions +e/+e is a bit boring it looks like they're also making cards that synergize (like Dopplegangster) with that and also a few cards that just have cool effects (like Kazakus, Kun or Dirty Rat)
We ofc also have the usual strait up bad cards (and some boring) like Pirhanna Launcher, Blowgill Sniper or Backroom Bouncer...
I think Blizzard is still worried about introducing complex mechanics. Their main target audience (for Hearthstone) has always been the casuals.
I'm just happy Blizzard is moving in the right direction. Sure, some cards could've been designed better, or may not have very obvious synergies, but at least they're no longer printing cards that are just ridiculously powerful standalone, or cards with uncontrollable RNG.
So many people are whining about too much RNG in Hearthstone. Without these kind of RNG cards, every game would be like "1st round - drop a 1/2 or 2/1, 2nd round - drop a 2/3, 3rd round - drop a 3/4" etc., this would be very boring.
But like Noxious said in one of his recent videos, even Blizzard has seen at their own events, how much influence RNG can have, especially when Yogg turns around a game, which the opponent would have easily won. Look at all that good RNG Pavel had this year. This is why Blizzard makes these "boring looking" cards, I think they are trying to make the game more competetive, again.
I had the most enjoyable time with Hearthstone when it was normal to face a Control deck with a Control deck and play the game until the last card. This was when each of your turn had an influence on the outcome of the game and you had to think about each card you play. Not that aggro "I play every card I have" shit or the "I fucked up, so I just play Yogg and may still win".
This is why I am happy to see Blizzard making so many anti aggro cards. :)
Really? I am way more excited about this expansion than I ever was about WOG.
I mean yeah, people keep complaining about how all the cards are similar with the "+1/+1" effects and all, but they will spawn new decks and there will be more synergies (e.g. Dopplegangster).
For me personally this is shaping up to be one of the better expansions, with two more factions coming out - Kabal with their potions and red mana, and Jade Lotus with whatever it is their theme is going to be. I really like the theme and how it will translate into the decks that will spawn. Obviously the rest of the cards might end up being a total disappointment (you never know, eh?), but I don't think it'll be the case.
It's a boring mechanic to read about, I'll give you that. But who knows what it'll be like to actually play? I mean, be honest, did you anticipate Inspire and Joust being as bad as they were, or Discover being as good? Sure, this one's easy to grasp, but that doesn't mean it won't be fun.
Oh, and obligatory "only one of three mechanics revealed!". And Kazakus is awesome, so there's that.
At the start of every single expansion there is a thread like this. Going back all the way to gvg. A few cards get revealed, then some guy opens a thread saying "this expansion is lame" despite not even half of the cards being revealed. Threads like these are not new which shows how impatient people are on these forum, I think on one of those threads someone even said that dr boom was a garbage legendary and look how that turned out. People will never learn. I would say have a bit of patience and wait until we see the rest of the cards in the expansion before passing judgement on an entire expansion when not even half of the cards have even been revealed yet.
I do like the idea of the hand buffing mechanic, however to be fair I do think there are too many cards that do this, instead of maybe about using just 3 or 4 cards that buff your entire hand, there seems to be a bit of an over saturation of cards that do this. However the grimy goons cards that do not simply give hand buffs tend to have interesting effects and the hand buffs even make some cards potentially insane. look at dispatch kodo and dopplegangster, those cards are insane with the buffs and then you also have interesting early game minions like the mistress of mixtures which is a solid anti aggro card and dirty rat which is a strong early taunt with a downside which can end up being an upside if it pulls out a battlecry minion which is useless without its battlecry.
Also the priest cards look very powerful and we have not even seen the warlock or shaman cards yet. Kazakus is very creative and I suspect the other two tri class legendaries will be just as interesting. One thing I will say is that I hope paladin gets a card which really benefits from the buffs like hunter did with the dispatch kodo because they seem to have gotten a lot of the hand buff cards so I hope they do get something that is playable even on its own like the kodo.

So what do you guys think?
They want to change the whole meta and I'm glad for that. I'm sick and tired of shamans, etc. Let's see what decks are gonna be played.
So far, yes.
-let´s negotiate: you concede and I let you live...

-New hunter weapon since Glaivezooka
-Viable priest
Really loving this expansion so far.

The theme is way cooler than WotOG..
I can't wait to get my hands on these new cards - it looks epic!
Love the theme. Love the hand-buff mechanic. I think Priest and Paladin will take over Shaman at the top of the meta.
The buff your hand cards opens up many new possibilities with old cards too. Remember angry chicken? Might be played in the expansion.
